I was wondering if I can hook up the 7.7 to my TV using a special HDMI cable from Samsung so that I can watch my 1080p .mkv movies from my 7.7 tab onto my TV.
I don't see any cable for this when I did the search.
Look for the cable for the 8.9 or 10.1. It should work.
Yes, the adapter for the Tab 8.9 and 10.1 works - I use it with my 7.7 - should have a youtube demo showing that up soon.

Where can I find this adapter? Can you give me a specific link? I looked on Ebay but I am not sure if that specific one will work or not.

I have S2, S3 and tab... I have to buy 3 adaptors... beginning to feel something shouldn't be done this way
Can anything be done about the HDMI lag? It makes 'twich gaming' via Wiimote practically impossible.
Rodney
I bought the multimedia dock on ebay it has a mini hdmi out port and it also charges up your tab or you can plug an on-the-go adapter and a thumb drive or usb hub

Is there a hdmi cable that doesn't need the tablet to be powered during use ? (as the RIM Playbook)
I just tried to do this with my RCA out cable from my og galaxy tab last night and it won't work. I'll be purchasing this cable you linked very soon. Thanks for the info!

For the better, because Samsung Galaxy S doesn't support HDMI over the usb connection. Read the other thread
Yeah, is not possible, and has been confirmed multiple times. Shame!

Can you connect nexus s to the tv like vibrant either hdmi or from the 3.5 jack and how about wii mote will it work
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Hdmi out? No. Tv out via 3.5? Possibly, might want to try to ask some sites that already have the phone. Someone said wiimote will work since it has 2.1 bluetooth.

its best to ask a site with the NS to test the vibrants hdmi out cable and see if it will work i have not seen any info about that outside of it not having an hdmi connector on-board

I doubt it with the initial release. It's possible if they release a rev 2 version, but right now there is no type of hdmi out on the phone from watching the videos and looking at the pictures.
How about DLNA?
Hey,
any progress in this? I would like to buy Nexus S, but HDMI is a wanted feature. Have anyone tried that Samsung HDMI-microUSB cable?
Cheers Jakoob

Monoprice.
I was wondering if there are and android sticks with a scart connector.
Since I have a very old TV and getting one with a HDMI connector isn't an option for me I was hoping if there is a product like this.
If So, what are the costs of this product.
The ones I've seen So far are all HDMI.
I am aware that there are HDMI to SCART cables but they are a bit to expensive.
Thanks in advance

no offence dude but if you can afford a pc, an internet connection, a mini pc, power to power it, you can afford to buy a $2/£2 hdmi-scart adaptor from ebay :good:

Sorr mate but the ones I saw earlier were 50€ or higher.
Thanks for the link

Yes, that cable will not work - converting HDMI to scart is not that simple. Best bet is to get the stick with the a/v output I mentioned above....

i was really just using that link as an example , the proper cable should be there somewhere, and are you sure it wont work? im sure ive used a xbox360 converter before with no probs on an old tv at my sisters
edit: if the cable above is wrong as mentioned then jetfin's option probably seems the easiest route.
however i cant find any support for this device so if you do run into a problem which lets face it with these sticks you probably will at some point, theres not gonna be much help.
also something to note :c+p'd from the website
"""""Now on to the less than stellar bit. The camera. We were all excited because we thought we’d found a bargain basement way to add Skype video calling to our TV (compared to products like the Logitech Skype camera which costs hundreds of dollars). But to our dismay Skype refused to work with the dongle, and not only Skype. We tried Tango too, and even Google Talk failed to load. So it looks like there’s either a) a bug in the firmware or b) the thing is designed not to let you access the camera via a video chat application.
It totally ruins the point of having a camera in the device, what else are you going to do, photograph (or video) yourself sitting on the couch? Not really, eh?"""""
360 outputs in interlaced too. I'm guessing you would need to have a deinterlacer too. There is a hdfury that converts to VGA then you could VGA> to rgb thru a deinterlacer prob only cost couple of hundred quid lol

Or this Samsung Multimedia Dock
I just got one. It is nice as it is a stand too. Just when in the stand the screen is portrait, not landscape but videos show in the correct orientation.
If you TV supports uPnP you can just share whatever you are watching to the TV.

I bought the hdmi dock for the Galaxy Tab 1 which can be purchased for about $8.00. I took a hacksaw to the side since our Tab is a little wider and whala, it works perfectly. No need to spend &25-$50 on the adapter.
