This is my second flash and its all gone wrong! I'm posting here because I can't post in the ARHD thread...
I was running ARHD 6.2.1 with no problems- its all gone bad when I tried to upgrade to 6.3.0
I downloaded the firmware package for 3.30 and checked MD5, downloaded ARHD 6.3.0 and checked MD5 and downloaded Superwipe.
I put all these files on a fresh SDcard and flashed the PG58IMG successfully, I then removed the card and deleted the firmware file.
I flashed the Superwipe and then the ARHD 6.3.0 and now I'm stuck in a boot loop. It gets as far as quietly Brilliant and reboots every time!
I try to restore my backup of ARHD 6.2.1 and although it checksums OK in 4EXT it gives an error when restoring data and does not restore...
Whats happened? HELP!!
G.

You need to wipe data before you flash. Hope this helped!
Goodluck~
Frmware 3.24 and 3.30 isn't working on my phone either. I installed firmware 3.12 again and flash a rom, then I was able to boot the phone.
I'm able to boot arhd, insertcoin, cm9 with thr 3.12 firmware, but HyperNonSense isn't booting here. So you could try firmware 3.12 with your rom
I'm still looking for a solution and as soon as I find, I will post it on xda !
Hi,
I got the same problem, bootlooped 3.24 / 3.30 fw
I installed the 3.12 but the bootloader is locked
it doesn't let me flash radio, I can't do anything with the phone now, can anyone post a link for an unlocked 3.12 firmware or tell me if I'm doing anything wrong?
Thanks

Try this:
Take out your sd card, put in in your computer, delete the PG58IMG and put the SD back in the phone. Boot the bootloader, reboot into recovery, then install the rom of your choice.
Might not work, but it's worked before.

Your pg58img firmware didn't flash properly. In other words all your partition didn't get flash. That's why the Rom won't boot.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Firmware not flashing because you did not Super CID your phone. Search in the this forum on the instructions. After doing this, reflash the firmware and then the ROM again
Yup had the exact same problem. Delete the pg58img off sd card from computer. Restore nandroid backup. Follow the install supercid instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 (step 4) reflash flash firmware from hboot, flash rom, rejoice!
Hello again
Thanks for the replies guys. I took out my micro sd card and i erased the .zip file. I loaded a new rom and now its working just fine. My question is do i have to do the CID thingy? ?
Also, what exactly was my problem?
The firmware was trying to flash automatically(because it found the PG58IMG), but your phone did not allow it (no SuperCID).
Deleting the file put it out of the loop. I would do the supercid and upgrade the firmware to move to an ICS rom. Happy flashing!
So
So if i do the CID i will be able to install any ICS rom?

Yes... SuperCID then flash the PG58 and you're good to go...
And remember, if you have a PG58IMG file on your sd card, you won't be able to use the bootloader at all without first removing the file.
Hello everybody,
I've a problem since yesterday, my HTC Sensation XE doesn't boot anymore.
I wanted to download the newest Insertcoin ROM (I'm S-OFF, rooted and wroten superCID). In the topic of the Insertcoin ROM indicated that I need firmware 3.24. So I downloaded that firmware, installed it on my phone (power+volume down) and then... broken phone. When I turned my phone on, it showed the green HTC logo and the beats logo and it started over again. I've tried very much (install very much other firmwares, restore to my last backup, factory reset) but nothing helps!
This is the topic of the insertcoin mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468683
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks!
Nicola
Try this:
1. Check MD5 sum of 3.24 firmware and if OK, re-flash.
2. Remove PG58IMG.zip from your SD card and boot into recovery (VOL- / POWER).
3. Run the superwipe script.
4. Check MD5 sum of your ROM and if OK, re-flash.
5. Don't install any other mods, just reboot and let the ROM startup - may take 5-10mins for the first boot.
I got it working!
I downloaded the leaked android 4.0.1 ruu. I installed it, then I used the backup!
Thank you for your help!

It looks like you didn't let the firmware update complete, you don't have the correct radio from the firmware.
try to use Kohr-Ah's Firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300)
Downgrade your FW by selecting correct CID/FW and re-flash it by 3.24 again by your own CID/FW
Can't write everything down because I put like 14 hours straight into my new best friend.
I tried to flash RDHD to my phone, which I just bought 3 days ago, first did the guide to S-off, unlock, cwm, root and superCID (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300)
Then tried to install last RDHD gingerbread version(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849)
This first installed EXT4 recovery for me at which point I flashed it again.
Tried a few other ROMs, only like 4 of them.
Oh yeah I searched everywhere even on other websites besides XDA!! Nothing solved it, nothing.
Tried to change firmware
Now I am at a point where I can't seem to understand what the f*ck is going on. I tried this GUIDE (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1472298)
And still the phone won't get past boot screen.
I tried all kinds of things from saterday all trough sunday evening and today (my wife is getting mad, she won't give it up anymore unless i quit)

