You are better off buying an underwater video camera.
yeah you are probably right... lol....
Seido just put a new waterproof case on their website I think its called the "obex". Looks very similar to the life proof cases . To bad its only for the s3 at this the it looks like.

You can buy a cheap camera setup that will do your videos from a multitude of online sources. I used to have and use an old sony handycam 8mp version and an underwater case that I used on my deep dives and wreck dives. The camera AND case cost me under $250.00
There is a place you send your phone to and they do waterproof your phone for a fee and send it back. Phone does not have to be in a case and looks stock. I remember seeing videos on it. They apply a nano-coating to electronics, making them water safe. Its the coating they put on the I5 when doing the drop test comparison against the s3 into the pool. Stupid biased comparisons. Here is two companies that offer it. You can be the guinea pig and let us know how well it works LOL.

While these APPEAR to be a good idea, however neither one of them would be suitable for what the OP is looking for. If your just wanting a coating to protect your device on a "just in case," idea, then by all means get this done to your phone, myself though, I go through enough phones that I wouldn't be able to do this at a viable means.
(General lay mans terms being used here.) One of the main reasons for the case is that when you get to +2 atmospheres (or about 20 feet under water), the pressure starts to try to push out (evacuate) all air and compress things. Without the case, the device would crush in on itself from pressure.
Again though getting a 5 atm proof case for the skyrocket would be near of negligible to the functionality of the device. You would be much better served to get an actual underwater camera case and a good but inexpensive camera. (matched of course).
Go pro 250 dive housing <---nesessary 50 boom prob solved and cheap and good quality and relatively cheap accessories. I wouldn't trust the coating due to salinity of the ocean and the possibility of not 100%of the parts getting coated 100%.

Two pieces of plastic and all the waterproof membranes. You're paying for the R&D as well as the quality nof a name brand. It's cheaper than the otterbox armor cases go for as well as lifeproof cases. If it's too much buy a cheap one from ebay and after you submerge it in water and your phone is garbage buy a more expensive case for your new phone.

If you have a couple of days to read this, here is my thoughts (LOL)...
Well, you are correct there is never a 100% guarantee, even if 99% of the units work great 1% might have problems. It reminds me of the S4 Active. The difference is that $90 for this case is a lot cheaper than taking the same gamble for a $600 phone. At least that is the way I look at it.
I'm just looking to use the case as a "what if" type of protection. Hopefully, it will be a lot better than that. I hope it will be good enough to take into the water and take pictures with or drop the phone from chest-pocket high and not have a scratch, but I'm not going to expect it to be that good until I test it to that point...slowly. The case's rating is better than the rating of the S4 Active, but that is only as good as the smallest defect might let it be.
I have square trade insurance, but I would rather not use it. I don't want to take the chance of getting a phone with MF3 as a replacement or even having to re-setup a phone that has MDL. To me, the $90 is worth the extra protection. So even if it doesn't stand up to the ideal standard, it will still be worth it for the extra protection is does give.
You see, I know the case I have on the phone now will not protect it as good as the OBEX will... I currently use the Seidio Surface and it is a real good case, but even if it only lives up to half of the hype the OBEX will protect it better.
Again, it will be a "wait and see" situation as to how good it will work. Maybe I won't throw it in the water right away, but it is nice to know if I accidentally drop it in the water that it should help.
One of the major things I want to know is how well it will handle heat displacement. Under normal conditions, my phone never gets real hot, but in my ibolt car cradle, charging with the sun hitting it through the windshield and using Navigation, it is a different story. I want to see how it handles those situations. So for me, inside forces are going to be more interesting than how it protects from outside forces. But, I will report what I find out.
I like the previous poster's thought process. I have a S4 with ATT and bought the S4 Active the third day it came out. I never used it outside of the house because there were no cases etc for it. After a week or so I started seeing reports of issues. Since I spent $640 on that phone, I thought I could do everything right with this phone and still have it get ruined by using it in a manner that they promote. I returned it after a week.
I then bought the Lifeproof case for my iphone 5 and it was amazing. I was taking pictures and video in the pool! My wife has a S3 and we bought her a Lifeproof case for our beach vacation. I was great having our phones (left my S4 at home) on the beach and the sand and in the water. Of course we tested the cases first underwater without the phones like they recommend.
I will seriously look at the Obex for the S4. The S3 model was too big and they say they have slimmed down the S4 model. $90 is great for the peace of mind near the pool or water which we are almost daily living in Dallas. Not sure I would leave it on all the time but surely on the weekends so hopefully it is fairly easy to put on and remove.
With the money from returning my s4 Active I got a S4 Google Play edition which is an amazing device! That is another post though...

