I'm coming from the ATT Skyrocket forum, and several users, including others from other forums, are experiencing an issue with the phone "bricking" and giving us a "qhsusb_dload" screen when we turn them on. We can't do anything else, but the phone is STILL visible to Qualcomm programs like QPST. If at all possible, we're trying to find someone that has access to help us get the files we need to flash to our phones to hopefully get them back up and running from this download mode.
If you could help, it would be INCREDIBLY appreciated. You'd help get rid of a brick that's been causing us several halts in development!
Thanks in advanced!

Hi, I am new to this forum and need some help. I recently purchased an HTC fuze from At&t and need some help getting the right ROM to get everything running well. I have read there are some out there that will enable free gps, fix the sensitivity settings and also get rid of all the junk that At&t loads it with (would like to keep opera, however, and I will need a good music player that can recognize the micro sd all the time). Kind of looking for the "best" setup before I load all my contacts and stuff. I tried searching this site for info, but there are so many threads on the issue I can't figure out what solution is best for me. I am not terrible with computers, but nor am I up to snuff with the people on this site, so any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ahead of time for helping a noob!

Hi,
We all had to learn it
General info here
ROMs etc... here
Dirk
Not massively useful advice but the best i can suggest is to download several variations on the ROMs and try each one for a week or so to see if it "pushes your buttons". Took me eight ROMs over 6 months to find my current one and even then i don't gaurantee it will survive.
If you search on here for PIMBackup it will make the restoring of contacts and all messages a lot less painful.
Sorry fixed
I will be the first to tell you I am not tech savvy at all! I have been doing some research with regards to this and have used many resources avail, including this site.
I have read most of the answers to my questions but still require assistance. I have the HTC Desire with with my local internet provider Cox Communications and I have a 10.2 inch tab through wowpad that is powered by Android supertab. It is operating on 2.1. My HTC is 2.2. I am very new to the smart phone world and tablet world.
Is there a way to just simply upgrade my tab to a new OS? Do most of you feel that rooting my phone is the way to go, because I never ever have storage that I need. I know it comes down to a personal choice. Or, will my phone eventually upgrade to a new OS?
I really want to do my tablet but honestly I literally need step by step directions in doing so. If I mess this up on my own, my wife and daughter will kill me. Thanks in advance to all of you. This is truly the best site in the world!
How would rooting your phone solve your storage issue?
More Storage
From what I understand, I will have superuser rights and that would allow me to delete some of the stock programs to free up space. Is that right?
Help
Is there anyone out there willing to help with this issue? It would be greatly appreciated.
This Sucks
Ummmm Wow! I thought I would get some help with this, but I guess not. I guess I'll try another site.
Take it easy, look up your device in the forums and look for how to root.
It's not that hard to do and most devices have a manual how to.
Take a look at this:

Thank you
Thank you krt. That is exactly what I needed. Thanks again.
hello I am fairly savvy when it comes to computing & electronics. I have been following XDA DEVELOPERS for a while now & have learnt a great deal.
What I need help with is I have a Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S6102. I was in the middle of a flash when the power was interrupted & since I have not managed to get the phone to run correct. I have edge reception but nothing else.
I have been trying to get this device working for a while now & don't seem to be getting very far. I have read many, many forums by you guys, fandroid, gsm, and many others. I am not someone who gives up on much in a hurry but this has me stumped.
YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE...
I HOPE TOO HEAR FROM YOU SOON ON THIS MATTER.

Hi guys.
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I've recently broken the screen of my Xperia (sucks) so I went into town and purchased about the only cheap decent phone available which just so happened to be network locked to boost/telstra (Australia).
Seems a soft network unlock option is available through third party websites but I figured why not try my hand at rooting the phone and loading a default android ROM onto it (I hope I have that terminology correct).
So the phone type is in the description and I cant seem to find anything that will help me out in rooting it.
Kingo/iRoot both seem to fail and I cant find a forum or really any information on this phone anywhere online.
I'm hoping someone may be able to help me out - ultimately the end goal is to remove the network lock and maybe if possible remove the bloatware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Version >Android 6.0<
PS. I did find this post here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1319257 ~ No idea if this is what I should be doing. Again, any help is appreciated.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Yes that thread should be fine for rooting your device but rooting it will not normally network unlock your device. As far as I am aware the only way to network unlock it is from the carrier
