Dock battery level status in ICS - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed on the Prime they have a battery icon for the dock as well as the tab in the status bar and in the notification menu, and since the Transformer has ICS and the new notification menu, should we have the dock battery? or do we need a dock firmware upgrade? or are the new Prime docks have something ours don't?

Does anyone have a dock battery level?

The ics for the transformer prime shows it. But not ours. Was just doing a side by side comparison with a friend's prime.

I'd rather have it in the status bar where it should be.. I think our docks may get a firmware update

The beta version of dual battery widget puts a second icon for the dock battery in the status bar. And it seems to be working OK after today's ICS update.

And you don't even have to have the widget on your desktop. I've gotten rid to it there, since it is redundant.

ICS Notification Panel

So recently when updating to ICS the Notification Panel is a bright bright blue and all the icons are blurry. I have tried 3 different ICS roms so far and they are all like that. Here is a screenshot of it. I'm not sure if it is meant to look like that or not, but it looks seriously out of place in my opinion...anyway if anyone could give some insight into this would be grateful
Edit: All Fixed nevermind
That is the Asus modded notification panel, you can turn it off and get the ICS defaulted in the Asus custom settings menu. As for the slight blur, mine looks the same as yours so I think it's normal.

Apex launcher dock

Can somebody please tell if its possible to have a dock on Apex? I purchased this app thinkingit had that feature, but now it appearsthat I was wrong. Stock Asus Transformer running ics. Sorry for the dumb question.

The play store says the free version can do up to 35 icons in the dock. I've seen screen images that show the Dock settings option after the Drawer settings option. But on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (just released last week), Dock settings does not show.
I'm guessing it has something to do with my tablet being so new....or for some reason, tablets are not worthy of this feature? (I mean, phones only?).

i've run Go launcher on HC and ICS both work wonder full. and i pair it up with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tamanegi.wallpaper.multipicture&hl=en to have a single page wallpaper.

Battery widget

Hey all... Brand new TF700 owner here -upgraded from a TF101. Loving it so far.
I sprung for the keyboard dock for the new tablet, and I seem to remember a screenshot somewhere a while back that showed someone with a dock that had a battery widget that had two different battery levels - one for the dock and one for the tablet. It looked like "circle battery" widget, but I tried that one and couldn't seem to find any setting to show the level for a secondary (dock) battery.
Anyone know of a decent battery widget that will show both levels?
Thanks in advance
Doesn't the stock battery widget do what you want?

The stock ASUS Battery widget does the job well... if you are on stock launcher. When connected to the dock a second battery meter will appear below the usual one.
An alternative I've used since my days with the Prime is a modded ASUS battery widget, presented on XDA forums itself:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1515959
Looks great on all launchers I've tried (stock, apex, nova, adw) and works great on Infinity too.
I like "dual battery widget" the best, the icon is only 1x1
it's on the market

ADW Launcher EX on Infinity

Anyone else enjoying the new update? So far, flows so much better than apex and nova. Transitions are smoother more numerous and prettier than ever. So many more options to choose from, I had to share.

I was playing with the new ADW Launcher EX last night. It is very nice. However, I uninstalled and went back to stock. Because I don't like a pop-up menu appearing when I hold on a widget. I like the JB resize handles appearing. The extra step just turned me off.
I liked 3rd party launchers in the Pre-ICS days. But since ICS forward, not so much.
Absolutely love the new version of ADW EX - they did an excellent job with it. I really like the custom fonts for desktop icons too - looks so much better than the stock font for desktop icons.
Also love the dock reflections - adds a nice touch.
Really don't have anything bad to say about ADW EX - lots of options, great performance and doesn't seem to be a RAM hog either...
Highly recommended.

One issue that I am running into is that I am a not able to reassign the function of the home icon. I usually use the home button to open and close the dock bar. So far I have not been able to do this?

How did you re-assign that key with other launchers?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk 2
I had a hubs layout with instant transitions (that is, no transition), and was a big fan. Setting the transition speed to 0 accomplishes that in the old adw ex, but not in the new one. I rolled back to the old thanks to titanium. Not sure if it's a bug, an oversight or intentional.
Not saying it's bad, just doesn't suit my preferences.
Maybe I should try this too. I used stock for a long time until tried Nova. Omg what a difference with speed! Nova is so much faster than stock.
But if ADW faster than Nova I think I could be 95% satisfied with the speed of this tablet. (browser still has many problems)
I had bought ADW maybe 2 years ago and then it had problem not having updates so I changed to others. Might give it a try now. Thanks for headsup!
Try ADWLquncher ex the november update gave it a new life : before it was far slower than apex (my previous launcher) and now it's far faster and smoother

[Q] Dock Battery Mod

I have changed the battery icon for the tablet (see attached) and was trying to change the keyboard/dock to the same icon. I know it has something to do with the Transformer.apk, but don't know how to change it. I have pulled the apk to mod it, but I am at a dead end. Does anyone know how I would change the dock battery?

I posted how to do this in the development section, page 2 near the bottom. I also sent you a pm per your request.
It is easy if you look at the files I posted and see the changes.

What I am trying to do is a little different than what you posted about. I tried following what you wrote up on. I am just not getting it. I can't get the dock battery icons to change. I am just missing something.

Did you change the framework-res.apk file? Dock icons are there.

Yes I did. I put the icons that I want in there, but it still shows the stock ones. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.

Send me your framework-res.apk and I will look at what you have done.
Thanks for helping me out. Basically I am going for a dark red theme and have changed the color of the stock Asus battery.

The reason the 1% dock battery icons are not showing up is that you named them incorrectly.
It is important you download the .zip file I posted in my 1% battery post. The entire file structure is layed out including the name of the 1% battery icons and where they go. This also includes the names of the .xml battery scripts and where they go. One of the scripts is about 9kb and the other about 40kb. The dock battery icons have there own script/icons which is not the same name as the SystemUI script/battery icons.

I am not trying to get the 1% battery icons. I am simply trying to use the icons that I changed the color of. That is why I don't understand why it isn't working. I changed the color of the stock Asus battery icon and replaced it in the same folder.

The battery icons for the dock are in framework-res.apk: asus_ep_kb_battery_*.png, etc.
I have changed them to the colors I want, but the changes don't seem to work. Anywhere I saw the Asus keyboard battery icons I replaced them to be on the safe side, but nothing seems to work. I am at a loss.