Thanks.
I have the ST warranty as well on my S4 and my wife's S4 Active. I do like the idea of being able to take pictures under water, but the biggest benefit for me would be the dust proofing. I can't stand the lint from jeans pockets mixing with skin oils and getting jammed in every nook and cranny on a phone. It is gross, and eventually eats away at the finish.
I do understand the fact that we would be paying for R&D, and I am no enemy of companies making a profit, but from the consumer side (at least from my point of view) $80 is a bit steep for a couple pieces of plastic that 'may' protect your phone under water.

It is a lot especially since I already payed a good amount for an Otterbox. But my daughter put a cup of juice on my night stand once while I was sleeping didnt know it was there and knocked it over on my droid 2 and it ruined it. I went 4wheeling with my s2 and sunk my quad with my phone in my pocket in a river and it was done for a week and then I was lucky enough it worked again but after a few months started having problems. So its worth it to me that I know if something haopens my phone will be ok. And its cheaper than paying for insurance and a deductible if my ohone got destroyed.

True.. however don't you also need the insurance in addition to this case if you live such an active lifestyle?
I am not knocking the need for the case. I just don't see the company selling all that many at that price tag. Surely they could easily cover R&D with quantity. There's maybe $5 in materials in it... purely from a business standpoint, for a more attractive price they can lure people away from the cheap knock-offs.
the case does look pretty solid, though. I doubt there will be many complaints about the quality.

I see your point brother, but I know I'm getting it after I see a third party stress test it before I pay for it.
I work for a cell company and the case we sell the most is the lifeproof and the Atlas (also $89.99 price tag) , and at least 50% of my s3/4 customers want that option, of course I live in a rural state so lots of hunters and outdoorsy types, but point is there is a demand for them, I want mine for the waterproof, me and friends regularly go to the river on days off.

I've got my S4 in the Seidio Surface and with the Convert for outdoors etc. Would love to get the OBEX for those water days, but being that summer is almost over and wont see much water here in NY except for rain and snow I'm having a hard time justifying another $90 for case and holster when I already have 2. All I'd be adding is waterproof. My Convert already protected me from a 6 ft drop to cement floor.
Also thinking for those that are planning this as weekend case, what effect adding and removing the case so many times will do to its waterproof capabilities.
I just got an email saying my case has been shipped. Hopefully it has actually been shipped and not just a label made up waiting to be shipped next week like they originally said. I would like to get it before Wednesday because I'm going to the shore for a few days. It would be nice to have it.

I found this on Amazon, i can post links yet. But does anyone have experience with this brand on previous devices. Its on preorder for 14.95, regular 79.95. I thought i would give it a try since lifeproof has no plans for making a case for the note 4, according to there reply to user inquiry on facebook.
I asked that question too and got some not to good replies. On Ghostek. They seem to sell a lot of other companies cases just rebranded is what I took from it.

This case looks badass. But it really urges not to submerge which is probably the only reason I'd buy a water resistant case :/
I've had the case yesterday, left it submerged in water about 1 foot deep, all night! With some tissue paper inside and no water got in.
The case is cheaply built hence the price, and you can barely hear through the ear piece, but works OK on speaker phone. Only wanted it as an occasional case if I know I'm going to be in a wet environment. In the meantime I'll be waiting for UK supplier for SUPCASE waterproof.

