Hi, I'm new here, I hope I'm not doing anything wrong already
Here's my question. I've just installed the webtop mod for atrix2, and I've succesfuly got the webtop screen on my tv, but I don't have any way to
control it as I dont have bt keyboard/mouse.
I've seen a video of the Atrix4g running the webtop mod and controling
it with a trackpad on the phone. Have I done anything wrong, or does the
atrix2 webtop mod doesn't have that feauture?

If you updated to 2.3.6 then the webtop mod doesn't work. If u want try nebtop. Or get v5 of the supercharged rom. It has a webtop mod built in and its on 2.3.6

Ya that's what I mean. You'll see webtop on your TV. But the track pad and stuff on your phone won't work on 2.3.6
Same issue here. Anyone know what exactly breaks when doing the mod on 2.3.6?
My "guess" is the files from 2.3.6 need to be manually modified in the same way that 2.3.5 was. Those files must contain a couple other changes and essentially we are replacing them with the 2.3.5 files which are missing something that's in 2.3.6.
Again that's only speculation on my part. Has the originator of the mod tried changing the files in 2.3.6? or maybe someone could compare the modified 2.3.5 files to the stock 2.3.6 files?
I tried the supercharged rom but webtop still has no control via phone

I installed nebtop and it gave me mouse and keyboard controls.
I made the update to 2.3.6 and the webtop mod didn´t work. I had to redo the steps for the webtop mod but my phone there was no trackpad and keyboard so I had to use a keyboard+trackpad bluetooth. The nebtop did work like a charm!

which trackpad/mouse did you use?
I've tried a couple of BT mice with webtop and they work for crap (jump around the screen, etc.) They work fine on the device and in mirror mode.
The touchpad on my webtop suddenly stopped working on my Droid 4 so I'm hoping to use this as a workaround.

I am very new to this forum.
I just got a new atrix 2 at 2.3.6 with factory rom. i performed the root and webtop mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410509). I am getting webtop option with hdmi cable but can't control mouse with phone.
Based on this thread looks like nebtop might work. How do I perform the nebtop mod on top of the webtop mod I already have?

THE DEVICE HAS BEEN MODIFIED SO THAT IT CAN NOW SHOOT BOTH RED(NEW) AND GREEN(OLD) CAMERAS.
I've been unable to make green lense kernel modules work well with new kernel. GB kernel is dicks!
So i performed a fusion of 2.3 firmware onto 2.2 kernel via 2nd-init.
Pros:
Stable kernel
No ultra-bright buttons
Cons:
Somewhat slower than official 2.3
Live Wallpapers don't work
Contents:
2.2 (3.4.2-177) kernel
4.5.134 ramdisk
EGL drivers from Froyo
Camera libraries from Froyo
Sensors library from CM7
libsurfaceflinger/libserver_init from Droid2 GB OTA
libcamera wrapper by me, based on CM7 wrapper by maniac103
BlurCamera ported from Froyo (GB one is not stable)
Installation:
Install official GingerBread via nandroid + fixed sbf
Install 2nd-init recovery 0.6.1 or later
Install zip from recovery

Usb thether seems not working (was it ever working? dunno), 3g-wifi tether works.

I'm really happy this has finally been done. I've sold my Defy few days ago and I regret that I could give the official 2.3 ROM a try. Good work !
works like a charm in my green lens defy. by the way, its the first time im running official 2.3.4, 4.5.1-134. i found it a bit laggy in comparison with nordic froyo and miui. maybe i need some reboots. im runinng shadow´s rooted version by walter (nandroid + fixed sbf).
EDIT: in the OP theres an advice that says live wallpapers dont work, im at wpclock 1.5.3 working as well.

I have a stock gingerbread unrooted and I wanna try this. I've been searching, and it seems that the only way to get the phone rooted is having froyo first and flashing a nandroid. I am really lazy to go back to froyo. Is there any way to root GingerBlur?

