Real Football 2012 - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

Hi
Real Football (soccer) 2012 by Gameloft is supporting our device.
At least it appears in the android market and i was able to download the extra 482MB needed to play.
However, using Valhalla Final with Adrenaline shot 14.1 I was not able to compete in a match.
First it closed the screen and froze on initial menus, but even after a reboot I made, I actually initiated the match and it got stuck on the lineups banner and I had to reboot again.
By the way, device got a little warmer while running the game.
Has anyone been able to run it and actually play a match ?
What ROM & tweaks are you using ?
Thanks.

Its not available in the US. Which is weird.
I guess they dont think Americans would want to play soccer.

Do you play fifa 12?

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 working good on SGS 4G !
used Val Final ROM with RC2 kernel and AS15beta.

Angry Birds 1.3.5

I don't know about everyone else but when I tried to download Angry Birds off the market it couldn't find it so I googled it and found the apk.
http://www.mediafire.com/?e9up28zcw6lfive
It runs kind of slow on my hero CM6, like the lite beta, but it still works. This is the full version and it is pretty fun imo.

guess u didn't see this thread located about 2 threads under yours? probably would have been more beneficial to post this there instead of creating a new thread..
just fyi for the next time..

You cant post apps that you did not have permission to post on here. And considering the full version is paid, that would be a ware. Please take down the link.
Um... No it doesn't cost money, its ad supported. Therefore I would Imagine Rovio would like it on as many smart phones as possible.

My Girlfriend has been harassing me about this game every since i let her play it on my evo (worst mistake i could've done) I installed it via apk as it wont show on the market for her phone? But the graphics are all off it doesnt show some of the things like certain rocks, wooden boards etc..... I was wondering was there anything I could do to fix this now she is running latest stock rom. Should i flash it and if so what rom would allow her to play the game correctly? Or do i need a special version or am i s.o.l?

It runs like it should now. Full animations, no funky background issues, and MUCH MUCH smoother than before. It's *almost* as good as playing on the EVO.
Also included in the update: 45 new levels, and a new bird.

CM6.1 with the latest CFS uncapped kernel. I'd say it runs more than 10 fps, probably closer to 20. By no means is it as smooth as it is on the iphone/ipod or the EVO, but it's FAR better than it was prior to the update.

Weird, I'm running CM6.1 with the latest CFS uncapped kernel, and I'm getting maybe 5 fps. I wonder what the difference is? Are you using JIT?

I currently do have JIT enabled. Even before I enabled it, and was running one of the CM6 nightlies, i was getting better than 10fps. Maybe 5 or 10fps at the worst moments, but the game for me has ALWAYS been slightly choppy, I'd say around 20ish fps at best, closer to 15 usually. It seems to be running right around 20-23fps right now, don't know if there's a way to test it.
EDIT: to clear this up, prior to the update, when I couldn't see textures, it seemed to run slower than it does with textures/full animation.

I still only see 1.3.5 on getjar and in the market. Any mediafire links like the last time?
P.S. - Never mind, appbrain got it for me.
Anyone know of a way to mark the first 3 worlds as complete so I can just try the new world/levels? ("the big setup")
// I had uninstalled after completing the earlier version
New update for QVGA devices is now almost unplayable. Extreme lag
Just updated it for my Aria and the framerates are disgusting. It also seems like they broke some of the game mechanics, some of the blocks and pigs are indestructible.
Agree, not playable... And even more graphic bugs.
I just updated through the Market and that was the 1.4.2 version.
Apears to be working ok for me too
Anyone have a direct link cause i didnt install it from market in first place so cant update there.
Well, it's good they moved the ad to the top right, else you'd have to wait for it to disappear before you could get to the stage when they showed you the new bird you could use.
Textures seem to be fixed on the Hero... I'm running Floyo 1.1.9.
Lag seems to be worse now though.
Lag lag lag lag laaaaaaaaag LAG !
on my MT4G lag got better?
I downloaded this right off the market from my Samsung Moment and it took almost twice as long as usual on the loading screen alone. Gameplay itself, sucked. I'd go through the action off pulling back a bird in the slingshot and immediately release, wait at least 3 seconds for the bird to actually start moving back on the screen, and a few more for the bird to start moving forward and fly through the air. Completely unplayable at that speed. Uninstalled and reinstalled the older version. Thank god for backups. Might not have the newer levels, but at least it's playable.
I also noticed in my limited gameplay, as someone else has mentioned, that the pigs seemed nearly indestructible. I'd hit em dead on with a bird and they wouldn't die...
Ad placement in the top right corner, dumbest idea ever.
The update plays just fine on the Galaxy S, but then everything does. It still sucks down the battery. I'm also convinced 11-1 is impossible.

[HOW TO] Play games requiring NVIDIA tegra. ShadowGun, Sprinkle, etc..

