So I brain farted. I deleted the stock launcher and put zeam on. When my phone got buggy I decided to factory wipe. Ooops. Now I need to figure out how to sideload a launcher onto it, or flash it back to stock. Problem is, I cant find the factory *.tar file anywhere. I think I can sideload any launcher from odin, but Im not real familiar with that either. HELP!

If you've already fixed it or found another way, then good job. If not, try searching for LGNPST. It'll reflash your phone.
It's worked for me several times

For some reason when I try to switch to touchwiz it tells me the app failed and can't launch. It has worked before not sure why not now. I used touchwiz 4.5 for a bit but got rid of it and it still worked after that. But now when I switch from launcher pro it fails to load. Any suggestions?

Figured it out....
Hey I'm curious if you can share what ended up fixing the issue? I had the same problem a while back and ended up just having to factory reset my phone.
Thanks!

I downloaded the zip file from the other thread first. Then I moved the touchwiz30.apk from system app and just put it on the sd card. Then I went to cwm and flashed the zip file. Worked perfect after that.

I recently was playing with one of those bloatware freezing apps. I froze only the obvious ones like buddies now etc. Something happened though. After I was done the icon tray was gone, and the home buton did'nt work at all. The phone was basically a brick because I couldn't get to any apps. So I did a factory restore. It did it and some of the apps were still there but crashed. So I uninstalled everything and reinstalled it back through market.
Now things kind of work but everytime I load some apps I get messages like it was installed for the first time even if I ran them before. None of the preferences are saved. If I leave them in RAM they remember but if I go to the task manager and flush RAM when I restart all preferences are gone again. Nothing is being written or saved to the system like it should be. The theme chooser in Astro file manager doesn't work at all.
What the hell is going on and how can I fix it? I am using the stock ROM and rooted.

dave,
if a factory reset didn't fix your problem,
you will have to flash your phone back to stock.
you can use gtg's ultimate unbrick - stock froyo
h8rift root and 3e recovery - stock froyo, rooted with 3e recovery or
adam outler's heimdall one click to gb leak, uckj4 stock.
you can find these in the dev superthread or some of my quick links

Hi,
Sorry I screwed that up. I couldn't get into the interface to do a factory reset. So what i did was flash back to stock with odin. After I did that the apps were still there but many didn't work. I uninstalled them and re-installed and they worked as stated with glitches.
Maybe I needed to flash to stock then do a factory reset to clean things up?

yeah, if you wanted to clean up everything, do a factory reset. Take off all the files and pictures you want from the phone including your micro sd card if you gave one.
Go to settings. Privacy. Factory reset.
Put phone into download mode.
Use gtg's ultimate unbrick if you want to go back to stock froyo. Then do the ota update.
I just purchased a p509 as a backup phone and figured I could easily root it and flash a better ROM on it. I am not new to the whole flashing process. I've had no problems doing all this on three other phones (LG G2x, Galaxy Centura, and a Galaxy S 4G).
I rooted it using Gingerbreak. Seemed to go ok. My first problem was having error messages using Astro File Manager. I then got a little carried away with Titanium Backup and deleted the LG Home launcher and probably something else I shouldn't have. I of course then had no home screen. I used Gmail to send the APK to myself and install it. I then had my home screen, but I still got error messages every time I hit the home button.
I then installed ROM manager to try and get a recovery on the phone and wipe out all my issues with a new ROM. It gets to 100% installing CWM and then I get a Superuser error message. If I try and fix permissions I get the same thing.
Any advice? The only factory restore help i can find is the basic hard reset stuff.
Every time something needs Superuser, SU gives me a FC. I can't even install Busybox. Is there no way to return this phone to the way it came from the factory?
Ok so I seem to have SU working now. But Busybox still won't install...
Well even though no one cares to help (not surprised on XDA) I want to add some info. I have tried flashing a recovery two different ways through terminal emulator with no luck. My current status is using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2003080
I'm trying to type in "flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img" and getting a not enough memory message. This is becoming the most pain in the ass thing i have ever tried to do. I would love to just have it back to the way I received it with all the stock apps and games and not having to email myself the LG Home launcher every time I reset it. Any insight would be appreciated.
the problem is that rom manager is not compatible anymore with O1(if you managed to install recovery do not boot into it from rommanager, use combo keys), so read this post to install recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827723 (to go in fastboot try to use quickboot from playstore), search forum for flashable recovery thread for O1,
or, to make it stock just flash an oldbb GB rom 2.2 and use LG support tool from LG site and update to latest version available, worked for me
Thank you very much. I actually just solved the problem with this guide:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318750 and running GingerDX.
Good to know how to get it back to stock though. I swear I searched and got nothing but "Hard reset" results.