How many times does it needs to repeated there is no such thing as gingerbread kernel. Kernel is one thing android version is another! Gingerbread can work with 29 32 35 kernels. Moto uses 32 to GB and froyo too.
hey guys, I am currently on CM7, and the settings does not include a HDMI section. I read somewhere that RealHDMI would work (the app designed for droidx). If so, will the HDMI output include sound? also, what are other alternatives? thank you!

The only can I do is re-install another image for my XT720 with Froyo Based...
I suggest Bravo 1.9... with an skin...
None of CM7 based rom works with HDMI at least now... and have very problems with camera with recording HD videos...

r u saying if i m on a 2.3 rom without hdmi and i can install image file fr a rom with hdmi and then the 2.3 rom will have hdmi?

Anybody else having issues with Bluetooth? I can only get it to find a device about 10% of the time and then it won't pair.

Themes work.
GPS is a no go....
**EDIT*** Never mind found a fix It will be released with the next major update!
So, how much space in /system is taken up in this rendition of CM? I'm excited to see how much more lighweight than stock this can be.

For those of you that have flashed this, I'm a little intimidated by the fact that there is a boot.img in the zip. Will installing this overwrite the bootloader?
Just to let everyone know that most everything is now working, GPS, Home button, BT is fixed, several more APNs added, DATA works.
What is still broken is wifi and video. You can use apps that use their own decoding, but we will fix that after we have wifi fully working.
We are very close on wifi, rdavisct and I have eliminated 90% of the errors we were seeing in dmesg about wifi startup, but we still have 3 or 4 errors that we need to fix before it will work.

No, not yet. We will need to work on that, to make it work for 2nd system. Also it is ONLY flashable using the Atrix 2 Bootstrap utility, no bootmenu or safestrap, as it will not execute the updater script correctly, and somethings don't get installed correctly with bootmenu or safestrap.

I presume project butter isn't working?

I think it is. There was not a big change between ICS and JB kernel wise. Google Now should work perfectly too. Also. It's CM. So it's worth the trouble.

How to flash :
- Tested on ATT and Asia verison mb865
- U should flash this rom on an ICS rom(I mean, your kernel should be 3.X, and your stock rom should be ics)
- Install safetrap or bootstrap to flash this rom
- Boot menu manager is not supported ATM!!!!
- Wipe/Reboot & enjoy it
If I recollect Jim pulled the ICS leak. SVC7 requires ICS leak as does the CM10.
Searched and haven't found it. Is it hiding anywhere?

And yes project butter is working just fine with CM10. Since we are on a 3.X kernel everything will work just fine.. the difference between ICS and JB will be small, JB will be more like when we went from 2.2 to 2.3... it changed names, but more like a medium upgrade... LOL

I'm using jb on my kindle fire with the 3.0.3 kernel and it smokes ics as far as usability goes.much smoother transitions, apps open faster etc. benchmarks aren't much different but i do find the user experience to be a major improvement. The fire has the same cpu/gpu as our a2 so I expect similar results.

On Sgh i777, tried 3 non TW based ROMS and they doesn't work. But, adding a few cmds to the build.prop file, you will get full video and audio functionality (still can't find a way to mirror the whole UI)

Hi, I have a T-869 On which I am now running ICS stock rom with Root, and I am having problems running a couple of games that I purchased back when I was running Cyanogen 10.
One of the Games is Gameloft's Let's Golf 2. I changed my rom to ICS because CM10 was not really working out for me, and I decided to make the change. Now my game doesn't work, and I tried a couple of methods from these forums to alter my Build.prop file, even switching the stock ICS Prop with the CM10 one, and in either case, my Tablet wouldn't boot.
I compared the info in the parts I'd have to edit in each build.prop file side by side and the info is the same in both.
I just want to be able to play the Games that worked on CM10 with ICS. Can anyone help?

If you change the build.prop on stock ICS it will always cause the tab to not boot.

Modding the Play Store apk or something similar maybe... Though I don't know if anyone has done that.
