After successfully rooting the atrix 2, i attempted to update via OTA and utilize jim's method to keep root but after the update my phone no longer boots and is stuck on motorola dual core technology screen. I'm at work and dont have access fastboot, is there any way to get the phone operational again?

Ive just flashed/rooted my UK Wifi XOOM which all went well.
I was then trying to overclock it using the method stated here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=972414)
After installing the boot image the xoom just sits are the motorola dual core logo screen and does nothing.
I've tried searching for a fix or advice but I can't find anything.
Could anyone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks.
in your recovery, restore your backup, then get a oc kernel, I like rogues 1.43, install it in your recovery. the get set cpu from the market and find your sweet spot.
mines 1504 - yours might be higher or lower.
note that set cpu allows profiles for temp, battery, ...

Not only that, you used a really old file, from the early days of the Xoom. Please do your research and make sure you're using up-to-date files and methods that are appropriate for your version of Honeycomb OS.
I know that now!!!
Ive tried installing the rooted boot.img from the xoom wifi thread but im still getting the same screen at boot.
It mentions pushing files via adb but once the device hangs at the dual core screen i cant get an adb connection to my pc.
Any ideas or do i now just own a 10.1" soft brick?

Since i'm done trolling you now... Head to the general section. search for Unbricking Evita thread. Precceed to READ before you do a thing.
Yeah, ROM Manager doesn't support our device. CWM doesn't support our device. And you made the fatal mistake of flashing a recovery meant for the quad core One X. If you have access to a Linux machine, you can try the steps in the unbricking thread in the General forum, or the JET tool (in the Development forum).
Otherwise, you now have an expensive paperweight.
We're you on att version 2.20? If so there is nothing we can do to fix your phone. You have to send it to HTC or mobiletechvideos

Hello everyone,
I got an OTA update today and it said I needed to reboot my phone, which is an LG Optimus G E975.
When I did all I got was an error saying ''Secure booting Error!'' and under that ''Cause : boot certification verify''
What do I do now? I can't get in my phone at all and I have no knowledge on how to fix my phone and I really need it!
I would like to add that my phone was rooted.
If you guys could help me with this problem that would be amazing!
Please send your answers to [email protected]
Also please keep in mind that im not good with cellphones, in other words.. I don't know how to flash something so if you could just give me a step by step solution that would be amazing.
Thx a lot in advance!

I have the same issue after installing a software update ( that came available) yesterday.
2 Weeks before I tried to root my Optimus G without succes because i didn't finished the whole guide.
I didnt unlock the bootloader but everything worked fine up until now.
I doesn't boot and is stuck on the message: Secure booting error, so it does turn on and i dont think there is custom recovery installed because the bootloader isn't unlocked.
Please let me know what you think/ want more details.

i dont think its because you didnt unlock your boot loader, many phone rooting methods dont need to unlock the bootloader for that. your going to have to take this to the devices offical thread on xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1838 good luck mate.
I'm currently using the Droid Razr Maxx HD 9.18.94.XT926 and I'm trying to download the new KitKat OTA, but it's failing because I rooted my phone. I've been searching, and I'm not completely sure how to go about fixing this, if I even can. I have a locked bootloader if it makes any difference. To be honest, I feel silly for not being able to figure this out myself, but I really don't want to accidentally brick my phone. Turns out I know just enough to be dangerous. :crying:
Any help would be appreciated.
Instructions here for locked and unlocked bootloader. Also can't install the OTA with root. Has to be unmodified stock with stock recovery.

OK, I figured being root was the problem. So now for my next question, how do I flash a stock ROM? I tried using the RDS Lite but I couldn't get my phone to show up. I also wasn't sure which file to use from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=5 or if that mattered.
Here you go, you have to flash the stock rom, YOU will lose root.
Send me a pm (LOL i can't share links here hah i'm newbie), with the instructions that i followed, i'm right now on kit kat
House of Moto setup
please understand, I have a unlocked bootloader, so please take caution and read up on things before attempting.
Here I set House of moto up for XT926 it includes everything you should need to return to stock. I selected option #1
Of course you need the correct Motorola drivers installed for your phone.
More info on house of moto here:

My personal setup of House of moto setup for XT926 9.30.1 stock
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5FXi3o099wtS3c2R0pVWmVWV2c/edit?usp=sharing
I used house of moto to restore stock 9.30.1 then as the instructions from the link I post in a previous posted from iBolski I put the downloaded OTA Kit kat update for the 9.30.1 on my external sd card. found here
http://www.drdevs.com/devs/livinginkaos/misc/xt926update/Blur_Version.9.30.1.XT926.Verizon.en.US.zip
I then setup my phone up before updating, then ran stock recovery. I got the andy with red exclamation mark, held down vol+ and vol- down for a second then got menu. Selected zip from external sd. It verified things, installed new recovery then I went back to recovery after restart.
This time at the andy with red exclamation I pushed, held down vol+ then pwr button for a second. It then entered the menu, selected OTA zip again. It installed, I then finally rebooted and had kitkat running.

Thank you very much. Your instructions and file were extremely helpful. I'm now the happy owner of KitKat. For anyone else, reading, after I did everything and updated to KitKat, I had to factory reset my phone again to solve a problem with the Play Store, which worked with no problem.
Hello...as the title states, I need help to root my Vodafone Vodacom Power Tab 10. The tablet runs on Android 5.1 and is fairly new to the market, only available in South Africa.
Now I've tried all sorts of root apk's and PC software including KingRoot, Kingo Root, Framaroot, SRSRoot, etc, but none of these have been able to root my device.
Note I cannot boot into recovery mode, but I can boot into Fastmode.
So if anyone out there can, please help.
See attachment for the details of my tablet.
Thanx!!!
(Apologies if I've posted in the wrong section. I'm new here)
Bro i have been trying to root mine aswell.
its sad to see no one has replied to this thread i have been following your other 2 threads i'm not sure if you got my reply because i cant find the thread any more haha ,
but yes i have tried everything you have and possibly more ..
but all i can find is that it is an Alcatel one touch Pixi3 (10) rebranded as a vodacom power tab 10
but that hasnt helped me much either ..
Please let me know if you find a rooting option that works
I'm assuming you're talking about the thread at My broadband.(cannot post links as yet). Just google the title of this thread and the other should also appear on google.
I got a reply on it with a way that might help to root this device. haven't tried it yet cause I only saw the reply just now. will try the method and report back.
Hey guys,
I have a tablet called Vsun Vtab 3G that has similar specs to yours, I successfully root it with KingRoot 4.8.5 APK, but before using this method you should enable USB Debugging and Unlock Bootloader in Developer Options, if you don't have Dev Options you can have it by clicking in Build Number in About Tablet for 5 times! Hope it works, and I hope you can find a working custom recovery!

Have you managed to get a rom? I'll let you know if I find anything to fix it.
Is there any progress on this device. My device board is same as this one.
