[Q] Finding mytouch cheaper?

So I wanna get the mytouch 4g. I'm currently one year into my two year contract with tmo with my gravity 2 (phone sucks). I talked to a rep and told me the phone would cost me around $300 since I'm not eligible for a full upgrade. Any way of getting the phone for less thru someone (Wirefly, etc.)?

Nope. The phone $450 without a contract
Switch over to a Family Plan and add the MyTouch as a new line maybe? Then just remove all the features on one of the lines. New lines qualify for the $150 pricing I think.
Do some back to back warranty replacements then threaten to cancel your contract if you don't get a new phone. It worked for me, and they sent me a free phone without renewing my contract.

A friend of mine just tried that ... He ended up with an LG Optimus... That's the best they would give him.
This is an example of a conversation questions, this will stay in general section.
They first tried to get me to upgrade, but I told them it was cheaper to cancel my contact and get a new phone through att. Needless to say they transfered me straight to retention.

Craigslist !
Give it about two weeks and then check Craigslist.
Theres already a brand new in unopened box G2 for $350.00
in my area on C/L. I've seen a couple G2's for $300.00.
The MyTouch 4g will be the same in a couple weeks.
I bought my Nexus on C/L.

[Q] have a ? guys

i have an htc aria but a friend of mine has the inspire and i really like it im in between jobs at the moment and was wondering if anyone knows where i can get an inspire for cheap any help would be greatly appriceated
depending on where you are in your contract with AT&T, you might be able to get one for as low as $59, depending on the reseller and if they are willing to use part of their commission to give you a discount for a two-year renewal. If it is too early for you to qualify for a discount on the upgrade, try Amazon, eBay or Craigslist.

no contract is 399, which is incredibly cheap for a phone full price. i'm tempted to buy this every day because of its 399 price tag. other devices are 550-600 for the same quality phone.
your other choice is craigslist or ebay. great deals exist.

Original full price for NS4G?

What was the original price for the NS4G when it was first released? Trying to figure out how much I'll get back for it when I sell it to Best Buy
599 or 699. I know after 6 months u get like 350 back

I bought my 4G from BestBuy on release day flat out for $699.99.
Why didn't you have them price match the Sprint retail price? Which is considerably lower. Just saying if you are paying "retail" then you have a case more than disputing a contract price.

$199 with contract.

I'm not disputing anything, don't they give you whatever percentage of the retail value back to you with their buy-back program?
Yes. Its 50% within the first 6 months. Here is a link.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Misc/Buy-Back-Program/pcmcat230000050010.c?id=pcmcat230000050010
I wasn't saying anyone was disputing anything. What I meant was, if you were buying it retail you should have told them that Sprint sells it for $549.00. Would have saved you $150.00 on the release day.
Edit: Also in terms and conditions it says that the buyback program does not start til 30 days after the purchase. So in all actuallity you have til the 7th month of purchase to sell it back.

I traded my Evo for mine. Definitely satisfied with my end of the trade.

[Q] Best way to go from Epic 4G -> Nexus S?

I'm trying to see if I can ditch my Epic 4G and sidegrade to a Nexus S 4G with spending as little money as possible.
Looks like the prices for new Nexus S is around 220ish, with used Epics going from $130 and up. Wondering if I should just buy a new/used Nexus S, add it to my plan, deactivate the Epic 4G then sell it (it's in pristine condition, had it since launch).
I also have a $75 upgrade available (knowing the Premier program is changing soon) and Sprint is offering $85 for a trade in of the Epic 4G as well.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
That's an upgrade not a sidegrade!!! You could get lucky and find a person willing to trade. Otherwise I would sell it on eBay or CL.

I went from the EPIC to the nexus s about 2 weeks ago and I will never look back. I had called sprint and asked them for an early upgrade cause I was so tired of that peice of **** epic. They would not give me a full upgrade yet and I told them I want to exchange my phone for a different one then cause I had so many problems with the epic. I went through a couple different supervisors and finally they said ok and I could choose between the evo and the transform and the nexus! U already know what I chose...

I've always gotten phones straight from Sprint with the two year agreement and $150 rebate.
I was checking on Best Buy/Wirefly and right now they have the Nexus S for 0$ with contract extension. How does that work?
that contract extension only works if your eligible for your $150 upgrade cause they want you to sign up for another 2 years. Trust me there is no way around this. If you want a new phone like the SGS2 or the new nexus prime coming up and you dont have a full upgrade yet just add another line to your acount and the you get the phone at the contract price. After you do that just put the line you just opened on hold and it will cost you only $10 a month.
i traded my epic for an evo a couple months ago, and today i'm trading a evo for a nexus s 4g. just keep tabs on your area's craigslist. people are always looking to trade their phone for something different.

No it doesn't, I traded my Evo for the Nexus S 4G 2 months ago I also included all 3 of my otterbox cases.. I posted the phone and within 5 minutes of it going up someone called me with a Brand new in box Nexus S.. I freakin love this phone. Upgraded my best friend and my mom to one yesterday. NFC with Google Wallets is awesome

The only way to reset an upgrade is to buy a subsidized phone through your carrier or an authorized retailer.

Next HTC Sprint phone?

Anyone know what HTC Sprint phone will be coming out next? I'm able to get an upgrade (discounted) in a few weeks, but I'm not sure it's worth going from HTC EVO 4G to the HTC EVO 3D if there's going to be another HTC Sprint phone coming out first quarter.
Thanks folks.