Hey dudes. So I decided to put this guide together for anyone wanting to play Shadowgun and Sprinkle and other games requiring NVIDIA tegra that we can't normally play. These games are all pretty badass. In case you don't know, NVIDIA tegra is a processor that allows for better graphics, etc.
Someone asked about playing these games so I researched and the results I found were pretty awesome , so here we are. The app/tool that makes this all possible is called Chainfire3D. It's an intermediary OpenGL driver.
You can find more detailed info about it in Chainfire's thread. Thank Chainfire when you're there, he's the man for coming up with this.
Currently I am running CM7 #258 with chad's 11272011 incredikernel and have no problems playing these games, although reading through chainfire's thread I've found that people running sense 3.5 are having issues with it. Check the thread, it's worth taking the 5 minutes. Also I would do a nandroid just in case. Chainfire mentioned that some phones won't reboot after installing the CF3D driver mentioned in step 2. Again, I had no problems whatsoever but like I said do a nandroid anyway, it can't hurt . If you encounter that problem, boot into recovery, restore your backup and you're golden.
So I'll start by outlining the steps and providing links:
1. Download Chainfire3D. There are 2 versions. Free and Pro. You need Pro in order to edit the OpenGL settings for the games to play and get optimal performance. It's 5 bucks and well worth it.
2. Open Chainfire3D, Install the CF3D driver and let it reboot.
3. Download the plugins from this thread. Follow the instructions in that thread. Basically just download the plugins, extract to root of your sdcard, open Chainfire3D and install the plugins.
4. "Fix Market Settings" in Chainfire3D while still open. This will allow you to find the games in the market.
5. Buy/Install the games. The funny thing I found is that when searching the market from my phone, "Shadowgun" pulls up no results. But when searching "Madfinger" (the company that makes the game) Shadowgun shows up. So if you're having issues finding games, you might want to search the company that makes the game. I've only had that happen with Shadowgun though.
6. Edit your OpenGL settings per app in Chainfire3D. I found that the settings in this thread work perfectly on my phone. Although yours might need to be different I suggest you start with the settings in the screenshot in that thread. You need to designate NVIDIA as the plugin for Shadowgun as well as Sprinkle.
7. Play the game and think "f**k yeah, this is dope!"
I hope this helps people interested in playing these games because they are pretty frickin cool. Who said rooting isn't awesome? Cheers!
Not sure if i want to play the games you mentioned, but does this help in running fast 5 HD? That game lags like hell.

I couldn't say, I've never played it. If you can play it on your inc without an intermediary then I don't think it's run with tegra, otherwise you wouldn't be able to play. Atleast that's what I've learned.

Yeah, the tegra plugins wouldn't do you any good, but Chainfire3D may still prove useful for improving performance.

Touchpad compatibility on CM7 vs. Stock

Bin4ry has posted a message today about touchpad compatibility: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20293185&postcount=1886
I think it'd be an interesting project to find out which games have working touchpads on stock and don't work with them on CM7. If we can narrow down the issue a little bit, development will be more fluid.
I'll try to keep a list updated, and I think a code is in order.
GREEN GAMES have working touchpads on both Stock and CM7.
RED GAMES only have working touchpads on Stock ROMs, and not on CM7.
I'll start the list:
Minecraft-Pocket Edition
Samurai 2: Vengeance
ShadowGun
Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave
Mupen64Plus-Android Edition
Age of Zombies
FIFA 12
9MM
Rainbow Six
Backstab HD
Asphalt 6 HD
Dead Space
Reckless Getaway - Vehicles always pull to the left
ShadowGun
DDSW
Mupen64 Plus
9mm
Rainbow Six
Backstab HD*
Asphalt 6 HD
Will have more later once I try out a few more.
*Backstab HD doesn't even start, a message pops up saying the device isn't compatible.
Verizon R800x for future reference.
You can add evey EA game to the red list. Infact hot pursuit gave me an error about the touchpads, maybe that will help (i'm not on CM7 Anymore though)

Gameloft games don't work either if I remember correctly.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
I'd rather use a case-by-case basis. Basically because if we have more games, it will be easier to find the common point among them. So far we've seen indie studios like Madfinger and Mojang pay attention to the touchpad thing, while corporate monsters like Gameloft and EA blatantly fail.
Star legends works on stock, but not cm7

Age of Zombies
Shadowgun
Guerilla Bob XP
Dead Space
Reckless Getaway - Vehicles always pull to the left.
I'm pretty sure that this list will end up being:
(Red) - EA/Gameloft
(Grn) - Everything else

AH yes, this one can be removed, rebooted after reinstall and it works fine now. This one never had touchpad support on the stock rom.

I have been discussing with Bin4ry and he has discovered that the stock keyboard can be used by apps to check touchpad status, basically what the user is doing with the touchpads (swiping in certain directions etc.).
So I flashed CM7 and pushed textinput-tng.apk to /system/app and I chmod' it to 644.
Problem is, nothing happened, I think this is because when I looked in the AndroidManifest.xml of the textinput-tng.apk I realised it requires semc framework.
We have a few options:
Try a workaround
Port some of the semc framework
Try rebuilding the keyboard without semc framework required, involves decompiling.
It is possible, but not something I could do. It would be best to let Bin4ry and FXP do the work as they did something for the keyboard on the mini pro if I remember correctly.

[Q] Running Fred! Not running that well on my device :/

Once in a while you come across a game that you like instantly. "Running fred" is one of these games. But sadly it isnt running smoothly at all.
Im on sch rom with uc kernel v8.
Can anyone test it on his/her device(its a free game) and tell me if its running smoothly or not? Or maybe can anyone suggest a way to smoothen the game up?
Update: Just tried it on galaxy s2 and its running as smooth as silk.... guess our device cant handle it :/.... Its weird though since our device can properly play games like asphalt 6 hd and spider man hd
Well have you tried falling fred from the same dev? Its also free yet it runs on our phone smoothly. But the running fred isn't. I also have that game and it's great but as you said it's kinda laggy that you can't see where the hell the coins are when are aleeady that fast. Well i think the reason is the GPU. Or perhaps it is not yet OPTIMIZED for our device. Let's wait for updates of that game.

Hmm i guess you're right... we have to play the waiting game for this awesome app :/
you must have installed this as an apk from another phone or something's messed up in my market. I can see it, it prompts me to instal it, but it doesn't install, so I can't test it without making some effort to find a way to download it.
Probably something is wrong with your market since i did downloaded it from the android market.
