Check your PM.
Restore your nandroid backup, you know the one you should always make before flashing a new rom (especially a new kernel)
dont know what that is i got the phone as is with the rom on it already..

Do you know if you have Amon_Ra recovery or Cyan 1.4?
Download Cyanogens rom (the one you had before) extract the boot.img (use Winrar)
Copy it to the phone. (boot.img)
Go to the console in recovery mode.
Type
flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img
reboot
Or flash a new rom.
im sorry i dont get the "flash" term.. again i got the phone this way and dont know what to do to flash it

Flash is the same as install, the 10MB hack isn't for Rogers only normal Dreams/G1s.Just go into recovery mode again and look for an option called wipe. Then you can flash the ROM again assuming its on your SD.
But you managed to flash a second kernel image to add the ram hack ?
I have company tonight (due any minute) so I cant help too much, if I could I would do for free anyways.
But you need to find a guide detailing how to flash a custom rom, and follow it.
You should already have a recovery image and what not, so you only need to download the update.zip, copy it to the sdcard and use the "Flash update.zip" (or similar option)
I would say use something like Super D as its easier to use because you dont have to worry about doing the google apps manually.
I am sure some kind soul will help you out with a more detailed how too.
i dont think i have the file on the sd card i have a fil called update 4.2.14.1 and a rom called fasttest..
Just use this:

How much mula are we talking about?
And you tricked us! Everyone basically gave you the right advice to get you out of your hole.
You owe us all money.
Here's my input: Wipe, flash rom, and don't flash the 10mb ram hack.
Hallo,
I tried to install Darky's Rom and it failed.
After the install and reboot, my phone won't boot. It's stuck at the Galaxy S screen.
I can boot into download mode.
When I plug it in, the charging icon shows but isn't doing anything.
That's all I can tell...
Any ideas how I can fix this?

If you still have access to recoverymode 2e or clockworkmod, use this to flash a new ROM, for example a WIPE rom from http://romkitchen.org/.
If you can't get into recovery mode, use ODIN and download mode to flash a new rom. Use the search and stickies on how to do that .
Thanks...no recovery mode I'm afraid...
I'll try the romkitchen tip...

I'm afraid rom kitchen will ned recoverymode too.
Take a look at the SGS forums there is a guide somwhere on how to use odin to flash a new rom .
From there you should work towards recovery mode with clockworkmod and then you are basicly good to go for any rom.

Do I need adb for that?
You don't need adb to use odin, but you need working usb drivers.

You should come over into our device forums for more help. You have to install a custom recovery before going into recovery mode. Install ROM Manager from the market then in the app select the flash recovery image option.

Well follow these steps I'm about to give you. (I'm assuming you already have root privileges.) 1) Download ROM Manager. 2) Open ROM Manager and select the "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" button. 3) Select the model "HTC Hero (CDMA)" 4) Once the recovery is flashed push the "Ok" button 5) Select the "Reboot into Recovery" option 6) Give Superuser permissions if asked 7) Select your ROM and flash it 8) Select your GApps and flash it 8) Reboot.
i click reboot into recovery also and it gets stuck in htc screen i cant access the recovery from the hboot screen also

That means you don't have a custom recovery installed. Follow my instructions and flash the recovery image.
i click flash clockworkmod recovery and then it says successfully flashed clockworkmod recovery ! then it says : current recovery: clockworkmod 2.5.0.7 then i click reboot to recovery then ok then it boots and then it gets stuck at the white htc screen

As I said to you in the last thread you opened, try posting this in the Q&A for your device, as you are far more likely to get help from someone who has encountered this before or knows how to resolve it.
I personally would go for 4EXT touch because i hav had experienced problem with CWM touch , whats the differences ... not that much , 4ext got even better and more friendlly interface witch i personally prefer, to instal 4ext turn off ur mobile by power off or pulling the battery off and enter the boot menu go on fastboot conect it to usb and get the ADB fastboot drivers then place the recovery.img to the selected follder and enter CMD from start menu type cd.. then type cd.. again then cd + ( the folder path) and type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ( or the name of the file u want to instal) if u are already s-OFF just download 4ext updater and flash it trough there.

custom recoveries are the base for rooting and installing custom roms. I am quite surprised by how you managed to root successfully without installing a custom recovery.
My kind advice dont do anything without proper knowledge.
U can find clockworkmod recovery on the playstore
u can find all ur answers here in the xda forums
so read well before u flash
no dude , I got the cwm rom manage from the play store.. the trouble comes when I try to set up "custom recovery".. the thing is , cwm doesn't support my device and it requires me to manually install a cwm based recovery.. which I don't know how to do.. so any instructions on how to do that (or some alternative to cwm ) would be really helpful
thanks

then try installing the latest version suggested by the rom mangaer.
You could also try the twrp recovery. These recoveries support the rom manager
hope i helped
