[Q] Most Stable Custom ICS Rom?????? - General Questions and Answers

What is the most stable custom rom that is ics 4.0. Im using ressurection 9.3 and everything works after screwing around with bits and pieces but everything works. Anybody know any others??

The answer to this question varies greatly for each device. The availability of display drivers, number of devs working, saturation of phone in the marking (ie. demand for a ROM) all play huge factors, not to mention kernels.
This would be a better question in your device's development forumn (or at least the device's general forumn)

Definitely the device's Q&A (if it has one), NOT development. Questions don't belong in the dev forums, and we don't want to start him off with bad habits, do we?

Please use the Q&A Forum for questions &

Moving to Q&A

Sorry, i tried

We were all noobs once
General forums are for discussion, Q&A forums are for questions and development forums are for people to release software.
This is a good video for new members as it covers a lot of things that long-standing members wish everyone knew.

You have not mentione your Device -make /model, i have tested most of the ICS version available on internte for my SGS i9000 and found that "MyICS Ultimate" is the most stable and fast ROM with best battery backup. Recommended - if you have SGS i9000.
Thanks

[Q] [Request] MIUI Gingerbread or MIUI Froyo

Is it possible to port MIUI to the sidekick as well as keep the sidekick unique features such as the custom texting apps (group texting, cloud texting, sidekick message apk) and possibly add the sidekick unique social networking notification updater?

Anyways.. we would need a working gingerbreak leak from samsung to get a functional gingerbread ROM. And we can't Run any AOSP ROMs unless someone ports it . And its not easy. But in he future if you have a question don't post It in the development section.

This. I'm currently downloading the CM source, I'm going to see if I can get it running. I doubt it.

Maybe because its a question about the development of the device and more people check the development section.

for questions, the general and Q&A section would be the proper place.. if every question about development is posted in the DEV section we'd see more questions then threads containing actual development. which is actually happening to our SK4G forums now

Need help with rom,little bug!!!

Hello everyone, I have such a problem, please help...the fact is that after installation on htc Incredible S the rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680418 I have not shown the numbers on the battery, very disappointing. If any mod for this??? Help make the numbers on the battery, please...(forgot to mention the version of the firmware on the Sens 3.5) On my DHD everything works fine and shows... unfortunately the theme author has not left the additional instructions to work with other devices...
That's not a 'bug' - it's simply a feature that you want
Try posting this question in the Q&A forum for the device, not in the general Q&A - you are far more likely to get help from someone who knows about that phone.

Yes, I just looked at your posting history and saw that you posted the same question in the correct forum. Don't do that - its called cross-posting and is against the rules of XDA, and most other forums as well. Only ever post a question in one forum - the correct one.

Overclocking Kernels?

I seriously looked around in the forums and have seen a lot of nice looking roms with an overlock kernel, however I really do like the stock rom on my phone and for some reason I am just not seeing strictly overclocking kernels. I am rooted and have my bootloader unlocked with CWM recovery installed. Can someone please post me a link of give me some names for overlocking kernels? I am on Verizon SCH-I535 version. Thank You!

You need to post all questions in the Q&A section of these forums. http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=256
As far as I can tell the custom kernels are all tied into the ROMs themselves. Synergy's kernel allows OC.Please read the rules or think carefully before posting. If unsure just hit up the rules or go to General. Development is the last place you should be posting.

N7105 vs N7100 community support

Hi there,
I am considering buying the N7105. I would prefer to have LTE. But how well supported by the community (CM etc) is N7105 compared to N7100?

I suggest you read the XDA rules & regulations as well as where the right place to post first before buying

I guess you feel that I am violating rules & regulations and that I have posted in the wrong place?
If so, could you be more specific as to the rules I am violating and the correct place to post? I have already read the rules and considered where to post, but maybe I have missed something that you could clarify for me.
Thanks in advance.
Why don't you read? http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81

Agree with above answers. You could have post the questions in the General Discussion box instead.
Anyway, about your question, I believe N7100 has a much broader cummunity support. The number of threads and posts in XDA among N7100 and N7105 is a prime indicator. By today, the N7100 box 76,565 posts, while N7100 has 9,796.
There you have it !
N7100 wins.
I guess I fail to see why my post is off topic here, but thanks for your answers anyway.
I posted in this forum because it is the forum for community support (i.e. after market custom ROMS) for the N7100. Where but in this forum would people better know about community support for these two models? Do you think I would have gotten more or more relevant answers by posting in any other forum?
Thanks anyway. The N7100 does seem to be much more supported, as I suspected. I guess I will have to choose between community support and 4G/LTE support.

For starters your posting in the development section, this isnt a develoment related question. Even sonthere is a Q&A section where your question would be more welcomed..
Tbf I yhink your question would be better answered by the n7105 owners. The n7100 is the international version - the most people have this model and have no reason to be checking the 7105 forums whereas the 7105 community may check the 7100 forums. Thats just my opinion, I maybe wrong.

I understand your points, but my thinking was/is something like this:
It _has_ something to do with development. I am basically asking if I will have less support from community developers if I want 4G/LTE. It would be interesting for me to know the two phones are largely identical and can share ROMs and just differ on the modem/radio ROM parts which maybe can be flashed separately, or if the two phones are too different for this and I will have to settle for whatever the kind ROM developers would make for the N7105, for example.
But of course you are right that N7105 owners might also have some relevant answers to my question.

As far as roms are concerned, here is a quick list.
It's easy to see the difference.

Good Alternative OPO ROMs?

Hey OnePlus users! I wish I could put this in the development category, but I can't yet. I just have one thing I want to have: all working alternative ROMs. I'm talking no Cm, Slim or AOSP based, things like MIUI, SailfishOS, FlymeOS, or even obscure things like Ubuntu-Touch. Thank you, I appreciate all your help!

1. This wouldn't belong in 'Development' even if you could post there.
2. First rule of XDA - Search. It's not difficult to search the ROMs and find what you're after.

As the previous member already stated, this wouldn't go in the development section anyway. Only actual development (ROMs, kernels, hacks, exploits) should ever be posted in the development section. So please never post a question there.
You'll find all ROMs for this device in our development sections, and some in our general section. I also have an index thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2843675
So it's up to you to go and find them for yourself, it isn't up to anyone else to list them here for you.
