[Q] different lockscreen wallpaper - T-Mobile LG G2x

hey community,
i am currently using the t-mobile lg g2x (rom hellfire sandwich 1.2, which is bad ass by the way) and I was wondering if there is a way or an application that i can use to change just the wallpaper of the lockscreen without a lockscreen replacement...i tried multipicture live wallpaper but my homescreen wallpaper image was split in half with the top half being on the bottom and the bottom half being on the top...i don't think it has been coded to be able to run on android 4.0+ as the reason why it's not running correctly...thanks a lot

Not quite sure about hfs but I know in hfp you just go into sertings>cyanogen mod settings>lockscreen>style>lockscreen background…
Worth a look good luck
Pin it to Win it.

I haven't seen any possibilities of this on a cm9 rom YET, I'm sure it will be after some time. I like the availability of the option as well.

[Q] Wallpaper size in cyanomod w/ ADW Launcher

Hello all,
I'm having a devil of a time with this one. It's probably been answered before, but there are so many threads and responses on here. Perhaps some of you can save me a lot of time and effort here?
I have an HTC Wildfire with the nightly build of Cyanogenmod. Everything's fine, except that the wallpapers (even the stock cyanogenmod ones) are all grossly oversized, showing only a small part of the image, which is all pixelated and blurred of course. Any new picture I've put on there has the same effect. Even resizing one to recommended defaults for the screensize using PS only does the same thing. I've tried setting the crop from the gallery to the full size of the image, but that doesn't work either.
I have the scrollable wallpaper option turned off in ADW as well. I just can't find ANYTHING to simply have a nice image sized properly on the background of the screen. It simply seems that the mod won't scale the image properly. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
SAME PROBLEM!
but im using htc aria. i already have wallpaper suitable for my aria resolution. (also have try so many resolution)
my step :
-click menu
-wallpaper
-choose from gallery
-size for cropping the image very accurate. all crop.

98% gingerbread look on froyo including screenoff animation

I love gingerbread but need the sense camera. So, since my friends still think my phone is CM7 even though it isn't, I thought I'd share my cheater way to get 2.2 to look 98% of the way there. There are only a few subtle visual differences, but it convinced a coworker today...
1. Koni elite III and get rid of the clock in status bar
2. Omegasun18 Honeycomb dreams for battery icon, other icons, etc...
3. Adw launcher by anderweb
4. NexusKang live wallpaper (free on market)
5. Calkulins remove sense
6. Sony sketch font (i like it on evervolv a lot!!!) - fachadick 300 fonts thread
7. The clock is beautiful widgets from market (i always use it since i paid)
8. Wimax notifier from Noxious Ninja for the wimax led notification (in xda themes and apps)
9. Screen Off and Lock by Katecca for the Gingerbread screen off animation (also on market)
hope this helps a little bit, keep the sense camera, have wimax notification, and the gingerbread screen off all on 2.2

Nice post man. Thanks for the info.
wow thanks for the info I'm going to try it now
thx man
great job man, thx alor for the info
Looks pretty cool. I'll have to mention this to my friend who just got his. doesn't like sense look but likes some of the default apps.
the screen off app is cool. not as convincing as the real thing. but cool.
one thing I would love to do is get it so it shows the animation when you actually hit the power button, not just hold search.

It's not bad though. the problem is you know it isn't the real thing. there are some other really cool screen off animations in there too. I use a blank on my screen to activate it instead of the search button. Blank icons are great, have about 6 on my home screen

I might consider doing this since I love the look of CM7 but I can't stand not using Qik, Skype on 3G and just a few other things that I used to do on 2.2 that I can't on 2.3.....Good post man!
thanks the animation looks great!
now i'm trying to find the sound that those old tvs made when turning off so I can put that sound to go along with the animation!
anyone have that?
there is no link