I was mucking around with Titanium Backup and froze (*not uninstalled) Blinkfeed. Unfortunately, this caused my phone to crash. Now it will not boot. I am able to get it into CWM recovery, but I never made a .zip to recover from and now I just feel stupid. Is there any way to recover this?
Am I able to do a factory reset in order to get the phone working again? (And also, will this remove my root) The data I'm not terribly concerned about. All important pictures have been backed up already and there are no documents that are dire. I just need a working phone.
Thank you for any help you can provide!
I would just put a rom zip onto a microSD and flash that.
Although I wouldn't have thought that freezing BlinkFeed would crash your phone and get it stuck in a bootloop, so what do I know?
Performed a factory reset and that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem.
I'm going to look into flashing a rom but that is something I haven't done before and I'm not too comfortable with it.
Do you have any suggestions? I just want to keep the standard stuff (what it was shipped with). I was mainly rooting to get rid of bloatware and have a bit more freedom.
EDIT: Rebooted a second time and the factory reset seems to have taken hold. I'm back at square one but it is far better than nothing.
EDIT2: Not quite back at square one as my backup through Titanium Backup still existed and I was able to utilize that. Lost some contacts, call history, and texts. That's all!
Glad to hear that you were able to fix it. If you ever need a stock Sense rom, I would recommend CleanRom. Watch out though, its really easy to become a flashaholic
i did the same thing : )

Or run the stock s-on ruu which doesn't wipe.
Hi guys, I just registered @ xda because it looks like it's the only serious and feedback active community available. In 10 minutes I found most of the info I was looking for, but I still want to make sure what Im planning to do is fine before I mess up again. Here's the issue:
I was fooling around with the tablet and had just rooted it so I could get rid of some bloatware, and decided to go further and install cyanogen, just for the looks. So I got this thing cm-10.1-20130411-EXPERIMENTAL-p3110-M3 from the official site, which was I put on a folder inside the tablets storage (not on the 16gb SDcard it had in it). I downloaded Rom Manager and skipped through the "search and download rom" and went for the option of looking for it inside the SD card. I had the Backup options and the wipe cache and data ON.
So I proceeded and it booted, started to do the backup and at some final point it had an error, something like "could not backup Data!". I had the options of rebooting, some other stuff and the option of installing a rom from the SD Card. I went for it and searched for the .zip inside the storage, and installed it. It did it withouth trouble, and when it finishd it prompted me to install an update, which I didn't (don't know why).
Then, I went for the reeboot option and when it started I get the normal samsung's black screen with the device's name on it, but then I get a fast glitching image that sweeps through the screen and the cyanogen startup logo which gets stuck for ever.

Now Im past it, I can get to download or recovery mode, so I moved onto getting the original firmware so I can clean-install again. I got it from sammobile, chose the one belonging to Chile (that's where I got the tablet), and it's 729mb of data. The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3110
If I flash it with Odin will everything be fine? All I have to do is that thing in downloadmode when I rooted it, but with that 729mb file? Should I put it in the external SD or is it more convenient to place it in the internal storage?
I appreciate your help in advance, I know this is as basic as it gets but messing up again would cost me dearly, since I have to do other stuff.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1900055 read here, all the information you will need.
It's fine to flash through odin, you will back at stock provided you don't overlook small details and do exactly like the way it is shown. Don't worry, Don't panic. Just be careful to use the files meant for your device only. Second be extra careful when you are dealing with kernel file, pit file or reparation in odin in future.
Third, get root and custom recovery, twrp.
Fourth, after your device start running take backup from twrp recovery. That will save you from most of the trouble.
Most of the details and instructions are already here

hey thanks a lot, im feeling better ow. There's just one issue left: I cant download the original firmware (it's 699mb, and the download keeps stopping midway through it). What happens if I go into clockwork recovery mode and do a factory reset? would that bring me to the original OS? Im kinda scared of downloading an erroneous file again.
EDIT: im doing a factory reset and then flashing this rom called AOSP Project Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3110 which is a 161mb file. Will that work?

Factory reset is just clearing data and cache, if you have made changes in kernel or system, factory reset won't reset them, in your case, system has been altered so you will have to format system, then flash the new rom. If you were on jelly bean stock, you are good to flash it.

You guys have helped me a lot. I've worked everything out and now i've got to reinstalling android on it, AOSP's 5.1.1 Lollipop. It's beautiful. There's just one problem: Since it came with no apps at all, I wanted to install everything on it again. Problem is, when I go to google play, it shows that i've already got my apps installed, so it wont let me download them, and it doesn't matter if I place the APK's inside the tablet as there's no manager to open them. Even if I download apk's through the tablet's own web browser, it says it can't open the file. Any ideas on this?
