here there are 2 apps which needs rooted android, actually i was using android 2.3.5 beta release i tried to use the tether option.
when i swiched tht on it automatical go off...then i came across these to apps..
i tried theym they wrked perfectly so i thought of sharing tht....
i think it shuld wrk in other phones which are rooted pls tell me test tht fr me..
if any prob then tell me
its ma frst post on xda
if u like my wrk or wrked fr u then pls give thanx.

Um.. full words next time. K Thanks. And there is no, "fix" native tethering works fine if you just delete tethering manager.
the thing is in the beta release of infuse 4g the wirless tether in phone was nt working so
by installing these 2 apps u can make them wrk thts it..

m uploading 2 apk's timescape apps i have gt these frm my friends neo v which is rooted so i backup these 2 files and tried on my infuse bt the didn't wrk can an dev out there pls make these apps wrk on the infuse
one is the widget and second one is the main app pls help..

Suggest that you email the developer. Timescape is free in the market and it states that it's not compatible with our device.
I have heard of people just changing the build.prop on their phone to truck apps like this. Change it to a usable phone, load the app once, then change back.

i am using official 2.3.6 gingerbread on my fit and want to try other roms which enable me to run hd videos "smoothly" n it should hav a better battery backup , good music quality ( feel it through headphone)......n ofcourse better gaming expireance....... plz hlp me .......n i hv not rooted my phon till so my first priority is official ones nd if official ones r nt there then suggest some custom ones also ....!!!!!!! urgent hlp plzzz!!!

this is my personal opinion... i not judging any other roms...
in my view fitdroid 3.5 is best.. i have been testing it from 2 months and it is running very smooth, has better battery back up and a good ui.. for watching videos download mx video player its the best app so far... and for good sound quality there is a multimedia enhancers in themes section download it and flash it... first of all flash the cwm via odin.. after that download the rom put it in your sd card.. on the phone by pressing home+switch on button.. it will enter into recovery mode... wipe data reset, wipe cache then install zip from sd card select the file.. its done

I want all these things in one rom n u hav suggested mx player.....i hav mx player but when i try to play hd videos it does'nt play it smoothly so i want an hardware accelration in the rom for playing hd videos..........n hv u tried playing hd videos in fitdroid that u hav suggested ......how was ur expireance want to know abt it????

Okay buddy, there is no thing as "best", all custom roms have their own bugs and advantage points, and it all boils down to personal opinion and experience...
That ^ said, our fit's hardware isn't so great that you can smoothly run hd videos...for that, you will need a higher end phone...
Or, alternatively, you can convert the files to .mp4 format, and then run them...

our fit is a g8 device. it plays hd videos in mx player but does'nt play smoothly bec. of hardware limitation but if we install a rom which provides enough hardware acceleration so that it enables us to run hd videos , then we hav made it . i hav read abt such roms for fit but does'nt know their name so i was asking for such rom ..............cn u suggest the rom u like the most!!!???
If you think fit is a great device, then you haven't experienced the top end phones yet (hope I don't start a war on this )...
That being said, there is always a limit till where we can tweak the software...afterall the software is directly affected by the hardware, which none of us can (or want to ) personally mess with...
With regards to my opinion, my personal favorite isn't here on this forum, and it would be rude to compare "x rom is better than y rom"...all roms are great in their own way...
Since you are new here, you can try any of the roms available in the dev section, and believe me, you'll be surprised...

a.cid uses cm7 always

if u want play hd videos just convert them in to 3gp using our kies..
just drop the video in videos folder in the kies.. right click on it, select convert files then go to user settings..
select file type as 3gp
select resolution as 320*240
select frame rate as 25
select bit rate as 409600..
i assure u it will save a lot of place of your sd and the quality of the video is soo good just try it .. u wont regret it...
and for the rom.. u just try it.. just download the fitdroid 3.5,boot.zip and stock kernel with out memory patch coz using this will increase your battery performance...
and im attaching the screens just for your reference..

musicmod v4 is definately the best one for music till now...
umm..for gaming its hard to tell coz some games work better in some roms but not smooth on others...
so better try all roms yourself and decide...

Vikesh bro : I done switch off n on several times it doesn't effect .
ROM :512mb
Explorer :internet explorer and google search engine
All play store apps and play store working but not opening any link(wheather it is direct link or link comes in any app)
It working fine when i switch to mobile network mode.

NO.. my phone is not rooted . Yaa.. installed a various app and also uninstall apps ( mostly new apps i have installed)

Ok... I think it is because of the newly installed apps... Try to uninstall the new apps and reboot.. If still it doesnt work and as u havent rooted anytime u can go to samsung service center...

Mention the following stuff
1. Firmware ver : gingerbread or ics
If gb/ics den is it with custom rom like neo rom 3 on gb or bb/mazel with ics
2. Which ver of gb/ics
U can check it thru settings->about
3. Kernel version
Chk thru settings about
4. Which browser r u using to access internet ?
5. R u able to access it thru mobile net ?? (if u have one )
Nw try these handy solutions
1. Reboot n check...
2. Forget ur wifi n reconnect
3. Factory reset ur fone
4. Flash ur countrys rom again...gb/ics
I m assuming that ur able to access ur wifi thru ur pc/laptop or on other device

Hopefully, the Followin post might be simple and silly..
And this is wat i worked and done as a guess and it worked in "very few" of the custom roms of CM9/10 and baked pico V2 even..
The most common problem that the users of our Pico see is that, there's no accessing of mobile data, eventhough they r able to see it to be enabled in the settings & network option..
The reason is as follows..
As soon as u open the network settings,u see the mobile data is enabled..
But, the problem is that, wen u goto the accesspoints section..
There'll not be any access points that are saved before by u or automaticaly by the network provider...!!
So what i did was,"i set up the exact apn settings for the mobile data to be worked for my network provider.."
then.. save the apn after editin the required settings for ur provider..
then, make that apn as default..
select "Mobile data enabled"...
check whether the data "2G/3G/H" appearin on the status bar..
if not, "select airplane mode on"
again "select airplane mode off"..
now, hopefully, ur mobile data would be on..!! :victory:
This is wat i did and it worked fine and well for me..!!
