hello
Can find Arabic language support to my SGH-T959v
I recently updated my phone to 2.3.6
the problem with Arabic language come with separate letters which is not easy to read for Arabic language reader
I found keyboard in market (Arabic soft keyboard) by using the app I can write Arabic and not separated letters
Other devises can read my Arabic letters except the Apple devises what appear to them is only squares.
I hope that find solution for this problem

I just installed cyanogen mod and noticed that , althought I can choose Nederlands ( dutch) as a language , not all is in dutch . for instance the keyboard does not have a ductch dictionary available ( so no predictive text). Also Talk is in English as are some native nexus s settings .. The stock rom I had (gri54) does have all those things in dutch ... Is there a way to get those thing in dutch to on Cyanogen ?
I do not quite unnderstand why my language isn't completely supported on Cyanogen and it is supported on my gri54 stock ..
I think you must wait cm7 team to fully translate the mod to your language. You can also make a request at cm official forum.

Hi Bandis,
I already send a request to the CM team (Cyanogen himself) to contribute in translating the modded parts in Dutch (Nederlands). That was two weeks ago. But never received a reply on that.....

okay ..but it still makes me wonder why for example the gingerbread keyboard does not contain the dutch dictionary or why gtalk is in english , or the google ad account part is in English ? these are not parts that are modded I guess ? On gri54 they are all in dutch .. Maybe it is because they use gri40 as base ?

GRI40: USA
GRI54: Europe.
Okay , so Cyanogen will never have full dutch, because they are I believe from the usa ?
Why not use european base as a standard , it contains complete english ( us and uk) as well as a dozen other languages complete ...
Hi ! I wonder if there is an app to read arabic since now one have managed to open sensation yet...
You don't need any app to read arabic. The fonts are incorporated in the software.
You will need a compatible keyboard in order write in arabic, there plenty such free keyboards in the market, AnySoftKeyboard and more. However, the text will be aligned to the left and if you use european numerals, numbers will be displayed backwards (only) in an arabic text.Say you wanted to write 108, it would show as 801
My phone is a scandinavian version and its not incorporetad in the software.arabic language thats why I want something to write and read arabic without a keyboard....
There is a program called 'Mirsal'; I don't know if you can find it on the Android Market now, but you can search for it using Google.
It allows you to read/write SMS in Arabic WITHOUT the need for root or even Arabic fonts. It even has a built-in Arabic keyboard.
The only time you can read and write Arabic is within the program though.
Thanks for all your answere but my problem is when I go out on the internet and want to read an arabic newspaper or site it doesn`t read the letters. I only se them halfway.. The only version that read it of HTC Sensation is the US version. The europeanversion DOES not have it in the software as the US version... Thats way I`m looking for an app or something that works...
I woke up this morning to find that an update was available for my phone software called 1.34.415.1 that supports Arabic !! I installed it and I'm now able to view Arabic webpages, see Arabic tweets and best of all, type in Arabic using built in keyboard.. No need to root device and no need to install 3rd party apps..

I have had the same thing happen to my HTC Sensation this morning. In order to enter Arabic, do you have to switch to Arabic as the main keyboard language? I haven't been able to enter Arabic when the main language was English.
R the letters joint.also does the handset need to b sim free to get updates.I'm on tmobile in uk.has this update been released in uk.

Problem solved by install dr.ben0x keyboard from market but I think it suppose to have this option without need to install 3rd party SW
If all what you need is read arabic on the web, use Firefox.

Can use other input method ? Such as "Anykeyboard"
Yes, sure you can ... yesterday i got one from Nasa (nasa4ppc . com) (Middle East Version) with full arabic Keypad. you can read & write ...
Really it's excellent device .. I love this ChaCha
Just tap into the "text input" for two seconds till yo see " copy , past , input method "
then chose input method. finally, chose the desire language
for Arabic >> chose : Arabic keyboard
for English >> chose : touch input
In Arabic keyboard you can swap easy between Arabic and English language.
Android phones in Canada do not support the Arabic language for some reason. The letters are all disjointed which makes it really hard to read.
I'm waiting for HTC to unlock the boot loader so I can download an Arabic ROM for it!
Edit: I recently found out that Sony Ericsson supports reading and writing in Arabic. It's the only company to do so in Canada......... for now!!!!!
You Have Lots Of Ways
Well, you can use several keyboards.like Persian Soft keyboard and Smart Keyboard Pro.
They both support QWERTY keyboard, But I suggest you PERSIAN SOFT KEYBOARD which supports Arabic & Persian as it's name goes so.

Is there any CWM or stock rom for Middle East available for download?
That's weird, I think my p5113 has Arabic. You could try CM9. (click the link in my signature for flashing instructions)
Arabic keyboard for galaxy tab 2
i just bought a galaxy tab2, 10.1, running android 4.0.3
i bought it from Dubai, so it is a middle east region with Arabic support. i can browse Arabic websites and i can read Arabic e-mails. however, i can't add an Arabic keyboard to be able to change the input language back and forth from English to Arabic.
in the settings, there is only the option to change the whole device language to Arabic, which i don't want. even when i tried this option, and the whole tab turned into Arabic, i tried writing a memo or an e-mail and there was not Arabic keyboard.
please let me know how to add a keyboard, or do i have to download a keyboard as an app?
Search in Play Store for Swiftkey 3, it's a custom keyboard that lets you switch the language indpendent of the OS language.
