Hey guys, i have a motorolla droid 3. xt862. I am running cyanogen mod 7 and it is rooted. i flashed the Blur_Version.5.6.890.XT862.Verizon.en.US file using stock recovery and now the droid 3 bootstrap is gone and wifi wont work. im stuck with cm7 which doesnt work. I would just like to go back to the way it was when i got it stock rom and everything. I have no interest in custom roms because absolutely nothing works and it is all very buggy. Please i need help urgently! i hope im not stuck
is there anyway to go back to gingerbread 2.3.4? i can't seem to get rid of cyanogen mod 7 because i have no bootstrap and i can't install it again.
It sounds like you did an RUU? ? ?
That should have gotten you back to stock. Basically you need to get a working RUU version, of the latest OTA and run that. Or get a rooted stock rom.

Based on what a friend is saying this seem to be the solution. Please reply and tell us if this solution help you @watermummy7.
Yes I've got it working again. I used an sbf file and installed it. Re-rooted and now im good. I just can't see myself ever using a custom rom again. There's not 1 out there that's not buggy.. what are some good hacks/mods for the droid 3? I've heard of ubuntu for android from there website but its still in development

Hi, first of all thanks in advance to anyone who will try and solve my problem.
I unlocked my xoom using thi tread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=967065
and rooted it using this tread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078019
after that I successfully opened and checked my phone. It was rooted with super user and everything.
I tried to enable the market for everthing so I used this tread for enabling market with replacing build.prop method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065698
As soon as I restarted the xoom couldnt get past the video introduction.
Now, I have tried getting into recovery and doing factory reset and everything but I cannot seem to get past the video..
I am genuinely scared if I bricked the tablet...
Any help will be very much appreciated.
Thank You in advance...

Hi Cozzeck,Can you possibly post a link for a guide to flashing back to stock? I don't want to mess it up further by doing something wrong.
And also, do you advice to try and root it again after fixing it?
Thank you, in advance...
I sent you a pm

Like you read up, you need to back to stock and do the procedure to root again.
Look for the stock image on the android development section, install it by clockwork recovery, and after get on stock do the procedure for root again.
If you have question u can PM me.
See ya!

Hello, I´m trying to find a ROM to flash in my SGS 4G. Can anyone tell me if I can use the ROM's developed for the Galaxy S and flash it nice and clean in SGS 4G.
By the way, I'm using the stock Froyo and I live outside the US, since I've rooted and unlocked it I've not been able to use my local 2G/3G connection. Does anyone know any solution for that?
Thanks

Your going to want to do some research, if you upgrade via fxz I believe you have no safe way to get back to GB....
However...
If you upgrade to leak 1 via jimbridgmans method there is a safe way to get back....
After deciding which method to use, install atrix bootstrap and pick your ROM... I say bootstrap cause its the most supported...
Good luck and enjoy....

If your phone is not from AT&T, and you install the upgrade that Pzyduck upload, you won't be able to downgrade to GB.
It's been successfully rooted with POOT.
It has also been rooted via CWM by Area51 Here for CWM and then Here for Root! I did find some ROM development going on at Area51 as well here. Area51's CWM does not appear to play nice with any phone rooted with Poot however so it's best to install CWM from Area51 first and then use their root method.

The root method used at A51 is out-of-date, and can't be updated. Therefore, you'll continuously receive an update notification and won't be able to stop it.

Not True! All you have to do is just not install the update when it boots you into CWM. This will be fixed when they complete the ROM they're working on. I don't get update reminders after accepting the first one and just not installing it once in recovery mode at the install screen!

You might want to wait for Area51 to complete their first ROM for the phone. Currently it has an annoying update that keeps trying to install over the rooted stock OS that will break root if you install it. Of course you can just keep clicking on accept and then selecting NO when you get to the install update screen in CWM like I do, but it's an annoyance.

Galaxy Centura 4.X
Is there any roms for the Samsung Galaxy Centura on StraightTalk that is Android version 4.1, 4.2 or above?
Not yet. Something that Samsung broke in the kernel is preventing the ROMs from booting up.

Cool just rooted one of these and uh, any recommendations on a root required app to use the phone as a wifi hotspot free of charge?
I just installed cwm with Odin and I did a backup. I downloaded all the files for root and place it in clockwork backup folder. When I go to cwm and restore backup folder I get a md5 mismatch error. Is their anyway to fix that?

Did you rename the backup? If it has spaces, it will cause that error.

Does anyone know what has become of Androidarea51 ??
I've been trying to access that site for some time and it always fails to load.
It has been mentioned in this thread as a source for rooting this model of phone and I've just been given one & would like to root it...
Thanks.
Did anyone get the ROM to boot up? I've been trying but all I get is a black screen

HELP!!
Looking at your Rom seems very promising. I would very much like to try it out however I keep running into multiple problems.
I almost bricked my phone so I had to flash a whole new stock 4.4.2 Rom on my Razr HD. I have bootloader unlocked and my problem with this rom seems to occur when I use my recovery. I used TWRP and CWM and both havent worked well when trying to flash this ROM. sometimes it says it installed no problem, but when I reboot it loads into a bootloop and then i have to constatly flash a new recovery all over again. I also flashed the xt925 .img and still nothing any ideas?

Droid Nexesque v3.6 XT925/XT926 ROM problem
Hello everyone!
I`ve flashed this rom on my XT926, and it works nicely, but I have a problem. The Wi-Fi doesn`t work at all. It says the connection is poor, yet I`m standing next to the wireless router. I`ve tried v3.5 and v3.6 with the same result. How can I fix this issue? I use Wi-Fi all the time, because my data plan sucks.
Thanks

I don`t know because I didn`t put in on the phone, I`ve bought the phone already flashed.
It was that light blue face, with blue arrow going around it, on a black background.

That is cm11. You need to read the first post and read what it says about coming from an android version after 4.1.2, flash what it tells you to flash, then reflash this rom

That was the first thing I did. I`ve flashed that smaller file first, and than the ROM.
Now I`ve tried it again, wiped everything, flashed the 5 MB or so file, than the ROM, but no luck. What else can I do? I really need this phone to work.

Sorry for the late reply. I hope you were able to get it installed or flashed another Rom.
No one else is having that issue. Could of been a bad download. Please re download the Rom and supporting file and try again.
Please note that you have to mount the system within your recovery before flashing the files.
