Need H-Boot with S-ON enabled - Thunderbolt General

All the megaupload links are dead.. Need Hboot with S-ON enabled so I can send my TBolt back to VZW.
None of the mediafire links seem not to work also.
Anyone have an hboot file with S-ON? If it helps I used the old manual way to get S-OFF in the first place.
Nevermind the mediafire links started working.
I uploaded the file if anyone needs it.
This is flashable through the HBoot Bootloader
Just rename the file to PG05IMG.zip and put it on your sdcard and flash it through Hboot. This will change your bootloader to S-ON.

[RUU]S-Off Ruu Hero_C_Sprint_2.31.651.7 Radio 2.42.01.04.27

This is a Complete Ruu I created with the latest release from Sprint this Is ONLY FOR THOSE WITH THE REGAW S-OFF check this thread "[UNLOCK] S-OFF and NAND UNLOCK TOOL for ALL CDMA Heros"
I made this is for those that may need to take your phone in for service or just want to revert to a completely stock img, you can flash this from HBoot and it will reset the phone to completely stock everything. this will not remove the S-off.
This has not been tested with Darch's Eng Hboot although it should in theory work. but the hboot is replaced by the newest hboot. (try at your own risk with this one)
This must be flashed from Hboot and Only if you have the S-off above.
Download HERCIMG.zip
Mirros when I have time
If someone tests this with darchs Eng Hboot then please confirm it works with me so it can be added as confirmed.
Thanks

Question about s-off

I did the one click root and s-off method. Iv flashed a few roms they all work fine. A few of them have wifi signal problems so i want to try different radios. They say you need eng s-off correct? Not radio s-off? Well this is my real question, in bootloader it says at the top,"ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL". So which is it? Radio s-off or eng s-off? Thanks for any help.

I think most people would agree unless you are positive you know what your doing...eng s-off is not a good idea. Pretty much any radio you would want to flash can be flashed with just radio s-off....it just has to be in a zip named PD98IMG.zip and pretty much all the radios in this forum can be found in that format.

Check that out. It has a radio packaged in it and instructions on how to install it. And my understanding is that whatever radio you want to install, you can take that radio.img and place it in that zip to replace that radio.img that is in it. Somebody correct me if I am wrong please.
EDIT: Here is another thread with instructions on how to flash a radio WITHOUT eng s-off
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002226
So is it eng? Or radio s-off?
And im running androidrevolution 5.1.9 and i downloaded the radio from that thread but i dont have access to a conputer to zip it and check it correctly, nor can i find the correct ziped version could somebody possibly do this for me? And the ril file? I think the radio for that rom is 12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2 thanks guys!

If the radio is flashable via hboot, the thread where you found the radio should say that. The file must be named pd98img.zip for hboot to find it. When you flash a radio this way, you only need the s-off you already have (based on what your bootloader screen says). You do not need eng-off. You are good to go. You should not be zipping anything yourself...
PS Just use the stock ATT radio. There is a thread or two with the pd98img.zip that contains the radio and the ril.
Ok, i have the latest ota already, i did the wifi update before i did the one click, i guess all i need now is the matching rl from the radio i mentioned in my op
Someone just started a new thread for inspire radios. He said he will update it every Friday with radios an the matching ril for each radio.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
Step 1: Find your HBoot flashable PD98IMG.zip file including a radio inside of it, which is compatible with your phone and has been tested and find its md5sum. Make sure that your not downloading a radio.img but a PD98IMG which you always will find here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002226
Step 2: Check the md5sum on your computer (if your running windows google md5checker or something similar) match them and move it to your sdcard, but NOT in a folder.
Step 3: Check the md5sum again but from your inspire, i use hashdroid personally but theres a terminal command also. Once it matches up you are safe and ready to go, but remember you can't be to safe flashing radio's.
Step 4: Hold down Vol- & Power while phone is off and fastboot is NOT on loading yourself into hboot, next is the suspenseful part (unless you did all the steps above correctly) let it sit for a second and it will load the zip on your sdcard later prompting you to vol+ or - for yes/no select yes if you feel safe and it will flash the radio.
Step 5: Attempt to successfully boot into your current rom and then check the radio firmware by going to menu>Settings>About>Software i believe or something close.
Congratulations you've made it through easily and painlessly without needing to bother with Eng-Off.
Thank Shad0wf0x for this method as i learned from his and attn1's help through alot of irc chatting when i first got my inspire, which was also my first android/ios phone.

