thank you sir
This is a binary port from CM7.2 for Optimus Hub (E510) by Ricardo Cerqueira (rmcee), since all new LG Gingerbread devices are on new baseband I thought porting this ROM to the O1 will give us a full new baseband compatible ROM mostly because the E510 is very similar to the P500 in hardware, so I cooked it with files and configs from the V20H, mik_os CM7 6.61, Adfad666 CM7.2 F1 and Paolo´s v5 .35 no-touch kernel.
What works:
- GSM/2G/3G (new baseband) Screen menu and in Settings > Cyanogenmod Settings > Screen[/STRIKE] Fixed with new kernel
Other stuff:
- Doesn´t have FM RADIO
- Tethering menu isn't there (dont know why)
- Its based on the nightly 0 of CM72 for E510, I´ll consider updating only when a stable version come out.
- I'm from South America so the default language is Spanish, you have to change it manually
- With Paolo´s kernel CPU frequencies are not showing on CM's CPU menu, with franco kernel it shows, so if you want to change kernel go ahead, but if you want to keep using Paolo's kernel to change frequencies then you have to use an app like No-Frills Fixed with new kernel
Download [UPDATED 25-01-2011]: http://www.mediafire.com/?lijqy2jgkvb66di
To install you need first to have a V20 new baseband installed, then I recomend to use Amon-Ra 3.06 to wipe all userdata, wipe system/, flash, reboot and dont forget to disable all screen animations.
Full credits go for Ricardo Cerqueira for developing CM72 for E510, mik_os for his awesome work on this device, and Adfad666 for his CM72 F1

UPDATE 25-01-2011
##############
I´ve compiled Paolo's v6 kernel with this patches from Ricardo's kernel:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-kernel-msm7x27/commit/2d072806eab46b88581eb3b0196aee6163c55e3f
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-kernel-msm7x27/commit/041a1b2034eb747e674d331caa260cc10d833687
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-kernel-msm7x27/commit/9ceac8400f3c427b2cbfb38a5291f81139ab7d71
And also added smartassv2
https://github.com/erasmux/hero-kernel-2.6.35/commit/2ade635b0607acc1ab0ec7f4d274855a9487af57
works fine on nightlies, no blackscreenbug, stable overclock, no wi-fi battery drain. If you want try it:
[Kernel 2.6.35.14 vsync-on] (update 29/01: handsfree button works, thanks to mik_os patch)
And if you loooooove benchmarks
[Kernel 2.6.35.14 vsync-off]
With this I declare this project finished since now we have official nightlies theres no need to port nightlies from other devices, thanks for flashing.

Nice job data works ?
Good job bro...
Hope some screenshoot...
Thx

Why screenshot? It is CM7...
If you still don't know how it looks like...
So, if data is working we can have a "real" build with working data too
Nice
Great to see something new for new baseband!
Nice job!
I think that rom is the best looking for our O1. And based on CM 7.2 it will be wonderful to have it full operating!
Many thanks, and congrats for the effort!
looks promising.
what are the real advantages of the newer base band, if any?
great to see that there are new uprising dev's here..

I'll definitely give this an shot, sounds promising. The black screen bug seems fixed in some kernels.
I'm using mik's cm right now. I'll try seeing if an patch over works from 7.1 to 7.2. Think it would work?

new baseband meant to better but still in developing stages....
awsome work, hope that it will get bugfree soon, mdroid will be jumping with Joy after seeing this

This is very interesting, I was going to investigate new baseband compatibility in CM7 and you've confirmed it for me, I'll see what I can do to make a native rom compatible with the new baseband.
Give yourself a pat on the back, lots of people will be happy!
Was also looking at it a few days back, read on a blog they added better support for newer Quallcom-basebands (like our phone has)
Since Bluetooth is working does 3rd Party applications like spirit work for FM radio

legendary!
been waiting for this.
this would be the start of new baseband cm7 based roms builds!.
Anybody have tried it?