[Q] Oversized Wallpapers

Hi guys
I'm a total 'droid n00b so please be gentle with me.
I know I have seen Android devices which kinda "spread" an oversized wallpaper across all the home screens so that scrolling through the home screens also scrolls across the wallpaper. I just tried to set an oversized wallpaper and it made me crop it to the screen res
Is this a feature which is only available on some phones, or is there a tweak you have to load first... or am I totally blowing it out of my arse and the whole thing is a figment of my imagination?

get rid of Sense by replacing it with ADW Launcher. It will allow you to crop a wallpaper correctly for your home screen and it runs WAY faster with a ton more features. I would also recommend getting the paid version of the app. You can get it from Market.
also.. after you get ADW and are running it... go into Accounts & Sync in your settings and disable all of the Sense stuff.
edit: thought i should also add this recommendation. if you like the sense widgets and hate to part with them. or the weather clock...etc. you can get an app from market called Beautiful Widgets. it runs way faster than sense and does the same stuff... again with more options.
Errr.... that's all very nice but how does it relate to my question?
It is sense that is causing the wallpaper to display as it is, change sense back to the android stock option by removing sense will then enable the wallpaper you wanted.

In response to your original question, most Android devices and versions do spread the wallpaper across all the home screens, including older versions of Sense. Sense 3.0 however uses vertical wallpapers that do not scroll, it is a new feature in this version. I imagine they did it because of the 3D rotation of the home screens and it would make stretched wallpapers look weird when swiping, but who knows.
It would be pretty complex to have each screen with its own section of the wallpaper seperate, spin, slow and expand, and finally rest at the ending homescreen.

Thanks Cyberstorm98 - I shall lobby HTC and see if they'll make it an option when anims are off.

[Q] Removing wallpaper size restriction?

Hey guys, with all the flexibility that Android OS is supposed to have, one restriction that is really aggravating me is the wallpaper size contstraint...
Is there any way to get rid of the wallpaper size restriction? My goal basically is to able to make a wallpaper as wide as the amount of screens I have so that when I go to a different screen it looks like a different wallpaper. To see what i mean, take a wallpaper and use 2 home screens only. When you switch between the two, it loads a half of the wallpaper, so if you made one picture with 2 480x800 pictures, it would look like two seperate wallpapers. What I would like to do is use 3 home screens, and a wallpaper created by using 3 480x800 pictures (1440x800), but whenever I try to set a wallpaper it forces me to crop it to a 960x800 area. Can anyone chime in on if this is at all possible?
Thanks!
I like the idea and would like to know aswell..
I think wallpaper wizardrii works.

OK. It had been a really long time since I used multi live wallpaper.
My goal was to be able to have, on my 3 screens, individual wallpapers that i compiled randomly, and use a wallpaper changer to always have a different wallpaper on each screen. Multilive does that now! Just set it for random, and eveyr hour, all 3 of my screens update with a different wallpaper. All I did was create 480x800 versions of all the wallpapers i was going to randomly combine into large wide wallpapers, throw them all into a folder, and tell multilive wallpaper to pick from there. It's pretty damn sweet. Also, if a wallpaper that I don't want to see at that time comes around double tapping the screen changes them all up again. It's great.

For the life of me I cant find the option to change to lockscreen wallpaper. Is it even possible ?

Thanks but what im trying to achieve here is for example the weather lock screen the setting is greyed out. same foe stock screen. You can only change the wallpaper for the main blank lock screen.

you can use a custom wallpaper for all but Friend Stream, Photo Album, Weather and Stocks.
Those 4 are gpu rendered because they're dynamic animations, thats why the background's cant be changed on them. (It has been that way since they were introduced in sense 3.0)
Gotcha.. Sad.. recently switched from Touchwiz so still new for Sense.
Sense is a little bit heavy overlay but 4.0 is much better than 3.6. Once downloader unlock is available you can flash custom Rom without sense at all, if you want that..would be true android ice cream sandwich...

I've been using the Productivity lock screen style (lists your unread notifications). I switched back to blank, changed the lock screen wallpaper, and changed it back to Productivity. Doesn't work. The wallpaper changed back to home wallpaper.
There is no option to change the wallpaper of the Productivity lock screen style. Weird since everything is static with no animations at all.
