makes no odds done that twice now because of rom no load...

That's strange I'm using Font Changer on ICS (last Elegancia ROM) without problems. Just had to update application to the newest version.
You can try to flash font from recovery or use ROM Toolbox https://market.android.com/details?...wyLDEsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkubGliZXJ0eS50b29sYm94Il0. which also allow this feature.

Hi... try with this...

Installing Swype by using stock frameworkres.apk...

Hiya, folks. I'm running Tiamat 1.4.4 with a theme and I want to install Swype. It won't register with it's server because it doesn't like something about the modified frameworkres.apk. So I wish to go to the stock one and then back to the one I'm using once I've installed Swype, according to this post by a Swype dev: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14726476&postcount=33
Problem for me is that I have no idea what the frameworkres.apk does. I've DLed the stock one. What would I have to do after loading it and then Swype in order to get back what I have now? Will this wipe out my theme, my kernel,...?
Thanks all!
Flash a "back to stock" theme. Or reflash the system.img in fastboot.
Tried flashing a back-to-stock theme and the Swype install still didn't work.
What do I lose if I flash system.img in fastboot? Is that just the original theme or is it more than that?

[Q] Installing FITDroid v3.2 ROM

Hi everyone.
I'm thinking of installing the FITDroid v3.2 ROM on my FIT (Have 2.3.4 Stock Rom with Root) but I have a question:
In the topic it says the I shoud flash it on the DEODEXED XXKPL ROM FIRMWARE (for better performance), my question is if I can install it since my phone has the XXKPG FIRMWARE.
I read the topic and one user recommended to another to update to XXKPL using Kies but I tried and it said that my phone can't update using Kies.

I think you have to flash original ROM (Froyo 2.1 perhaps??) AND unroot it to update with KIES.
THEN install Fitdroid v3.2
The Matter is the modified appearance to KIES.
Trie it this way: click

Thank's already installed the firmware.
But have another question, on the instructions to install FITDroid it says to use CWM Recovery (which I had before), but the firmware changed the recovery to another (I think it's the original) so my question is if I can install without CWM Recovery and how do I install CWM (the tutorials I found always replace the firmware).

No you cannot install custom ROM such as Fitdroid using the orginal recovery
First install the CWM using odin(You can Do this only if you have 2.3.x it will not work on froyo!)
and then flash the ROM
OK. Already installed CWM and FITDroid.
Just have one question about FITDroid, can I use SetCPU instead of No-Frills CPU Controller to change the frequencies (since SetCPU allows to create profiles)?

Yes you can use SetCPU also
But No frills allows to change I/O scheduler also which is not available in SetCPU
OK, one last thing I just have a problems with FITDroid, whice is sometimes the wireless doen't work properly.
It says that it's connected to my router but when I try to use a brownser, market, etc. it says that there isn't a connection and the only way I found to fix that is to reboot (Which fixes the problem temporarily since after a few hours the same happens). Does anyone know how to fix it or is it a bug on the ROM?
same problem for wifi ..its quite buggy i had experienced too much bug in fitdroid..took me days on flash and reflash , reboot

I'm using the latest v3.2.

Other ROMS not working.. (pt.2)

yep pt.2 people meaning i already had this problem before and have been solved!
but now this time it's more persistent than before because the only ROM that's been only working for me is the new FITDroid 3.5 (5-2-12) and the other ROM is just going to be stuck at the splash screen or something (where the ROM name or title will be displayed) or be on a bootloop I already tried wiping data, cache and dalvik cache and still it doesn't work.
Working ROMs so far:
Fitdroid 3.5 by Vishwanathptl
Creed's Revolution 3.1 by pratyush.creed w/ boot.zip patch for FitDroid 3.5 by Vishwanathptl
RazoDroiD 4.0 by rajrocks w/ boot.zip patch for Fitdroid 3.5 by Vishwanathptl
ChocoBread 3.0.0 by parudthz w/ boot.zip patch for Fitdroid 3.5 by Vishwanathptl
P.S. "boot.zip" patch for Fitdroid 3.5 can be found HERE or HERE if you can't find it.. (p.s. that's not a mirror it is still Vishwanathptl's original link)
and here are the ROMs i've tried so far and the problems...
CM:
CM7.2 RC1 by Vishwanathptl - stuck on android screen
CM7.2 RC1 by TJ - stuck on android screen
CyanMobile by Squadzone - stuck on android screen
Miracle ROM (base on CM) by DQiB -stuck on android screen
Non-CM ROM:
Creed's ROM 3.1 by pratyush.creed - stuck on splash or title screen
RazoDroid 4.0 by rajrocks - stuck on splash or title screen
Chocobread 3.0.0 by parudthz - stuck on splash or title screen
Stock and Deodexed ROM:
XXKPP - Bootloop
XXKPL deodexed by Vishwanathptl - Bootloop
DXKT7 - Bootloop
XWKTI - Bootloop
DDKT3 - Bootloop
And yes I did wipe everything data, cache and dalvik cache and still those problems are still coming up.
So does anyone know what's the problem here
edit new info: I think there's something wrong with the "data" because CWM even on the stock recovery it's saying "cannot mount data".
edit new info 2: something weird just happened some of the ROM that i've tested started to work and some of these ROM is RazoDroiD 4.0 so this is what happened..
I flashed RazodroiD 4.0 on CWM and then i flashed Vish. "Boot.zip" patch for Fitdroid 3.5 which is here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17874689&postcount=2 and it started to work!
weird thing is that when i go to settings>about phone>kernel version it looked like this ---> "2.6.35.7-perf-CL260130 [email protected] #2" and the Build Number is RazoDroiD v4.0 by rishee. This is the samething that I have been seeing on the other ROM.