I don't think anyone has answered the question that he asked. He want to know if he has radio s-off or eng s-off if his bootloader screen said,"ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL". Answer is you have radio s-off so you can flash roms via recovery but not radios. Everyone here is just telling you that the eng s-off is not a good idea in order to flash radios and pointing you to posts that shows you how to install radios by using PD98IMG method. I used this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106324). All the radios are already named PD98IMG.zip, so all you have to do is place it in your sd card and use Hboot to install it. Also it has correct ril files for the radio that you can flash from cwm recovery (make sure you go to mounts and storage screen and mount/system before you flash ril files when you are in recovery).
I had the same question, now I have both radio and eng s-off, you have to use the eng s-off tool...theres a turoial (to get eng s-off).....

[Tutorial] [Discontinued] How to restore stock ROM and S-On after AlphaRevX S-Off

I am sorry to announce, but I am pulling this tutorial. Tutorial is not meant for branded phones and recently I am getting few of those asking for help!
Sorry unbranded device owners, but my intention is to have brick free world!
Have a nice day! And safe flashing.
P.s. FYI, new boot loader can be unlocked using htcdev.com and locked again using the same.

good to know if somthing goes wrong and must be done in warranty time
can I use your guide for my thread ? I will give you credit.. thanks.
Why not do it the easy way since you're already S-OFF?
Take the ENG HBOOT found here and put the PG88IMG.zip in the root of your SD card
Boot into the bootloader (Volume Down + POWER)
Go into FASTBOOT mode
The bootloader will automagically detect your new HBOOT and install it
After rebooting your phone you can install any RUU you want. That will bring HBOOT back to the installed original
Make sure you make a good backup up front and be carefull what RUU to flash. The newer ones will overwrite HBOOT with version 0.98.0002, which, up to this date, can't be put to S-OFF yet by Alpharevx. I recommand you install the oldest RUU version you can find. A list of original ROMS can be found here
Good luck!
@nodeffect
Feel free.
@jorgen2009
such approach won't work with Alpharev hboot. They appear to have kinda locked it by making it appear ar 6.x Hboot version. That means, that bootloader will bypass upgrade. Been there, tried that, didn't work

The original ENG HBOOT didn't work if i recall correctly. Redownload the ENG-HBOOT and you'll notice the version has changed to a number higher than Alpharev's. It DOES work now, in fact, my phone is S-ON again as we speak
Will have to try that again.

So what is the use of Eng S-Off.rar?
And another question the RUU is an .exe?

just check again in fastboot, ENG HBOOT version has changed to 6.98.2000 iirc. After running the RUU it should be 0.98.0000 again as ENG HBOOT can be overwritten in contrast to the AlphaRevX HBOOT. If you only want ENG HBOOT don't flash the RUU obviously

SAGA PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-6.98.1002
RADIO-3805.06.02.03_M

It asks vol + to install update
And after it's finished
Power down to reboot.
Maybe i got the wrong file? The PG88IMG.zip attached here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113820

Try to re-download Eng Hboot (normal and modified) after deleting browser cache. Disable antivirus software during download and transfer to microsd.
Do not download file directly with desire S browser: use a pc
You can try also with a different microsd card

BTW I changed the link in my first post here to this one. I accidently posted the wrong version
BTW...... the original eng hboot is 1 mb and this modified one is only 260 kb ???
Maybe that's why it doesn't work.
In winrar i have like this

