hey there, i hope someone can help me...
so i updated my t-mobile germany brandad omnia 7 to mango and was very happy to see it having internetsharing. i use the phone with the card of another operator but it worked fine. atleast two times. the third time i used it it took a long time trying to set up the hotspot till i canceld by pressing the back button. since then i get an error message everytime i try to switch it on.
does anyone have an idea what could possibly be the cause of this or even how i can fix it other than resetting the device? also i dont want to so as long as i dont know what caused it. i dont want to lose my stuff just for it breaking down again...

my phone can no longer make or recieve calls, cant get to the phonce section of the phone no matter what, says i have no connection, yet can go online, has 3g icon, and can send and recive text. can anyone solve because the silly geese at AT&T said the only way to fix is to exhange and said thats not fixing it bub! so can anyone help

Try hard reset.
Are you running WM6.1 without a compatible radio?

i have every thing factory, all i did was tried to hard spl and i kept getting the white screen so i was unable to even get a new rom. i went to sleep woke up and boom no calls or phone feature, but everything else. so any clues
i had this problem too,when 3g icon appear on bar,i can't make any phone calls,receive calls,and data connection.but when the G icon appear,i can make phone...etc.i tried all solutions change the radio and roms,but still no luck.
i send my device to the warranty returns,and they changed it to a new one
i think that it is the tytn II problem.
my friend have a PDA store,and 3 customers complaining about this...
so send back your device for warranty

Im new here and i got a problem with my HTC Hero. Ive got it rooted to FroydVillain through this site and it worked fine for quite a while. But since thursday my phone flipped.
My trackball keeps lighted on, whatever i do. My battery runs low in like 6 hours...normally i did a whole day with it.
When i plug the usb cable it doesnt connect to my computer, it only starts powering up the battery. If its connected with my usb cable and i remove the battery the trackball starts flickering instead off burning all the time.
I didnt know what was going on, so i tried to do a nand restore in the root menu. After that i still had problems with the trackball and it still doesnt connect to my pc. Then i tried a factory reset in the root menu, but the problems are still there.
It doesnt let me get into the mobile network settings either. It doesnt find my provider and cant change it, so at the moment my whole phone is useless
Im quite new with this whole rooting thing, so i might have messed it up now? I hope some people know a solution for this. Please dont throw to geeky stuff to me, because i might not understand it

I have tried to fix it myself cause i didnt get any responds yet, but without succes. I got it to restart again in the original htc version, and get the setup menu where u can set your country, wifi connection etc...
It doesnt recognize my sim card though, and doesnt find a provider because of that. When its finished with the setup menu its at the 'normal' home screen. But as soon as it turns black as the screen saver i cant get the screen on again.
The trackball also still keeps burning.
I went to my local phone repair point, but they dont do androids :S its for nerds he said -_-
Im getting hopeless...plx could some1 tell me what to do. I want a whole reset off the phone...i dont care losing information on it. But because i cant connect it with my computer i have no idea how to flash a rom on it
Hi, I have a g1 that has suddenly stopped working - when I start it I see the t-mobile screen and then it switches to the android screen and just stays like that and doesnt start.
It stalled while making a call and I was not able to restart it.
I have tried wiping everything from recovery console (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566669) and re-flashing my phone with my old firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811620)
I don't know what's next here - can anyone please help?
some more background:
I had the phone for two years here in the US and have traveled out side of the country with it for several trips with no problems whatsoever, however, this phone I have given to my niece who doesnt live in the US.
The reason i'm saying this is that maybe the cause is a radio problem of some sort...
Let me know if you think of something coz I really don't know what do to next

If you had poked around and used the search feature, i'm pretty sure you can find what you are looking for
but anyhow, you need to flash another rom (via recovery) assuming you have already rooted because you somehow corrupted the system partition.
Thanks for the reply, I tried using cyanogen's mod but it didnt get me anywhere, I will try different mods but could this be a radio issue? is there a way to check that?
p.s. I did a thorough search of the forums and that's how i did all the things b4 posting but then I got stuck...

My friends phone is doing something extremely similar. He gave it to me to play with to make sure he wasn't mad, and it was actually the phone having issues.
Upon playing with it for a few hours problems started to occur. It would randomly shut off, then not want to reboot unless left sitting. It would get after the ROM screen and then shut off. I noticed that that a quick was to crash it was to start browsing the Internet over Wi-Fi. After a few pages loading and moving around the pages as they loaded the poor phone would just turn off.
Since he is using another phone in the mean time, I got his G1 without a SIM card. I was playing games on it, poking around in applications and more and the phone wouldn't turn off. I wasn't till I enabled Wi-Fi that problems started happening. I'm not sure if the Wi-Fi driver is part of the baseband unit or not but it seems that the more data the phone uses (3G or Wi-Fi) heightens its chance of turning off.
To get the phone to boot again I either have to take the battery our for a few minutes or leave it off for a while. Upon which time it will book as if nothing happens.
I also noted that every time it boots it shows an exception error related to "gapps" and you have to click force quit. His phone is running CyanogenMod 4.2. Also the Home key doesn't function, but this is software related because it can turn the screen on.

I have HTC MOZART, NODO Build, unbranded in indonesia.
Now my question is, once every 2-3 weeks, I got his kind of error. Basically The internet connection is gone when this happens, and I cannot update anything, unless of course I connect to zune in my laptop and use usb for internet connection shared from the laptop.
The only way to fix this AFAIK is by restarting the device (or remove the battery, and put back in)... hold the on button until off and turn on again is suffice though....
I dont mind restarting the phone within that interval, it is just weird and I tried to google and looked it up everywhere, I have not got the right explanation. Restarting the phone WORKS every time btw.
Anybody knows what this error is?

So my phone don't occasionally want to connect to the internet. Happens 3-4 times a week maybe. I had this problem earlier on my samsung S8, did not fix this. The solution is to restart the phone and everything is ok. But this is irritating and should be fixed or the solution is here somewhere.
Have any of you guys had this problem before?
I can reset the phone, but dont want to unless it is necessary.
