[Solved] How to downgrade to Froyo 2.2.1 from VillainROM 1.0 for Galaxy ACE S5830

Hi all,
I bought new Sansung Galaxy ACE (Froyo 2.2.1)
I flashed with Custom ROM VillainROM 1.0 (the only ROM available for ACE)..
But now I wants to downgrade to 2.2.1 back..since VillainROM is having few bugs..
I tried following steps but could not succeed..
a) Download Stock ROM from samfirmware.com
b) Download Cooper.ops file from above source.
c) Flashed with Odin...selected one package option
Every thing was going right..but when Odin flash a message " -------wait for reboot....." (which is generally appears every time when we flash normally) my phone did not restart...I tried 3-4 time ...but nothing happened..even I was not able to restart by cell
Then I re-flashed with VillainROM, my cell was flashed perfectly..!!!
Then again tried stock ROM...but again same..nothing happened..
Now the problem is when ever i tried to flash with stock rom..no results..but when with VillainROM..its perfectly flashed..
Can any one help..?
Note: I have downloaded every thing twice to confirm corrupt files..

U need to download from samfirmware a multi file froyo package (so that include APBOOT). After succesfuly instal Froyo again you can flash with the latest (prefered) one package release.

Because I am not able to locate those file any where..

Finally Guys..did it...downgraded VillianROM to Froyo 2.2.1...yupeee....
a) Downloaded Froyo Europe Multi File Firmware from samfirmware.com.
b) Flased using Odin..
c) Then reflashed with Stock ROM for S5830 for India...
And finally..restored back to..Froyo 2.2.1...

Good it happened to me so i wasted 1 night to figure out how to solve this.....
anyway at my mini after downgrade back to Froyo my phone got a bug, i cant install any launcher
every single one i tried (included Zeam and GoLauncher) after succesfull instal first hit on "home" button drop my fon in black screen "samsung"
and keep vibrate like this
1 buzzz pause 2 buzz buzzz one and one and one
just batery out and factory reset from recovery menu
anyone can figure out what happened?

Mine also happened that. The buzzz thing. And happens ocasionaly when slide to answer a call.
And I'm now clean from factory.
Strange things happens with this device

[Q] Please installing rom help!!

Hi guys!! please help!! i just tryed to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1344440 (I mean the rc4) on my samsung galaxy fit GT5670L and it get stocked later of the reboting on a black screen with
"A N D R O I D" writed there... i have no clue about what happened, theres just says: E:Error in /tmp/sideloadpackage.zip (Status 0) Installation aborted.
what can i do to save my mobile phone from the apocalypsis...??

Dont worry this doesnt sound like a hard brick..
which was the base rom u flashed at first?
ex: if it was 2.3.4 then download a rom for 2.3.4 like fitdroid or creeds rom or there are many here then copy it to your sd card then try flashing again..
or maybe you havent downloaded the rom properly...

WoW! thx man.. so good to see thats all it takes... i cant do it rigth now cause is to late and im going to sleep cause of work tomorrow, but tomorrow, i will try again... thx

just try and tell if it works....and also remember to charge your battery fully to be on the safer side
also try using another sd card...if it says some problem in E:Error in /tmp/sideloadpackage.zip its mostly the sd card coz everytime i wipe data and cache it shows some problem related to E:
that problem was solved after i changed the sd card....

hey der, currently am on CM 7.1 by vish patil, i wanna try CREED's rom can i flash CREED's rom directly on CM 7.1 or i've to flsh original stock rom again if i have to flash Stock rom den can u give me proper link to download OFFICIAL INDIAN GINGERBREAD FIRMWARE..? with procedure.

Hey Dude i am back... and now im using CyanogenMod 7.1 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324190 and everything is just awesome but, i have a problem, my mobile phone cant connect 3G network and i dont knwo why is that happening....
I can work with 2G perfectly but, when i turn off the "only 2G" and it try to connect the 3G network it gets disconnected...
Is this happening to me only?? any help will be great...

Guys, try Creed's Rom v1.6, is stable and faster than CM.
@cyanide0007 - You don't need to get back to the official gingerbread, i flashed on CM7 too.

i've rooted my cell with superoneclick on froyo os and back it up then i installed gingerbread ... but when i try to install WCM it gives me ""unable to connect :error 5"" on odin ... is that mean my phone is not rooted anymore ?? what shoold i do to install it ??

