After cleaning some cache,I lost the pictures of my contacts but only for the messages.Now when I get a phone call I see person's picture but when I try to read the message,no picture.Can I fix this?I am rooted but still on stock rom,2.3.3.
So you get the images to show when you get a call from a person, but not from SMS texts? Sounds weird. Try using a 3rd party app for SMS, like CrunchSMS, Handscent, GO SMS Pro, see if that helps.

Just checking...you made sure that that function is checked in the options of whatever app you're using for SMS, right? I know for the 3rd party ones like chomp and Handcent, you can turn it on and off.
With the stock app there is no such opt.I will try 3rd party app and let you know.

I flashed ARHD for GB but I can not retrive,find,my contacts on my new rom.I tryed sync with google mail and titanium back up but no luck.I guess I do something wrong.When I back up to my previous rom the contacts are there but no contacs after flashing.Any help?

Does anybody know why when I sync my contacts with facebook on a non sense rom my contacts do not get their pictures. But when I sync with a sense rom they get the whole 9?
I know when I had that problem I had to edit every contact ,click menu, and then link... Also, did you sync all in Facebook?

I did sync only existing contacts, I'm going to change it to all.

im running a non-sense rom and the pics sync.
Im running CM7 to be specific
My contact app disappear sometimes and it changes to people app on the app list. Wtf is that about anyone else notice that.

Mine was the People app when new out of the box & then changed to Contacts after I synced contacts. It's never gone back to saying People though.

I've read that's because there is a mismatch between times between providers or transmitters. Someone resolved this by setting the time manually (ahead). I haven't verified this myself but I'm experiencing this since my HTC Hero.
How its your phone's clock configured? Try to put out into auto mode and see if that solves it. Many people find that rifling that syncs it properly and stops the problem.
I had this problem a few times. I'm not sure this but... You can make a backup using 'sms backup & restore' from Market, then using notepad edit file with backup and set correct time.
Hey guys. I'm having an issue. I've had the same problem with the vibrant in the past but it is happening to my sensation on custom roms. After about a month or so Gmail stops sending emails. I can compose and when I hit send it responds like I pressed it deactivates but doesn't send and doesn't say message sent like normal. I can still save it as a draft but it won't send. Like I said it works beautifully for X amount of time then suddenly does this. I have to reflash the rom to get it to work I've tried clearing the Gmail data and reinstalling it without luck there. Anyone else encounter this and know what is going on?

I have had this from time to time even on my old Desire.
I found that clearing the data for Gmail did the trick though.

I have been using the Energy ROM for my Sensation lately and the one thing I am missing is the text message count which displayed how many individual text messages have been sent between my friends, family, and I. Is there any setting to turn this back on?
