Does it work on AT&T version of Galaxy S III? I haven't purchased the phone yet, but would really like to know all the potential capabilities of this baby.
If it doesn't work, then is there another way to get Chinese IME back to the AT&T version of Galaxy S III?

[Q] IMEI checking

I've just bought a Galaxy Fame gt-s6810P, I want to check it if it's copy or orginal so I did checked "Download/Recovery Mode" -as mentioned in some threads- and it goes successfully into.
the problem is when I go to check phone IMEI it gives me wrong information give me the brand Alcatel !!!!!:crying::crying:
so is really could be a COPY phone ?
please help me
EDIT:: just added this android animation which appears in the begining of recovery mode and resetting phone ,I don't know it's orginal in new samsung android ?

Yes it can be.
but if u got ur phone from the samsung original dealer with original warr. card then its ok.no need to panic

i'll give a s.shot today

no 4g after flashing 23.4.a.1.232 MEA ftf

After got my phone back from repair, an older version of Android 5.1.1 was installed. So I have flashed my Xperia Z3 with a stock 5.1.1 FTF, the 23.4.a.1.232 MEA. My preferred network is set WCDMA(preferred/GSM. Before repair I normally got to see the 4G indicator. Now after repair and the mentioned flash, I don't see this anymore. Any clue?
I live in NL and have a Vodafone subscription.

what do you have it set to in the prefered network type?

then you wont get 4g, you have to set it to 4g(prefered)/wcdma/gsm, if you don't have that option you need to flash a different rom that will have it

I just checked and found it in Xperifirm. Is Nordic Combined fine? I want a 5.1.1 Unbranded and 4g of course!

Try this as well.
Open dialer and dial *#*#SERVICE#*#*
Service Settings > Network Mode > Choose LTE_ONLY and see if that works

Thanks but in the meantime I have flashed my phone with the 232 Nordic version. In there the 4g(preferred)/3g/gsm is normally available, finally. I have a fine phone again and as always happy with my Z3. And, lessons learned, never flash a MEA ftf anymore.

Problems after Nougat update

I am using S7 with Nougat. I am facing few problems-
- Whenever I open Samsung Theme store to download new themes or icon packs, the photos/screenshots of the same does not load. Hardly the screenshots of 1 or two themes/icon pack loads and that too not all of them. Check the following-

- I downloaded Batman theme from the internet. When I try to purchase it, I get this error-
- I downloaded an icon pack, Black_Onyx, how to uninstall/delete the same. I was not able to find any option for the same (check no signal of the service provider)-
- The mobile signal automatically goes off for a few seconds, 10-40 seconds, randomly many times when I am using the phone and then automatically comes back-
- Any help regarding this too-

i have the same signal problem in BTU with 6.0.1 and 7.0 in Argentina, so i flash the ZTO (Brazil) and in my region a have not any problem with signal in 6.0 but 7.0 ota its unaviable, so i think that its a region problem with the Stock Rom.
sorry for my poor english.

So it's not just me. Even I have issues with signal. But only on my secondary SIM. I have dual SIM 935FD S7

Hi, firt I flash marshmallow from brazil ZTO, then I flash nougat ARO but in CSC i use HOME-CSC of marshnmallow ZTO. The signal problem disappeared completely. :victory::victory::victory::victory::victory:

Hello there! Yes and no, you cannot change the model number, but you can change the CSC code to for example one where updates are received faster. I have 2 methods you can try (I have an SM-T290 which is rooted):
Method #1: Root Essentials app​1. Power on your phone if it isn't yet.
2. Open Google Play Store and download this app.
3. Install the app.
4. Open the app.
5. Give all permissions that are needed.
6. At the default 'Tools' section, scroll down until you find something like 'CSC code changer'.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to change your CSC code.
Method #2: Phone by Google app (WILL ERASE DATA, atleast they say)​THIS METHOD MIGHT NOT WORK.
1. YOUR DATA WILL BE ERASED. So, back up your data.
2. Install Phone by Google (from the Play Store).
3. Open Phone by Google.
4. Dial this code:
*#*#27262826#*#*
5. Choose the CSC of your liking and tap on INSTALL.
6. Wait for your phone to reboot.
7. Enjoy your new CSC and the features that come with it!

That is the firmware for different countries. Every firmware has a specific country code, called CSC. I have for example a firmware from Thailand on my A12, and it's CSC code is THL (from Thailand). This can be changed, and I think it allows you to flash different firmware images (although I am not sure).

I thought of doing it by using odin....i have downloaded indian firmware will try flashing it with odin

Yes, that works. Checked another thread where someone flashed different firmware, and it was working correctly!
