After updating the hboot to version 1.23.0000 successfully, I installed Insert coin ROM first time and successfully booted. And then I tried ARHD 6.0.2 by ext4 recovery, I'm not sure what button I clicked when I was asked 'is this Sensation 4G?', and then reboot.
It stopped at hboot and cannot use the recovery and the only available is fastboot. I tried to flash the recovery via fastboot but failed. I tried to update the hboot to 3.12 again using PG58IMG and every update just show 'Fail-pu' and nothing happens.
Somebody help!!!
Didn't we lose fast boot commands with the new firmwares? If so, that's why you couldn't use fast boot to push the firmware. Take out the sd card, connect it somehow to your computer and load the firmware on it that way. Then put it back in your phone and boot into the bootloader.
Or run RUU and start fresh.

The only fastboot command available is that the basic information such as getvar mid, getvar cid, etc. It reply 'failed' not only to the recovery but also ROMs.

Hello,
I'm really hoping you can help me out, for I have got myself into a bit of a pickle.
I have been eagerly awaiting ICS, and downloaded mrT69's PG58IMG.zip ics.
Now my phone is stuck in a loop of booting, I'll hear the music start up and quietly brilliant screen and it just keeps repeating. I've tried a system recovery from the hboot menu no dice, I've tried recopying pg58img.zip and receive an error wrong CID or similar, I'm a total plonker for bothering and now i'm just desperate to simply get my phone back working.
Anyway help would be great,
The details I got from my phone are
HBOOT 1.27 000
10.14.9035 01 M

* My phone is totally stock, this was the first thing I've attempted on it, and will be my last.
Please oh please help you're my only hope.
Cheers
What software version were you on before attempting all this? This is the most important thing to know before you try anything as it helps you find the RUU for you phone
Thanks for your reply,
Is there an easy way to find out what software?, I backed up my sdcard, if the info is stored, but it was the latest gingerbread I think, totally stock and the phone is a white sensation from asia, z710e I beleive, as you can tell I'm pretty hopeless with this stuff.
If you have done the flash please reboot to RECOVERY and WIPE the CACHE partition. After this reboot again to RECOVERY and you will see that everything is on ext4.
I'm working on a solution but I can't provide this at the moment to cover this problem during the flash process.
I would try this if you haven't already!!

When I select Recovery, I get the green circle arrow icon then a red triangle with exclamation mark, and nothing else.
*** I've now read up and now know that's normal, I've cleared the cache, same looping.

Repeating means rebooting ?
Your device was S-OFF?
It happened to me as well (or something like that) when installing a theme not suitable for GB, i am not going to tell you that i have the right solution but here what i did (and it worked!!) to recover my Sensation:
Look for and store in you sdcard:
- PG58IMG.zip (i add the file, it converts HBOOT version into 1.17.000)
- ROM Real_Stock_Experience (can give you dropbox link to download when you do not find it, it is 354MB)
Flash HBOOT 1.17.0000 from Recovery (when your device enters in HBOOT should ask you to appy update automaticly) and after that flash that ROM (it is a zip file), device shuold start normally, after that you can flash latest RUU.
Hope it helps.

That is probably because you have got an Asian ROM, i can only suggest you to make your device SuperCid (11111111), that will allow you to flash it. Look in ROM forum to find out how, now i remember i also had to do it, done it with device in HBOOT and connected to PC via USB, you need to enter certain commands in DOS.
Rgds,
well, I've tried for the last hour or so to get it going, and no luck, I'm more than likely going to throw the phone into the wall, at least I'll have some satisfaction.
i've tried using adb and adb devices in cmd, but it won't find the device, It also was a major pain to get the drivers to work, it seems to have but it doesn't want to cooperate, also it's mentioned to enable usd debugging, how on earth do I do this when the phone won't even boot?, I'm really running out of patience with the damn thing,
I reliase a solution could be changing to superCID and installing that fix, but I can't even get the phone to be recognized in windows to change it?
so I'll try and provide more info, it's an Unbranded white sensation from Hong Kong, I simply want to get it back again, can I find a firmware that is for the cid and flash it to accept?,
I just don't know what to do now, certainly didn't think this would be my evening tonight, lesson learnt,
It only uses adb when the phone is booted, so that won't work
Go into HBOOT and let us know what it says above 1.27.0000