It'll make support for us devs a bit more complicated as we'll now have four possible roms to support:
Old Baseband, .32 Kernel
Old Baseband, .35 Kernel
New Baseband, .32 Kernel
New Baseband, .35 Kernel
If it works I think we (devs + faithful thread supporters) should have a massive push to get everyone over to the new baseband and drop support for the old.
whats the difference between old and new?
I'm currently running a Neapolitan ICS rom that came out a few months ago and I've been having a lot of stability/speed issues with it. Lookign to flash a new ROM but there are so many to choose from.. any suggestion? Most important things to be are stability and speed.. I don't care too much about a fancy feature set.
Thanks in advance
Im running Drew Garens Orca ROM, with matr1x 15.5 and i love it! Very stable

any ics rom now would be better than neapolitan since its using a hacked up gingerbread kernel. so i wouldnt even consider it truly ics since its not using a 3.0.8+ kernel.
I use bixie rom v.1.0.0 with matr1x kernel v.16 - It's really fast stable and smooth. Battery life is also good (just need to tweak some settings).
u can see a review about this combo on nexusshacks website
cheers
I use CyberGr V7. It's awesome.
Stable, Fast, stable and incredible battery. Lot of options and functions.
One word GREAT.
I am currently using CyberGR-MOD|NS.NGN ver. 7.0 Hybrid ICS, it crashes from time to time but for the most part is working fine! I would also remond the CyanogenMod 9 v4.0.3 v2.1 it has less custom features but its only getting better!
PV!
Check out kangs roms (AOKP). There getting lots of positive feedback
Sent from my Nexus S
Cm9 very fast, stable, you can tweak cpu governors, sounds and colors directly in the rom settings
Cyanogenmod 9 v2.1
Cyanogenmod 9 v2.1 runs very stable on my phone! I would definitely recommend it for stable daily use!
Bigxie Crespo Apex v1.02...brilliant. Was on NexusBeam before which was excellent too, But Bigxie ROm has lots of nice features, facebook sync etc.
Never had a reboot with either unless using a different oc'd kernel, So off the shelf Bigxie Crespo Apex v1.02 it is. rock solid. loving it. Don't like the boot graphic so flashed the stock one and its just perfect
CM9 Kang for the win
Nexus S (GSM i9020a)
CM9 Nightly Kang (Build 1 of v2.1)
Eugene's Kernel (Speedy-7)
OC 1100/100 (conservative)
I recommend CyberGRv7 ICS rom. It runs beauty on my nexus s!!
Hello ,
Currently I see in all AOSP kernel threads which kernel mess with what now build successfully, so I want to make a short list, maybe it will help one or the other. People have Graphic Error after flashing a kernel.
This is my first thread here, so please ignore my bad school English , i am out of it since 20 Years and i learn now again
CM Changed a few things in the Graphics ( Video Output ) so not all Kernel will work with Weekly 1.9 , i think with next week Build 2.0 the Commits are in Slimbean too.
This are the CM Commits
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/361d5ab106fc7b1278058b83e927a8c05aa60cb4
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/de142806214fcc559d780fe012586a280ae3cdb2
if you use a newer Kernel you will have Graphic Bugs with CM Base Builds ( Slimbean, Aokp, Carbon and more )
For now what is working :
Faux Kernel
Builds before 10/20/2013
11 and 12 and work with older Builds
Faux Kernel 13 only work with CM Based Builds after the 10/20/2013
http://faux.androidro.ms/jflte/jb43/
Chronic Kernel
You can use Build 2.3 and older http://www.chronic-buildbox.com/jf/ for Builds before CM changes
Build 2.31 for newer Builds.
KT Kernel
Build 10/20/2013 and later doesn't work with CM Base Builds before 10/20/2013
All older Builds will work.https://www.copy.com/s/4ZzqCaMCwfDx/...4.3 Versions with CM Base Builds before 10/20/2013
If such changes occur again in the future I will of course keep the thread up to date.
I hope one or the other, it helps a little with the selection of the suitable kernel.
Best Regards
Tylog
Hi. I guess Chronic 2.3.2 doesn't work with 1.9?

Right, you have to wait at tomorrow slimbean 2.0
GT-I9505 ~ SlimBean / Aosp 4.3.1
I noticed an experimental CM 11 build dated 12.01.2016; what's updated? Is the scanning bug fixed by any chance?
after flashing cm11...flash the latest thunderzap kernel using twrp....Scanning bug will be solved....I prefer using omni rom (4.4) by oliver and then flashing latest thunderzap kernel using twrp.....very nice and stable performance for kitkat
where did you find this 2016 cm11 build for xperia l?
Maybe he found it through OTAs on the CM11..