With thanks to user Murchelago for providing adb method to restore stock boot and HTC for providing RUU's here is step by step, how to return to stock after Alpharevx S-Off.
Prerequisites:
Debugging mode on
Root access
Hboot.img (attached)
RUU for stock restore. Can be downloaded here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002506
How to:
1. Put the hboot.img you want to flash in the root of the sdcard.
2. In cmd run the following commands (after each command press enter):
adb devices
adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18 of=/sdcard/backup.img
dd if=/sdcard/hboot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18
reboot bootloader
3. RUN Downloaded RUU
4. You are on stock again!
After running ADB commands and rebooting into bootloader, you will get security warning. This is normal, just continue with flashing RUU.
Worked for me perfectly 3 times without any issues. However issues might occur and I can not take any responsibility for them. Use this tutorial on your own responsibility

I can confirm that you CANNOT just RUU a device. As the name implies, ROM Update Utility.
I followed everything on the first page and can confirm that I've successfully reverted back to HBOOT 0.98.0000.
AFAIK my phone was flashed with the hTC_Asia_WWE_1.31.707.2 on stock.
I tried to RUU using the oldest firmware that I can find, HTC_Europe_1.28.401.1. But it gave me the error 131 (AFAIK) customer ID error. About language and stuffs. Model ID, etc.
So I tried to RUU with the oldest hTC_Asia_WWE_1.31.707.2 (the oldest that I can find that is an ASIA one.). Then it gave me the error 140 (bootloader error). The readme doesn't have any information on this one, even on the net for HTC Saga.
So I tried to RUU with the "LATEST" hTC_Asia_WWE_1.48.707.1 that I found and everything works well. I really am not quite sure why I was not able to "downgrade", just "upgrade".
AFAIK i just updated my radio to the latest 20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M found on the hTC_Asia_WWE_1.48.707.1 when I was S-OFFed. It may have something to do with it.
Just an additional info. I'm now S-ON and on-stock hTC_Asia_WWE_1.48.707.1_20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M

[Q] How to flash HBOOT v1.17.2008?

How to flash HBOOT v1.17.2008?
I've got the engineering HBOOT from here, but have not been able to find the information on how to flash it.
Any idea?
Look in the dev section there is a way to flash that hboot think needs to be in a IMG.zip there is one around just search in dev section
Any link?
The search there seems to be really hard!
I'm on my phone give me a min ill look
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20681060&postcount=22
There is the IMG.zip chesk md5sum ans place in sdcard boot into bootloader ans should flash hboot back
You flash in fastboot, there is a guide here:
http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=Fastboot
If you currently have hboot 1.20 the fastboot flash commands are disabled though.
There is a thread on firmware versions in the development section that might help. Also:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1203784.html
Sensation XE tbc
Even then I think you need to be s-off to downgrade hboot
I was already at S-OFF w/ 1.17.1111.
I've put that ZIP and "flashed" from the HBOOT.
Now my unit can only go to the HBOOT (it says ENS S-OFF).
But doesn't boot any more.
I've tried to re-flash my previous v1.17.1111 but I still get 1.17.2008.
NOW WHAT?
Your take out the IMG.zip out of sdcard and your phone should boot right back up
Try to flash the eng hboot img from fastboot?
Sensation XE tbc
DONE
Now I'm back up and running.
Thanks to everyone.

[HBOOT] I extracted hboot 1.44.0007

not nessasaraly flashable but heres the hboot 1.44.007 I extracted from a PG59IMG file to work with, maybe someone out here can find a way to use this to come up with a new s-off patch for those of us stuck on 1.45.0013... maybe, or see if its posible to flash using fastboot, for example:
fastboot flash hboot hboot.img
i dunno just something to work with

Thanks and btw (don't take my word cuz I'm pretty sure) to test the hboot before flashing...you can use "fastboot boot (replace this with filename)"
I was browsing back through and came across this thread, don't know how I missed it before.
The hboots we have are described here: boot, hboot
...for anyone else coming behind and needing this information.