Dude its CWM.
you installed gingerbread rite?? was it wrkng fine?? if yes then you have rooted it correctly dunno wats the prob then.. also have a look at this GalaxyFitpedia

i fixed the prob only on rebooting my lap i' don't know where the prob is coming from ... but it's ok ... i installed gb nightly V9 but i thing it's not working well bcz of the devlopers ... i reboot my phone after the first installation it dnt reconise the sim card ... and also after unlockoing the device it stocks on android logo so i take it off and going back to gingerbread waiting for the right costum rom ... have you any idea about that ?? and if you can suggest me a good costum rom ...

Dude aokp by Ravi was WIP, so it had bugs.
Go for cm10.1 latest build its the smoothest and fastest rom till now, like official cm7
use crossbreeder script and int2ext4+ and just relax

Big problem with Galaxy S SCL i9003. Phone won't exit from Recovery with ROOT. HELP!!

Hi, I have a big problem with my Galaxy S SCL i9003.
From last week everything was working good, but something happened.
The camera stop working. Hours and hours searching and I find the solution but I need root.
Ok, I make root and surprise, the phone doesn't want to exit from CWM Recovery.
I tried installing ROMs, and the f*cking recovery won't let me do it. I tried with a ROM from a Spanish forum, it was installed all correctly and then another time, the damned recovery.
I tried to install a lot of ROMs, a lot of things from XDA-Developers, now even won't let me to install any ROM.
I do with Odin several times reflashing with original FW and it works by the way... But I need to be root to make my camera work, because I need to replace some system files :crying: :crying: :crying:
Please, what can I do ?!? If I root with Odin everytime my phone won't exit from recovery and the damn recovery even let me install a rom, so I need another time to flash to original FW and well... I can use the phone but I can't use the camera :crying: :crying:
¿What can I do? I tried with 3 different recoveries, all of them are quite old (the newest is from 2012) and I want to know if exists an newer version for my phone. I need to root it, but if I try everytime with Odin and do all good, everytime my phone bricks in Recovery. Whatever I do it's the same... it doesn't exit from recovery mode until I flash to stock FW.

If you flash stock rom and the camera still dont work i think is hardware problem related. Fresh installation of Stock rom should fix All software related problems.

Hi friend thx for the reply, the thing is that im on stock rom and all goes good, but the problem is I want to root it to solve the camera problem.
I searched on the web and several i9003 and i9001 have this issue when they're updating or when they've been updated... I can solve it changing some files on system but I can't have root access :crying:

I think your problem is related to recovery.
You can flash Bam Kernel via Odin. I'm
using it. Download the latest fix version and
flash it in pda. It has CWM & it will root the
device.

[Q] Can't mount sdcard and bricks

Hi guys, I'm fckland and I'm relatively new here since I never write but I always come here when I need something
This time I come here with a doubt. I got the motorola xt1032 and it's awesome, I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted it and installed CWM to flash some ROM's, but they didn't worked and bricked my phone, so I had to install google play edition by fastboot (following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219 ) and now when I hit "install zip from sdcard" it says: e:\ can't mount sdcard
I want to access that option to install the faux kernel to test it but i can't. What can I do to fix it? I have searched and I didn't find nothin specific for the motorola moto G.
While I was writing this, I installed the TWRP and it worked! I had access to the internal memory without any issue!
BUT I HAD AN ISSUE
I installed the faux kernel with the OC to 1.6GHz and it bricked the OS (google play edition) (stuck at bootanimation), I installed the other version, the non OC and it bricked too and I had to do the tutorial once again since i didn't do a backup
And my second question is... Why this moto g doesn't accept most ROM's and kernels? I have tried with ROM: Carbon, AOSP, MOKEE and none worked and Kernels: faux version u and m and none worked, all of them bricked my phone.
If you need details of the version of my phone or something please ask for it and I'll upload it.

Please post details of which recovery you are using to flash ROMs, which kernel you are on and lastly which ROM works fine and which doesn't.
I, personally think you might had been on philz recovery and issue is not only which /sdcard but with /data.
Post the required info and I'll get back to you.

I have installed CM11 minutes ago and it works really nice (with wifi, I didn't try 3G yet) but I have a stock kernell and I would love to install faux or pink kernell, how do I have to do exactly to install one of them? And what can I do if i get bootloop?

It's nice that your problem is resolved. And for the kernel as far as I know faux and pink support only stock ROM, no support for CM11 yet. You can search the thread for any other kernel but I would recommend to stick to default kernel now. Moto G is still under huge development, have patience. Soon we'll have a lot of them.
Regarding bootloops, take care that before installing any Rom you format /system along with wipe cache and data. Mount them again and then flash the rom.If any other help needed then post it.