Well I took a big punt and downloaded a ship rom i didn't know what ara meant but do now, my phone has turned a little middle eastern but I easily changed to english, which I remembered I had to do for my phone when I first purchased.
I made sure to get the same radio version, and have tested wifi and receiving calls, so as far as I can tell it functions again.
A very stressful evening,
but at least it's back and running,
appreciate everyones assistance

Which one did you download?
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_ARA_1.45.415.5_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_220005_signed
is the one I got, interesting enough, I tried the asian one afterwards and got a cannot update error, have tested phone and still works, so it didn't do anything but I must had some luck to download one that the phone liked.

Fixing boot loop issue after "Incorrect CID" error
Thanks to "xl VipeR lx" for the SuperCID guide and Joaquinf's guide on How to flash ICS 3.32 firmware.
Okay. Here's a step-by-step guide to fixing this boot loop if you're in a confused state:
The issue is due to problems with your CID, which means we'll have to fix that. First, plug your SD card into the computer and delete the PG58IMG.zip file from your root, then put the SD card back into the phone and keep it turned off.
1) Download the ADB tool from http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=672540&stc=1&d=1312138079
2) Make a folder named "adb" on your C:\ drive, and unzip the file into this folder (the path should look like this: C:\adb)
3) Open command prompt and type: cd c:\adb (keep command prompt open)
4) Reboot the phone into fastboot and then connect it to your PC
(in a second, your fastboot screen should show "fastboot USB")
5) Enter the command "fastboot oem writecid 11111111" in command prompt
6) Enter the command "fastboot reboot-bootloader"
7) Enter the command "fastboot getvar cid" (make sure your CID is now 11111111)
8) Enter the command "fastboot reboot"
9) Turn off your phone, put the SD back in your PC and copy the v3.32 PG58IMG.zip back onto the root, then reinsert it into the phone.
10) Reboot back to fastboot and the firmware should now install without error.
11) Now you need to plug the SD back in the PC and delete the PG58IMG.zip from your root, then reinsert it into the phone again.
11) Finally, boot back into fastboot and you could now go on to Superwipe and then install your ICS ROM as you'd originally intended.
you have to install htc sync to use adb commands
Today I Unlocked my Sensation with Hboot 1.18 via Revolutionary and flashed recovery...
Then I copied ARHD Firmware PGIMG32.zip latest package to SD card and Started Update... But it did some process , rebooted ones and entered bootloader agaon and gave CID error.. Then I read that I had to do SuperCID first...
Now I dont know what my CID is that I can put in firmware txt file...... Fastboot commands are not working... When I enter fastboot, Mobile is not being recognized but when I go into Recovery and Enter command adb devices, it shows the device serial number means connected but doesnt connect via fastboot...
I can go into recovery and flash ROM but when I flash Stock Old 2.3.5 GB ROM by EddyOS, it enters bootloop...
How should I resolve this Bootloop....
Somebody Help... its not my Sensation, I was doing this for someone else and he is gonna kill me...

Hi,
Would it be an idea to flash 1.17 firmware HERE
Then,flash a GB ROM.
Then,go into the ROM .
To find your original cid:
Type
Code:
getprop ro.cid
in a terminal on your phone .
Then,use,Kohr-Ah's thread to update the firmware.
Then install ICS ROM.
Thanks mate for ur help... Prob solved...
So i finally decided to root my phone. i rooted it and got CWM recovery and well i tried updating the firmwire to ics so i can flash an ics rom. and when i updated the firmwire it said cid error update failed. I rebooted my phone but it was stuck on bootloop. i assumed that the firmwire update went through since my phone would't boot up. So i went ahead and flashed the virtous rom and now that doesn't boot up either. i found out that i had to SuperCID first before i flash the ICS Firmwire. But in order to SuperCID my phone has to be On The Home Screen Wich i can not do since my phone is stuck on bootloop >.< ! Help ???

