For the better, because Samsung Galaxy S doesn't support HDMI over the usb connection. Read the other thread
Yeah, is not possible, and has been confirmed multiple times. Shame!

Seriously?! No offend, but do you have a clue what kind of connection you have on your G2?? And do you have a clue what that cable is?? LoL
To answer your question, NO. That is a micro HDMI cable. It is NOT possible. G2 doesn't have micro HDMI port. Only micro USB.

I'm thinking that someone who doesn't know the difference between micro hdmi/usb might also not understand your syntax for "does not equal"?

ouch guys harsh lol.
** Nope you cannot sorry I wast thinking about this the other day and I was like wait, its a G2.... -_- talk about lame, I wish it could though.
Being one who shops for cables on Amazon, I can say that a few I've come across have been named and or detailed wrong.
This cable could be micro USB to HDMI but ya, not aware of that working.
Besides, the desire z has dlna support. (Which is something I would like to see in cm)
Why worry about cables?

in the Desire Z video there is a "Media Link" Cable also. and the specs are the same between the 2

I was wondering if I can hook up the 7.7 to my TV using a special HDMI cable from Samsung so that I can watch my 1080p .mkv movies from my 7.7 tab onto my TV.
I don't see any cable for this when I did the search.
Look for the cable for the 8.9 or 10.1. It should work.
Yes, the adapter for the Tab 8.9 and 10.1 works - I use it with my 7.7 - should have a youtube demo showing that up soon.

Can anything be done about the HDMI lag? It makes 'twich gaming' via Wiimote practically impossible.

I bought the multimedia dock on ebay it has a mini hdmi out port and it also charges up your tab or you can plug an on-the-go adapter and a thumb drive or usb hub

I'm thinking of getting a HDMI-out cable for the Nexus 4, which I believe is called a Slimport adaptor.? I've looked online and only found one on Amazon which was quite pricey. There were a few others called 'Micro USB MHL to HDMI' which at first glance appear to be the same - one Micro USB side, one HDMI side. Are these the same thing, and should they work?
I'm in the UK, so if anyone spots anything suitable please let me know.
Have a search. Theres about 4 threads looking at slimport, mhl, or comparing the two.
Thanks. I found one topic but it was inconclusive.

I was wondering if there are and android sticks with a scart connector.
Since I have a very old TV and getting one with a HDMI connector isn't an option for me I was hoping if there is a product like this.
If So, what are the costs of this product.
The ones I've seen So far are all HDMI.
I am aware that there are HDMI to SCART cables but they are a bit to expensive.
Thanks in advance

no offence dude but if you can afford a pc, an internet connection, a mini pc, power to power it, you can afford to buy a $2/£2 hdmi-scart adaptor from ebay :good:

Yes, that cable will not work - converting HDMI to scart is not that simple. Best bet is to get the stick with the a/v output I mentioned above....

i was really just using that link as an example , the proper cable should be there somewhere, and are you sure it wont work? im sure ive used a xbox360 converter before with no probs on an old tv at my sisters
edit: if the cable above is wrong as mentioned then jetfin's option probably seems the easiest route.
however i cant find any support for this device so if you do run into a problem which lets face it with these sticks you probably will at some point, theres not gonna be much help.
also something to note :c+p'd from the website
"""""Now on to the less than stellar bit. The camera. We were all excited because we thought we’d found a bargain basement way to add Skype video calling to our TV (compared to products like the Logitech Skype camera which costs hundreds of dollars). But to our dismay Skype refused to work with the dongle, and not only Skype. We tried Tango too, and even Google Talk failed to load. So it looks like there’s either a) a bug in the firmware or b) the thing is designed not to let you access the camera via a video chat application.
It totally ruins the point of having a camera in the device, what else are you going to do, photograph (or video) yourself sitting on the couch? Not really, eh?"""""
360 outputs in interlaced too. I'm guessing you would need to have a deinterlacer too. There is a hdfury that converts to VGA then you could VGA> to rgb thru a deinterlacer prob only cost couple of hundred quid lol

Its not the wrong connection, the female micro USB part is where your charger plugs into to give power
And the big female USB is where you plug in flash drives etc...
And what do you mean "not a Samsung type of port"

Haha no worries
I really wish the N4 does supports an actual port for flash drives or any other kind of USB
It really defeats the purpose of having OTG
Good thing I got a portable solar powered external battery to plug into

Believe it only affects the pinout for MHL though, so OTG should work fine. Not 100% sure though since a friend with an S3 ran into issues with an OTG cable I gave him.
