Hey guys I'm running dsexton's icbinb rom and I keep having this issue trying to play a YouTube video. I try to play a video and it does fine for like 30 seconds, then it just stops. No buffer wheel or anything, it just quits playing, and the progress bar keeps going like it thinks its playing. Idk but it doesn't work right in the browser either, and its a little frustrating when you don't have a PC and all you have is your phone. Thanks in advance!

Clear gremlins and re install.
I have been using this rom without problems at all. I watch netflix, youtube and in browser videos all without the slightest hesitation. I believe that you have not received a response because you are the only person with this issue on ICBINB 2.3.7.

I'm getting an error message when I attempt to play video from various sites (MSNBC, ESPN, for example):
You do not have permission to open this page...
And when I do get to a page and video does play, the audio sounds awful - it's slowed way down, to the point of not being able to understand anything.
Anyone else experience anything like this?
I just tried out ESPN and MSNBC and I got the same "You don't have permission" messege. I don't, however, have any audio issues with the sites that have worked (so far anyways). I went to TBS.com and watched some Family Guy episodes with no issues.
Funny, Family Guy played fine on tbs.com (audio was fine too!) I'll try to get an example of one that doesn't have good audio...

Tried the Green Hornet preview...huge lag before audio started. When it did, it was extremely slow...couldn't understand any of it.

I checked the sony site out, and got a little flash icon (9), so I assume I don't have the most updated version...will look into that.
I'm on eb16 with p-n-p, a touch of color rom, voodoo, and the latest flash from the market. Video from the above link (sony) plays but my audio is weird as well. I tried this on 3g though not on wifi.

you convert the video with any software?
if this is the case your conver.. is failed try convert again
this is happend many time in the past is the convert software or settings in the profile convert..
No, any video I take with the phone, any video I've loaded to the phone such as 3gp, and even effects YouTube to where they error in the YouTube app.

I have this same problem too. I even went back to AT&T to exchange my Infuse for a new one bcos I thought it might've just been the phone since i haven't found anyone else who's had this problem.
But it happened again after I got my new phone. Do you have Advanced Task Killer ? I found that it happens less frequently if you uninstall that app. When I had that app, it would happen to me every day after a couple hours of restarting my phone. But after I uninstalled it, it rarely happens. I don't know what's still causing it though.

There are few ways to download and convert "YOU TUBE" videos , I msotly convert them after they downloaded ( FLV-> Mp4) so that way I can use on Both iphone(wife) and My Andriod phone!!

I get this randomly with mp3's. it's happened about 3 or 4 times. and it won't just be the built in media player. if it happens there it will also happen with google music.
I'm getting this with youtube videos quite frequently. I'm on infused 1.3.0. Was hoping it was an issue with that rom but it sounds like it's happening on stock phones too!

I have been having this same issue with all media on my Infuse 4g for a while. Restart has always resolved it but it would come back multiple times and day and require a restart. For me, removing the official twitter app resolved my problem and I have been going several days now with no media issues. I don't if this will help or not, but I wanted to post it just in case.
Wow, nice find! Next time I have an issue I'll try uninstalling the Twitter app and see if that fixes mine too.

Reboot into CWM... and go to fix permissions. Worked for me and I've never got the problem again

YouTube and built in player doesn't work allot the audio plays but not the video does anyone else have this problem. And know how to fix it.
I am having the same issue. The only work around is to do a battery pull... and sometimes that doesn’t work either. I’ve tried factory resets, and they seem to work, but then it starts again. My issue is the video freezes but the audio is ok.
I hope there is a fix for this soon.
Seems to be persistent among all phones from reading the comments on the android Market. By the way try clicking and unclicking the hd button when you go into portrait.

Might not be related but I had this same issuse before. Turned out netflix was the culprit. After watching netflix I could no longer watch any hq videos until the phone is restarted.

So I'm using Eaglesblood ROM. Youtube worked for the first two weeks using the ROM. Out of no where it won't load any videos. It loads youtube and home page etc etc just fine but when I click on the video to play it just stays at that loading circle forever. Everything works fine over wi-fi and cell. Facebook, browser, whatever uses data works fine. Just not youtube videos? weird? It may be some setting I did on accident and just don't realize it? Any help would be nice! Thanks in advance.
This has been a problem with EB for a long time now. You're probably the third or fourth guy to bring it up in Q&A forum. Until there is an update, it remains unfixed.

So I have started having problems streaming pandora and 8tracks while on Galaxy mod rls5 or rls6. Pandora loads up and plays but after a little time I start to get a nasty interfearence noise kinda like in transformers when the little bot was hacking into the mainframe noise. (Sorry it was the best description I could come up with). It doesn't do it all the time but enough to be really annoying. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling pandora with no luck. I also factory reset and wipe cash/dalvic and that did not help either.
Any ideas what to try?

I've had problems with Pandora lately, too. Though I am using bluetooth, it was cutting in and out on me. Maybe they had problems this weekend?
