How do you remove the time from the status bar? - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

I remember before valhalla final that whitehawk included hiding clock in his tweaks app and now it's not available anymore. So how else can you hide the clock?

You know... more info would be great like a simple what rom you're using. Then you might receive some help.
If you using aosp style, valhalla or valhalla black... then go to tweaks in settings and in the clock options you will see how to do it and also many other options.

This is why this community is down under because of smartass comments like yours. Wowee I completely forgot to mention what rom I am using, omg it's the end of the world.
There are many other options under tweaks?! Who knew?! This is where you didn't really read what I posted. There is no such option to hide or remove the clock like it did before. I'm using valhalla black like it wasn't obvious enough. Can anybody else, preferably a dev, help me with this? Thanks.

Under clock options. Choose Clock Color. You could make the color of your clock black and that way you wouldn't be able to see it and effectively hide it.
I know it's not the same as hiding it where the other icons would slide right to fill the gap. Just a thought I had.

LOL Don't blame it on me. The forum its floded with useless crap and I wasn't trying to be rude but now I am. Why the hell would you want to remove the clock? If you are such a great innovative asker noob then you could just figure out to change color to black since there aren't any more option in any rom to let you deal with that sort of things. Besides that, learn to code and my guess is that you would have to change many stuff from internal to design. Good luck. I hold no grudge against you. Answer w/e you want. I rest my case.

I doubt a developer would be that interested in chiming in on this one... Though have you considered changing the launcher, adw allows you to completely hide the status bar, I know it's not the answer you may be seeking just an option

decompile the apk
/res
/layout
/statusbar.xml
Remove the clock line recompile and flash If that causes issues. U can always just change the clocks dpi to 0 which effectivly hides it. Next time please state which rom you are on ( for anything based on stock this will work..) Themers would have known this one 2

¤¤ [Theme] Smooth Blue v0.7 [10/30] [MIUI 0.10.29] ¤¤ [READ OP]

NOTICE: This thread will no longer be updated! To get the latest updates, visit the new thread here!
This is a custom theme I made for the MIUI ROM. I'm in no way a fan of the stock orange colors Android chooses to use, so I did some work of my own.
Please do not repost (or port & upload) my work without permission; do not claim any of my work as your own; I've put a lot of time into making this what it is today. Before doing anything questionable, ask yourself how you would feel if someone took credit for your work. Thanks for understanding.
¤Changes:
- Almost all orange changed to blue, including highlight text.
- Completely custom, visually appealing UI.
- White pulldown menu rather than the off-white standard.
- Themed system apps.
¤ If you have any suggestions or improvements, please let me know! Any input is appreciated.
This was built to work on HTC Incredible and Desire. If you want a port, request one. May work on Evo 4G.
¤Download:
•v0.7 - Minor tweaks, rebuilt using 0.10.29 English source.
http://bit.ly/aPG96S
Screenshots:
[very outdated, new ones will come in time]
¤¤¤ As a way of saying thank you, it would be a big help if you guys would use my Dropbox Referral Link to make an account [real or fake] so I can keep hosting files for the community; it's filling up rather quickly! ¤¤¤
Enjoy!

SetCPU works fine for me after installing theme.
Thanks so much for the icons
how deep does the theme go?
Hey there. Thanks for this! I don't like the orange so much. Like Blue a little better at least
Anyway, is the theme supposed to carry into the dialer and messaging and such? When I press numbers in the dialer, they are orange. Selections in the messaging app are still orange as well, as is the orangish background. Wasn't sure these were supposed to be affected by the theme.
Regardless...Thanks again! Closer to getting the phone to the way I like it to look.
I have the same problem– force close on setcpu when i try to create a profile..ive tried diff kernels and did a clean install..no issues till after installing the theme.

Blue Themed Status Bar, Battery Mod, & Pulldown Notification Window

UPDATES
version 2
I just wanted to share with you all my custom status bar, honeycomb style battery mod and drop down window for all GINGERBREAD & FROYO GSM roms with CWR except cm7 (I will make one if interest arrives)
CDMA users: SOMEONE SEND ME A STOCK FRAMEWORK.APK
I took the gingerbread overcome gold theme and icons and changed some things.
Thanks to the overcome gold guys.
Thanks to mendozinas for making most of this possible.
Here is what I changed.
*BatteryMod - changed it to a colorful blue hybrid Honeycomb style icon, that shows percentage, and changes progressively from red (low batt) to yellow, light blue then a darker blue. Appears on your lockscreen also.
*Window Animation - TAKEN OUT, BACK TO STOCK AMINAMTIONS upon request.
*Changed overscroll glow colors to custom light blue, dropped transparency of windows
* Status bar icons are now blue
*Status bar - changed background
*Status bar time is now blue. so are written notifications. New blue status bar system radio icons
*Dropped transparency of carrier label
*Customized the Drop down window. window is 0%, also altered style and color of Notification bar, header is transparent now. Made Background transparent around 4 service icons its now blue on black with white text for ongoing items, instead if black on black, dropped transparency
* made the colors more uniform
*A few more things.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL GSM USERS
ALLWAYS do a nandroid backup of anything you change, so you can revert easily. I prefer cwr backups.
Have cwr
Just download correct version and place on sd card. (BlueBarMod ZIP is for gingerbread and FROYO ZIP is, well.......)
flash in CWR.
use fix permissions option.
Reboot and enjoy

Everything looks GREAT! No offense to AB86 or the Overcome team, but the notification bar on RC1 was not functional. This looks great, and I love the animations! The new clock font for the lockscreen is pretty cool too.
All in all, 9 stars out of 10
Also... since you obviously know the answer to life , the universe and everything("42"), I wont mention what I think would make it a 10/10
No offence mate but how do I go back to the stock notification layout? Its really awesome, just too much eye candy for me Hope you can help me out here mate.