Try superwipe, reformat SD, download from & firmware (fw 3.24/3.25 for ARHD 6.2.1, fw 3.32 for ARHD 6.5.1) and flash it again:
- put firmware PG58IMG.zip, Superwipe Script and ROM zip on SD root
- check md5 hash
- check md5 hash again
- boot into recovery
- flash Superwipe script
- flash ROM
- reboot into bootloader
- flash PG58IMG.zip (this will reboot automatically once during the process)
- reboot

Hi guys,

I also changed the cid to 11111111. I always checked the MD5 checksum.
I found several threads about this problem on the internet but anything that helps other people doesn't work with my phone.
Please help me!
thanks in advance!
Did you super wipe your phone before you installed the new rom? And did you do a backup?
yes I always super wipe it. I did a backup via Titanium backup but not in the recovery.
I also tested the not-xe version and the screen freezes too.
So you can't go into your phone only in recovery and bootloader and you didn't back it up with rom manager?
yes, thats exactly where I stand.
Any ideas what to do?
EDIT: Sorry never mind my comment... Didn't read your comment carefully....

I thought that I did this already
I've downloaded "Firmware from 3.32.401.x & 3.32.401.10x RUU" and flashed it.
Have you deleted the firmware pmg58img file from the SD card?
What version firmware did you flash?
Sent from my Pyramid-T
Yes I deleted the PG58IMG.zip file after flashing it.
I've downloaded 3.32.401.x & 3.32.401.10x RUU from this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412618
I came across this thread and it says:
Perhaps you can try this and see if it works for you?
******* Note: Very few users reported that even after flashing v3.24 firmware , they got bootloop. But when they flashed v3.12 firmware, they were fine. So if you fall into the category of those very few users , then try to flash v3.12 firmware. Some users pointed out that the HBOOT 1.27 was the actual reason to cause the bootloop. So another solution is to replace the HBOOT 1.27 with the older HBOOT from V3.12 firmware package. Recently released firmware V3.32 and V3.30 have the same hboot as in V3.24. So who ever got bootloop with V3.24 , they will be still in bootloop with V3.30 and V3.32. The advice is same . Just stick to V3.12 firmware or replace the HBOOT of V3.30/V3.32 with the HBOOT found in V3.12 till HTC release a newer HBOOT resolving this issue. Few users got ARHD 6.3.X working with V3.12 firmware too. So you can also have a try.Remember v3.12 firmware is compatible for both Gingerbread and IceCream Sandwich. But the GB ROM must be sense 3.5 based else again you will get bootloop. *******
V3.12 Firmware can also be downloaded from the same thread.
THANK YOU!!!
After downloading and flashing 3.12 everything works just fine

Do you have a ics Rom flashed to match the ics firmware? If you still have gb this will put you into bootloop . Flash the ics firmware which is 3.32 or 3.33 then flash the ics Rom. You must remove the pg58img file after you flash Also or it will continue to try to upgrade the file over and over . I hope this helps you.

I'll try flashing 3.33 or 3.32 then flashing the ROM, thanks.
Right now it's stuck at the boot "htc" logo, It's been like this for about 4 mins, is this normal on updating the firmware?
EDIT: It has been about 15 mins now and I recided to go into hboot and the message thing at the top was changed. Now it reads:

eMMC-boot
and at the end after the "sd checking", it says "Battery voltage is too low! Please change a battery..."
Not sure if has anything to do with my problem, but its worth putting out there.
No this is not normal. Charge your device, update firmware 3.32 or 3.33, now you WILL have a bootloopv if your on a gb Rom, so update to a ics Rom. This should solve the bootloop. When updating with a pg58img file you place it on the root of your sd card, pull battery put battery back in then press power and volume at the same time then press power to accept update it will automatically update .remove the pg58img file at this point or it will continue to try to update. I really hope this helps. Sometimes it takes up to 5 or so minutes for the first boot of a Rom but after that I would say it's too long if you're still waiting. Have you done all these steps? With the correct firmware?are you wiping before your flash? It should work smoothly with these steps? Once your charged go over steps again make sure your not missing a step. Hope this helps

keep in mind one thing... you must use matching firmware/rom.. i mean for example
- Firmware 3.33 Universal / (ICS)
- Firmware 1.17 Universal / (GB)
so if you're on ICS you must be on 3.33 fw, that should do the trick
