Many sensation owners do not believe that S-off wil be coming by HTC. too all you disbelievers out there, i attach proof. Just spoke to a customer advisor right now. this is what i was told. i thought i would make a new thread as all the other threads get clogged up with off topic clutter, so please keep this topic related, and update it if we receive any more info on bootloaders. There is hope out there
Naturally i pencilled in my device number
I hope this is true, I mean it shouldn't be hard for them HTC to unlock their own bootloaders! Look at Motorola they did it. Hopefully it will be soon! Before fall I am keeping my fingers crossed!
i hope we will have the S-OFF in a few days ....
i cant live much more with s-on

well i guess if it's real will take a couple of weeks
Of course no comments on the date....sigh at HTC.
I know. And of course its true. The ref number erased. Is my sensation. They are just repairing fuzzy earpiece.
But i asked him for an update on the bootloaders, if they would unlock mine and date. Those were his replies

+1 for that, why we don't have the same unlocking process like Sony ??
I'm not really fussed with S-OFF as the internal memory is the only reason I rooted my Desire BUT it would be nice to remove the apps I don't use just to tidy things up a bit. That and put the stock boot animations on

I'd like to see CM7 on mine, much preferred CM7 + launcher Pro on my Desire to Stock HTC Sense on my Sensation.

If your a noob and you brick your device, you should be required to pay a fee for them to unbrick it. That should only be fair.
i think the noob will not unlock the bootloader, my oncle have a Desire and he don't know nothing about bootloader and flash, i do that for him....
That chat box doesn't say anything that hasn't already been said. It's just worded different. A waste of a thread that will do nothing but get peoples hopes up.
Nothing more than we already know. BTW, the earpiece will likely come back sounding the same.
I'm new to android.
Can someone clear this out for me:
* S-OFF means Bootloader unlocked?
* I'm asuming HTC will make an update for all devices which automatically unlocks the bootloader of any sensation? Or will the bootloader only be unlocked with the new devices?
call me hater, i don't trust HTC, hope they will prove that I'm wrong
Another coming soon promise.

Hi, my upgrade is in 3 months and I'm stuck at what to get, the phone i have at the moment is a HTC desire hd, so am used to sense UI, basically I'm stuck between 2 handsets either HTC sensation or xperia arc??
I like to put custom roms on my device and play around with it a lot, but the sensation bootloader is locked and I've also looked through arc dev forum on here and didn't find much by way of roms.
So am really stuck between the 2??
Just wondered if anyone could give some advice as to which one to possibly go for, if they got experience with the handset or just what they've general heard or know?
Thanks in advance to anyone that could help

I would stick with the DHD. its an really good device. C:
Otherthan would i take the arc since the screen of the sensation is crappy in my eyes.
Would the dual core play a major part to getting the sensation over the arc??
I don't really know much about dual core and wondered how much better it would be over a single core?

Best dear xdamembers,
I want to buy a sensation xe, but i was wondering... what kind of problems does have a sensation? I mean with software and hardware, touch error of dust ect ect , because i was wondering what kind of bugs,error/damage or major disadventages are they, and there is no topic about it.
Let me know

Ok I've searched all over to figure this out. I made an account here just to see if someone might be able to help
I have rooted my inspire 4g. Sense version 3.0 baseband 12.56.60.25u_26.10.04.03_m. Dunno if that makes any difference.
Question is... I can't get into ##3424# and I have a SIM error. "Not provisioned mm#2" I've had this SIM error since I got the phone. Is this the reason for not being able yo get into diag?? And how can I fix it. Thanks in advance and hope I haven't just over looked it.

Hi guys,
I've got HTC Desire S with broken display, probably. I am not sure if it only display, or MB is broken too.
I'd like to ask, if is it possible to run display from HTC Wildfire S on HTC Desire S. Do they have same bus ? thanks
Well... You can try, but I don't think it will work because Wildfire S has got a way smaller display than Desire S.
Try looking here
