I have noticed that my GoSMS app no longer updates my contacts display pictures. On the other hand however, in my standard contacts and sms apps they are up-to-date.
Has anyone got a solution for this? I have read of this issue before but with no solution
My device is a HTC Desire S running Emdiymon

Hey all,
I have been searching all over the net and various forums about this but haven't found ONE person with the same bug I have been experiencing...and that is very strange to me.
I am using YouMail and so far I love it. Some of my contacts have had their contact photo imported from Facebook. For these contacts, YouMail does not resize the contact photo properly so it winds up taking up about 80% of the screen and I am unable to scroll through and read the text or information from the voicemail.
I have looked all throughout the settings but just couldn't find a fix for this. Is this a known bug (if so, it hasn't been reported anywhere on the net that I can see...)? Is there some fix that I am overlooking?

I was just wondering if there was any way for SMS Popup to show the facebook contact pictures that are synced from the stock facebook app in the popup just like it does for the contacts with pictures from your gmail.

That would be awesome if it could do this! I love SMS Popup because I don't need a full SMS replacement like Handcent (I think that's what it's called?). I just need a popup like SMS Popup provides but it doesn't show contact pictures that sync from Facebook which is a lot of my contact.
In the SenseUI Roms it does do this, as it links their contact profiles with their facebook.. however I don't know of a way in a stock rom to do this.

Handcent is REALLY good tho. I've used it for quite some time and not to long ago switched back to stock messaging app + sms popup and only lasted about 2 or 3 weeks tops before breaking down and installing handcent again. It's just leagues ahead of stock app and sms popup combined.
Handcent does use these pictures, fwiw.

It's not as nice, but SynxMyPix on the market will actually add Facebook pictures to your contacts, instead of linking them, so they will show up for this.
Hi everybody,
i've tried using CM and OXYGEN ROM on my HTC Desire. The ROMs are very good but I have an issue that i can't fix. I sync my contacts with facebook to have facebook photos as contact photos. but when i recieve a call the photo is very blurry. is there any solution to this problem?

So I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I'm asking anyway.
Now that Hangouts is the default app on our phones for SMS and MMS, I'm wondering about future potential for it. Specifically, I'd love to be able to use the hangouts app/extension on my desktop to send SMS messages from my phone. It's annoying to have to grab my phone to respond when I'm already at a PC. I'm working around that currently by using Mightytext, but it's annoying and buggy. If Hangouts is going to be the solution for messaging, I'd like to see that feature set integrated. Anyone know if this is possible or planned?
Additionally, is it possible (or planned) to have hangouts archive messages the same way it archives chats? This seems like the most useful purpose/benefit when it comes to using hangouts for text messaging.
Any thoughts or feedback?

Yes, chats on google sync to your phone perfectly. I was thinking about SMS messages syncing to my computer the other direction. If you've ever used mightytext, you know what I'm talking about. It seems to me like it should be integrated into hangouts on the PC/gmail/google+

So it's been a few days that I try to make Hangouts SMS work but it is still not working...
I'm on MIUI and have a Meizu MX2.
I tried uninstalling/installing Hangouts , disabling stock SMS app, notification is enabled in Hangouts and I don't have any other messaging app apart from Facebook messenger but I doubt since it doesn't do SMS.
Anyway, I know that a lot of people have asked similar question but nothing worked for me, maybe it is because I am using MIUI but I read that people didn't have any trouble using Hangouts on MIUI...
Same problem here. Delete and re add your google account. It worked for me.
