Experiences with wear and tear through gaming? - Android Apps and Games

So the gpu in my old laptop got fried after way too much skyrim and it got me wondering if the same would happen to my sgs1 and how long it would take. I don't play on it for more than a few minutes per week so I guess itll be a while at least.

As long your phone doesn't overheat you should not worry about it.

[Q] homescreen shows for a quick second when waking device

Has anyone else run into this issue? Once in a while when I wake my phone, my homescreen appears for like half a second and then it will go to the lockscreen. It doesn't do this all the time but certainly more than half. It also happens using either stock or adw ex launcher. Can't think of why it would be doing this. Anyone got a fix or a reason as to why its even doing this?

I've noticed that on mine as well.

It happens on my device as well. Few people on other threads have complained as well.
Looks like a software issue.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
Yup same. Slightly annoying. I think they will need to push out a software update soon to remedy some, if not all of the issues brought up by us early adopters. =)
My phone randomly exits apps when using them.

Yeah its not a big issue... but it trips me out once in a while -_- glad its not because I got a lemon device or something

yeah it does it here too but not quite sure why it bothers anyone it goes to lock screen faster than i can react after waking anyways. probably just a quicker freeze oif state when it goes to sleep than it should and doesnt have time to cahnge it over.
Its happen to mine as well. Funny thing is that I got my gf the sidekick 4g and it does the same thing

Must only be affecting phones released this week lol

Same, no biggie though
Lol this is a issue? No wonder the forum looks like a hate on the phone session ....
Happened on mine a couple times. Hasn't done it since the first couple hours I used it.
I have no problem like that. My wife doesn't.
The phones take a couple days to settle.

My Vibrant running stock Froyo does exactly the same thing. Flashes the home screen for about 1 second then goes to the lock screen. Odd but not really a problem.
My phone does this as well.
Mine does the same but not every time which I think is even weirder. Its not a big deal at all though just surprising.

My phone and my wifes were getting hot while not even in use. So we called tmo and they replaced them no problem.
The phones were getting very hot in our pockets. For no reason. With that and the data issues I had to replace it.
Tmo was great. No problems getting a new unit. You may want to try.

if ur not rooted u cant underclock. if u are and u have setcpu pick the tegra profile and set your g2x up
I'm in my second G2X and my first ran a bit hot but this one doesn't get hot at all. It seems that from the different posts I've read that either you get gold or you get crap when it comes to this model.
Since I rooted and froze all the TMO junk my phone runs much better than before. The biggest difference is that since rooting and freezing my hourly percentage drain is now only about 2% with data and wiring turned off.

Me! Had mine since launch
Still on first. Maybe I became too critical when I saw news that the G2x had problems I just became overcritical of the device. Problems did start when I rooted the device
Stable on CM7 only thing is the phone freezes while charging overnight. And email syncs still hang after 8 hours.
I will swap when LG releases the fix. No point in doing it now. Never getting an LG again. Will wait for the next quad core phone. **** LG
But... this is a fast and awesome phone, bugs and all.
I'm on my first G2x, and I see no reason to exchange mine.

Lg lucid. Which batteries fit?

So my friend has a lg lucid and he's only getting 3 hours of battery life. He's had the phone for probably less than a month so is there a bigger battery that will fit it?

Not sure about that phone. But that isn't normal for any phone in regular use. I could see 3 hours if he is playing games constantly and watching videos on you tube like crazy maybe. But if he got it new and uses it normally he might want to take it back and have them check that.

It doesn't matter does it tbh, just replace the battery when it goes to ****, however it should only lose like 20% on average after a year.
