I found myself giving in to temptation yesterday morning...then I rooted today. Tomorrow I gotta figure out what fate will befall the Eris. I plan to strip down my GSB and make a media player/kids game machine. It would help if I could leave the bolt alone...
As for the Kraken...can he handle thunder & lightning?!?

Just dropped my Eris for TB. I was with the Eris from the beginning but didn't really post on xda for the last 10 month. But glad to see some of the OG Eris devs here.

yea i see alot of the top guys from the eris forums and the inc forums are rocking TBs so this new TB community is going to be a very strong here on XDA

I see. I haven't kept up with most of the stuff happening back in the Eris threads till now (sorry!) lol but I can't wait!

Hard to tell... it's all camouflaged! Actually it looks pretty good... the Bowers did a good job with what he finished. All the apps were old versions so I am rebuilding them now plus a few more.

@mak only cause i talk to raver on pretty much a daily basis will i say this. no its not GB 2.3.5 as of yet. i'll let him get into why for its his rom and his decision.
@spy this its not miui. as he stated in the OP, he's still working on that.
now on that note, just wanna say that this is looking great as usual bro. can't wait to see and try the finished product.

Atm no im building it off 2.3.4 then when i have everything done how i want it ill move it to 2.3.5

Possible port ICS sense from Sensation

i found this link in sensation thread. is it possible to port it on MT4G? and how hard?

Porting overall is pretty hard. I don't know the first thing about it, except that it would probably take a lot of time.

the easiest to port from is the desire hd. Its fairly simple for that device (most of the time) so if the dhd gets one id take a crack at it but till then..not so sure

You're gonna have to modify a load of m10 files or you're going to have a lot of things falling off the screen. A kernel is gonna be even worse since you need a Sense compatible ICS kernel, and that won't be fun to conjure up.

Is it possible to see how the camera is configured in that ROM. An take another aosp ics ROM, remove the camera in it, then try to put it in Feb's ROM? Just a thought.

Being that it is sense, I'm figuring it has sense framework, that won't work with aosp. But sering how it works well be helpful. Another thought would be to take a gnex ROM, rip it apart, find the camera files. Keep in mind where they go, then try to duplicate it in our ROM.

Many core apps don't really work, but at least we get the real launcher. Most of the things can be ripped out easily or by deleting the apk from /system/app.

Do you have to delete some files in the rom to flash it because i noticed that there were a lot of files for other phones in there or did we just flash this sucker

Can't wait for this ROM to come out of Alpha, hoping that battery life will be amazing! Won't hold anything against anyone. I know sense ROM's tend to use a bit more battery than AOSP/CM/MIUI builds, but I'll have some hope!

Dude, chill out. You are both right...
But the main problem is what XDA is not central place now. Many devs went from XDA to their forums. And it is too hard to gather info from their portals. I (as common user) don't want register and monitor 100500 sites for something new. I want see that new ROM will appear here at XDA.
Spreading (diversity) of information at thousand places is severe headache. And does not matter user or dev are you.

I would assume that this policy they have is for sharing a ROM on another forum as well. Check the link, it's their porting policy/ROM inclusions policy.