Rule #1 of flashing ANYTHING. Nandroid first, flash second.
You need to reflash your stock ROM most likely... Unless you can piece together what changes where made and rewrite your framework.... Yeah, that'd be fun :/ Or if you have a Nandroid, use it... But if it's not recent, you'll loose any changes since the backup.
Fantastic work mate. Genuinely different from most I have come across and fun too!! The fonts very cool I think, not sure about its longevity but for now I'm enjoying it.

Good work man. Just a tip and a request. First add an extra step of fixing permissions after flashing this in tabs that has other modded themes otherwise it will flash but wont be applied on boot.
As for the request (you did say you were open for change). Can we have the notification area clear instead of white grid (hehe reminds me of primary school math notebooks).

[8/30][EC07][Trailblazer101] Ticker Themes :)(NEW SCREENSHOT)

Alright, so i found a way to theme the front page of the ticker...
When i say theme, i DO NOT mean adding in new features.... (Even though I am working on adding in a battery icon down there )
What i mean by theme:
[Re]Move Weather Icon...
[Re]Move Ticker History Button
[Re]Move Date and/or Time
Change Date and/or Time Color/Size
Custom Text Anywhere on the Screen
Themes I have made so far:
Clean Theme: It removes everything except the clock, and makes it much larger/in the middle of the screen...
Custom Text Theme (New): I can add your customize-able text to the button (or top ) of the Ticker...
More screenshots and themes are to come! any particular options that you want from the list above, go ahead and suggest!
Notice: Adding in Custom Text is harder than it looks! Trust me You can't just add it in into the xml, no, you have to edit the services.jar file also in order to make it show
I don't want this to sound wierd but I seriously get all giddy like a schoolgirl when you come up with this shizz! XD
+1 for the clean look! That's what I would go for!

The Weatherbug and ticker history buttons are a pain for those of us who don't use either. I like both the clock and date in there. Basically it'd be nice to not have to worry about accidentally launching something when my hand brushes the ticker...so just getting rid of WB and ticker history would be great.

[Q] XML edit questions

Okay so I am slowly diving into theming and decided to look into some XML edits. My goal is to make some edits to the status bar and move the clock to the center, notification icons to the right, and signal and battery icons to the left. Here are the steps that I took:
1. Using APK Manager, I placed the SystemUI.apk from Humble 5.0 in the place-apk-here-for-modding folder
2. Selected the apk using TWframework-res as a dependency and then decompiled systemui.
3. Navigated to projects/SystemUI.apk/res/layout and clicked edit on the status_bar XML file.
4. Went to the line containing com.android.systemui.statusbar.IconMerger and changed androidaddingLeft="6.0dip" to Right and changed android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" to Right
5. Changed the line containing android:id="@id/statusIcons from androidaddingRight="6.0dip" to Left and changed android:layout_alignParentRight="true" to Left.
6.Changed the line containing com.android.systemui.statusbar.Clock from androidaddingLeft="6.0dip" to Center and left the rest of the line alone.
Can anyone with more knowledge of XML edits help shed some light on whether or not this will do what I am looking to accomplish or if there is more to it than making these little changes? I'd eventually like to find a way to move the status bar to the bottom of the screen similar to the Nook Color but I gotta take this one step at a time, haha. Any insight is more than appreciated!

You need to change a lot more than just that. Give me a few minutes and I'll link you to a guide. I was able to use this guide to get the following changes:

Icons on the left
Notifications on the right
Only problem with my results is that the notifications overlapped the clock.

I think its very clean looking and, since I'm going for the WP7 look, it's a WP7 status bar but doesn't support notifications.

@eyahl... maybe he's asking to change the background for the app drawer, and not the wallpaper...? If you look at the attached pic carefully, you'll realize its not the homescreen, but the app drawer, which has probably been modified in whatever garish looking ROM that is...
Although the other possibility is that the app drawer is completely transparent, in which case your suggestion is perfect . But i doubt that, because you can't see any other homescreen elements through the background, which would have been visible if the app drawer had been transparent (clock, other widgets, etc), so i think my hunch above is correct. (Also, I can't believe that the OP managed to flash an entire custom ROM without having the slightest idea regarding changing the wallpaper...wouldn't that be something!! )

Flash Endymion.
You could use another launcher. Also try alt app draw (search the forum)
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
yeah you should stick with well known roms where you can get support, but there is a problem that needs to be solved so try pressing menu from within the app drawer to see if anything pops up , or it could be somewhere in the settings, it has to exist somewhere, if not consider another launcher
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1210143
Look for "Custom background app drawer", and follow the steps given.
