Hello everyone,
I got an OTA update today and it said I needed to reboot my phone, which is an LG Optimus G E975.
When I did all I got was an error saying ''Secure booting Error!'' and under that ''Cause : boot certification verify''
What do I do now? I can't get in my phone at all and I have no knowledge on how to fix my phone and I really need it!
I would like to add that my phone was rooted.
If you guys could help me with this problem that would be amazing!
Please send your answers to [email protected]
Also please keep in mind that im not good with cellphones, in other words.. I don't know how to flash something so if you could just give me a step by step solution that would be amazing.
Thx a lot in advance!

im sure it was because you rooted it, but it shouldnt have bricked it. does it turn on at all? do you have a custom recovery installed?

I have the same issue after installing a software update ( that came available) yesterday.
2 Weeks before I tried to root my Optimus G without succes because i didn't finished the whole guide.
I didnt unlock the bootloader but everything worked fine up until now.
I doesn't boot and is stuck on the message: Secure booting error, so it does turn on and i dont think there is custom recovery installed because the bootloader isn't unlocked.
Please let me know what you think/ want more details.

i dont think its because you didnt unlock your boot loader, many phone rooting methods dont need to unlock the bootloader for that. your going to have to take this to the devices offical thread on xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1838 good luck mate.

Hey guys, here is my problem...
I had rooted my note using Zedomax's guide, and installed custom bootloader n all...
First time I tried to do OTA update, it just said 'bad file' < something along that line, tried it again and same.
Then I flashed a different bootloader I found here on the forums <sorry I cant seem to recall the link> and still, the process stops at 24% time and time.
I've tried this for about 6-7 times till now, always fails.
Still stuck in stock 4.0.4, can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

F*** knows why anyone would flash a bootloader .
Read the faqs and guides before playing with firmware .
Try
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978840
Essential return to stock is factory reset flash upgrade firmware via KIES or stock firmware via Odin .

Cos people try anything when they have no idea... Instead of reading just a little to find out they will blindly throw themselves off cliffs because the instructions say so....

Hi all ,
i need some help please ,
i got a Verizon Motorola Droid HD XT926 , after updating to original KitKat 4.4.2 the device was crap !
so i used DROID_RAZR_HD_Utility_1.21.zip to downgrade without rooting (Big Mistake!!!) , any way the device is booting to language\welcome screen ,
and when selecting language the "initializing" it get stuck like that forever ,
tried fastboot several times , also flashing the recovery but nothings helps.
i've looked on many solutions but since the device is still locked my options are limited,
i do not have any backup unfortunately ,
besides pointing out my mistakes , can any one please help?
Thanks
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

do you want to go back to stock kitkat? then use this fxz/sbf from @SamuriHL http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-hd/general/fxz-4-4-2-183-46-15-t2873083
if you want to do something else ask and i will tell you if it is possible i think you are unlocked because you were able to downgrade so you have custom rom options too

Hello, I am new to xda, so if this is in the wrong place, I apologize. Also, I am new to this rooting stuff, so I do not now much about it.
Anyway, I have a just rooted Xperia Z3 D6653 Android Device and I was in the middle of installing TWRP (which successfully installed) and my phone got stuck in a boot loop. I have searched every where for a fix but nothing is working. I tried to factory reset and wipe the dalviq cache on recovery mode, but it says it always fails. I still try to reboot the phone into the system, but it keeps looping. Could someone please help me out? Any help would be really appreciated.
Also my bootloader is unlocked
And I am running Lollipop.
Thanks

Fist of all: welcome to xda and thanks for actually posting in the right thread
Now, your problem: what did you do exactly?
You downgraded to 4.4.4, rooted, and then installed recovery? Which guide did you follow and what programs did you use?
Generally speaking what you should be able to do:
Turn phone off (long vol+ & power press)
Prepare flashtool by selecting your .ftf of choice (recommendable to use 4.4.4 so you can get it right then) and checking clear data and cache
Then let it prepare everything
Hold down vol- when asked tip and plug your phone in
You'll get a fresh start!
Best of luck!
Just one thing: you first unlocked your phone and then rooted it? If so that'd be a pitty, cause that'd mean you lost DRM keys and functions. Why did you exactly unlock it if I may ask?
Edit: you said you are on LP, therefore I assume you are unrooted, which would show why it didn't work
I advise you to follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3017056
As it shows everything really well

Well I tried what you said, but I cannot find a link. So I just downloaded a random one (its the right version) but in flashtool it just keeps coming up with errors. I followed the steps from these 3 websites
http://howtorootmobile.com/root-sony-xperia-z3-easy-steps/#top_ankor
http://howtorootmobile.com/unlock-bootloader-sony-xperia-z2/
http://howtorootmobile.com/guide-install-twrp-recovery-sony-xperia-z3/
What I was installing TWRP and the last step was to type in fastboot reboot on the command window, that is when my Xperia Z3 got stuck in a boot loop. I dont really know what a ROM is and how to properly flash stuff, so I probably made a mistake while installing TWRP and thats why I get errors trying to wipe files using it.
Also, I did not downgrade before I rooted and unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP. I didnt even know you had to downgrade. Would that be a reason why the bootloop occured?

Hello,
I bought an LG G3 VS985 Verizon from ebay, brand new in box. the phone looks great but i only had one thing on my mind... rooting. i tried all of the methods i could possibly find, but every time i try to do anything in download mode, it just fails. flat-out fails. i can easily get IN-to download mode but it wont flash anything. i think i have a clue as to why though but i don't know what it means. I've looked at images of other lg g3 download mode and mine is the only one that has a red "Modified" label on the bottom. Am i wrong in thinking that the download mode is locked somehow? i can't live without rooting so any help would be appreciated
since im new to the forums XDA wont let me insert outside links so i cant show you guys a picture of the phone or the ebay listing (if thats applicable) sorry.
Thanks in advance!
Hi !
The message "modified" shows that the device has been once rooted , you can root it again if you want
Follow one of these threads

Good luck !
Thanks for the quick reply! but i have another problem. when i follow that tutorial you sent me, i connect to
adb and reboot to recovery but it reboots to a screen with a little android and it says no command, and it just sits there.
Is the recovery broken/missing?
Thanks in advance!
I guess the recovery is missing, try to flash it again