nope didn't work i even tried formating everything on CWM but still stuck on title screen or bootloop...
now this time it's showing some errors sometimes i can see in the CWM "error can't mount data" when i flash some ROM and when i tried to wipe the data i see this "E: format_volume: make_extf4fs fail(????) on /dev/block/stl13". and now i can't wipe dalvik cache because it's not showing the yes & no wipe dalvik cache.
P.S still on FITDroid 3.5 because that's the only ROM that have been working for me.
The stock rom that you tried flashing, did they have bootloaders removed??

Annson's thread has the bootloaders removed...
So now try this...
Download latest firmware for your region from samfirmware and flash it...
Root it, and then install cwm by tj style...
And then try flashing any stock based (not cm based) custom rom (obviously except fitdroid, since it already works)...
Also, format system (from cwm) and remove sim card before flashing custom rom...

Do tell us the result...

Okay, do you actually wait for the bootanim to go?
Coz it takes time, won't boot up in 10secs...
And the while the bootanim is running, if the phone vibrates just a little, and then the screen dims somewhat, then the rom is successfully flashed...

Have you tried to flash the Full package Stock Rom.???
I mean not the one package Stock Rom..

yep i waited somewhere around 10-15 min. on every ROM I've flashed (including stock rom which usually takes around under 5 min. i think?) and still stuck on splash/title screen or bootloop.

I know very little about aroma...but,
You have edited the updater script to match the options in aroma right?
Chances are the aroma is recognizing the choices but the actuall updater script isn't because it isn't matching the aroma options...so its just flashing the base stuff instead if all your options

GB Kernel
Flash a GB kernel before you use any aroma installer. From my experience I've ran into many issues with some ICS kernels and all GB kernels.
You can use SGS Kernal Flasher from the marketplace to back up and flash kernels.
Hope this helped.

Same story here, I ALWAYS have problems whenever I have to use AROMA to install a ROM. AROMA sucks - CWM mightn't be as pretty but at least it works!

HELP! Stuck in bootloop after using Pimp My ROM.

Using stock Gingerbread kernel (DDLF2 rooted with Clockwork Recovery Mod installed - Amit Bagaria's CF-ROOT).
I had changed the default boot animation to the green transparent droid using Pimp My ROM (version 3.4). After this, the phone went into a boot loop. My mistake - didn't take a backup using Nandroid before trying the tweaks. Tried the restore default boot animation from within Pimp My ROM itself. However it says no primary boot animation to restore!! Also tried to unpimp all changes from within the tweaker itself, still doesn't work and shows the boot animation that was set which made it go into the bootloop. One thing I do notice is that the reboot happens after all media scanning is over.
I still have CWM though.
I don't want to lose any data. Can anyone please help recover?
Thanks in advance. Any help would be much appreciated.

I used pimp my rom once and I almost bricked my phone... I assume you are on custom rom now... just reflash that custrom zip through CWM.. clear cache and dalvik and reboot in this you wont loose any data.... BUT BUT BUT just be sure you FLASH THAT PARTICULAR CUSTOM ROM ZIP FILE ONLY WHICH YOU CURRENTLY HAD ON YOUR DEVICE... FLASHING OTHER ROM WITHOUT WIPING THE DATA WILL CAUSE PERMANENT HARD BRICK AND YOU HAVE TO SAY R.I.P TO YOUR PHONE THEN SO BE CAREFULL
If u did a backup of build.prop u can replace with aroma file manager, or u can download one of the build.prop with tweaks by topdroid and replace with aroma fm

Flashed Dhiru's CM10 ROM
Thank you members for the replies.
I flashed a custom ROM (Dhiru's CM 10 (alpha 5) based off 4.1.2).
My installation of CWM saved my hind and made the transition not too difficult.
mustafahussain, bro, yes, many features in Pimp My ROM don't even work in the stock Gingerbread DDLF2 ROM. I guess that why's the developer still has it at alpha. I'm not going to risk using the damn thing again. I'll opt for a safer alternative.