You are soff?
Did you have fastboot/adb setup?
Can you go into bootloader and post the hboot, radio, son/soff status.
(to go into bootloader remove battery... Put it again then press volume down and power button together... You'll get a white screen.. Post the details from that..)
First of all if you used PG58IMG.zip for firmware update then either remove the file from sdcard via a card reader.. Or just boot into bootloader without sdcard in your phone

You can either superCID or add YOUR cid to the firmware file.
Either one is pretty simple. I'm going to assume that you have adb set up already, but if not you'll need that first.
SuperCID:
remove or rename PG58IMG.zip from sdcard
reboot into bootloader (power+vol down)
from adb/fastboot directory:
Code:
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
put PG58IMG.zip back on sdcard
boot into bootloader again and let flash complete
Edit PG58IMG.zip:
extract the zip file
locate the android_info.txt
edit the file with notepad++ to add your cid matching the format of the others listed
compress all extracted files into a new zip and flash

You need to go to fastboot from hboot screen use volume up/down buttons to browse through menu and use power button to enter it once you've selected fastboot.
Then connect your device to your pc
Your phone should read fastboot usb.. Once you've done this
Now go to you pc and
Type fastboot devices
If it shows your device serial number then good its connected
Now to SuperCID
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
This will do.. Make sure it has eight ones
Then after this you can update your firmware using the pg***file you got

You can use the tool from my signature. It has option for SuperCID.
Please read through the instructions before running the tool.
So I know I'm a dumb ass but here's what happened:
HTC Rezound S-off
Amon Ra 3.15
Hboot 2.27
ViperRez 1.0.3
My phone was acting a little buggy and my friend kept telling me I should flash a firmware update so I flashed
this " PH98IMG-firmware.zip - 33.02 MB " from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1835811&highlight=ruu&nocache=1
I checked the MD5 when I dl'd to PC BUT not when I copied to sd card. When flashing, all steps were successful except for 2: MDM9K - FAIL-UZ & RADIO_V2 - FAIL-UZ
I rebooted and got stuck at the white HTC screen. Battery pop and I tried to flash again. This time almost everything returned -- FAIL-PU except for the two above which still said FAIL-UZ.
Adding insult to injury I tried flashing two more RUU's from android police, I have a screenshot attached of one of my failed attempts.
ADB Devices doesn't recognize my phone but FASTBOOT devices returns a serial number. Boot loader also changes from " fastboot" to "fastboot-usb" when I plug into a PC but my PC doesn't see my phone.
I think it was a corrupted RUU because I decided to check the MD5 of a RUU on my sd card after the damage was done and it was bad. I then copied the same file over to my sd card a bunch of times, checking each MD5 and more than half the time they were bad.
I appreciate any suggestions anyone might have.
Suggestion. I've ran into this before awhile back with my HTC EVO 4G. Which I still own .
Using phone in fastboot USB mode. Trying running this command " fastboot -w update update.zip" this is assuming u may have the zip file and also assuming "update.zip" is the file name.
Or, if all you have is the ruu.exe file the while in the bootloader.. perform a full wipe.. then go back into fastboot USB and type this in cmd. " fastboot reboot oem-78" or "fastboot oem rebootRUU" can't remember which and it will go straight into ruu mode then run the ruu.exe and see if this helps. Might also want to see if you can find a full ruu instead of just an update.
If you wish to try the first method, either obtain a zip format of the rom which you should be able to grab from the exe itself "Google this".
Hope this helps or makes any sense.. its 6:30am and typing on my phone lol. Now I'm gonna feed my 5month old n check back later today on your results or questions. happy flashing .... hopefully
Thanks for the reply. I tried running in fastboot...heres what I got:
c:\mini-adb_vigor>fastboot devices
HT19RS207848 fastboot
c:\mini-adb_vigor> fastboot -w update rezound_AndroidPolice_4.03.605.2_PH98IMG.z
ip
Whoops: didn't find expected signature
read_central_directory_entry failed
²ετ╪»╛g[ÑÖ╥yïS¬☼û÷A☼├║f:e{ûhh%►ÉÉW└|'╢σG╣S╙τφN}┐{S

I have to go do some stuff but I will check back this afternoon. Thanks again.

What about running this zip?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1833530
You can give it a try, but not sure if I read too quickly and seems that solution is only if you were trying to go from S-OFF to S-ON. If you want to try other zips or "ruu.exe" files you can try some from here. http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Vigor .
See if they can give you a better outcome while trying to flash with fastboot.