Did you ever get to use it underwater? Did you shoot any video? I would like to use this at a water park. I bought the ghostek for my note 4 & it appeared to be working fine. However, I recently caught it leaking water in a 4th test I conducted. When I submerged it, I immediately noticed tiny bubbles escaping from the flip cover at the bottom. My Spen was wet. Now, I am hesitant to use it as a cheap alternative to a GoPro. Also, the responsiveness of the screen underwater is very hit or miss. Very difficult to get the camera button to operate. Thanks in advance.
Yes I've used it underwater pleanty of tines. Never leaked. Only thing that annoys me is the ****ty sound that comes with all underwater cases

Wildtek Waterproof Case/Pouch for Note 4 extremely in depth VIDEO REVIEW + GIVEAWAY.

Just finished an excessively in depth video review of the Wildtek waterproof case. Let me know if you guys have any questions about the case or if you want to see more reviews like this.
There's also a giveaway to go along with the review. Wildtek hooked me up with 9 cases for the giveaway. You have until April 5th to enter. Watch the end of the video or read the description on YouTube for giveaway details.
EDIT: A few quick clarifications:
-As some of the xda members have correctly pointed out, while the official labeling from the manufacturer for this product is “case”, it is a pouch.
-This case/pouch is not to be confused with the cheap $5 to $10 case/pouches found on Amazon like the Joto or similar. The key difference is that the vast majority are made out of PVC which will harden and start to break into pieces after a few months to a year (see amazon reviews). The Wildtek case is made out of TPU which is why it cost $20 instead of $5 or $10. For a full explanation of the difference see the video.
-This is the only case/pouch I could find that has damage reimbursement in their warranty. If your phone gets water damage while using this case they’ll replace your phone. See video for more details on that.
-This case/pouch is waterproof to 100+ft underwater, but they advertise it as 30ft because many phones will crack under the pressure when you get to that depth. The company didn’t want to mislead scuba divers by making them think their phones would be fine at that depth. You can, however, take things like your wallet scuba diving with this case. This information was given to me by the CEO of Wildtek after I contacted them with some questions about the materials and IP rating.
-I wasn’t given the cases to do the review. I finished most of the review first, then asked if they’d be interested in sending me some cases to do a giveaway (otherwise I would have just bought one extra case/pouch myself for the giveaway). Fortunately, they sent nine.
-Again, don’t mistake this for the cheap, hard plastic (PVC) pouch you may have bought in the past. I’ve used those and agree entirely that they are terrible and not worth the investment or risk.
-I hope that clears things up

I'd like to know how this company is allowed to call this a case.
Also, about the touchscreen sensors, I used that blue painter's masking tape to remove dust from my screen when applying a new screen protector. You wouldn't believe the screen's touch sensors continued to work flawlessly with tape covering my screen. I navigated through my Note 4 as if nothing was on the screen.

Oh yeah, the touch screen is amazingly sensitive. If you really want to be blown away by the sensitivity pull down your notification shade, expand to see all of the toggles, then enable "touch sensitivity". It allows you to use the touchscreen with most types of gloves on as if your not even wearing the gloves. I was even able to use the touchscreen perfectly fine though a pretty thick stack of post-it notes. This phone is absolutely amazing. :good:

This is true. Direct from Whitestone it was like $30. (Regularly more, supposedly). They shipped fast and it came intact and not broken, so there's that.
Trust everyone that says to get a whitestone dome. Best quality, and application available. Period.
Don't worry about the price, because it includes lifetime warranty. Screen breaks, you send a picture as proof, and they send you a new one for $10. For life.
The problem with the hole is cleaning. You'll find it hard and you'll be much more likely to scratch the display... and camera shooting surface.
If you cover it you will degrade the image to some extent but probably quit small.
Most high quality plastic protectors like Gorilla IQ Sheild also have a hole (although I would prefer they not!). However their thickness is less than their glass counterparts so it's easier to clean. The wet apply ones are much easier to apply and remove than glass ones. The IQ Sheild typically has a half year lifespan and costs a few dollars.
Even after close to a year was still almost clear when removed.
So there's that...

Yeah I purchased directly from drop shipping offshore Whitestone.
They were a complete fubar.
Sent me an open box special at full price for my 10+; right box, tray but the glass was for a fking Apple model.
No phone support, slow response and made me ship the unless one back even after photos. No doubt to be repackaged yet again.

It was direct from the Whitestone website.
I got the receipt.
Don't even try to mince my words... you do understand English and coherent sentences, right?
