After leaving work yesterday, as I walked out the door, I turned down the Vol on my music on the phone, the Vol rocker came off
I couldn't find it, I guess I need to buy a new battery case now then huh?
Not a big deal but irritating!
Htc will replace it for free. They are known to have button issues. Call htc usa directly granted ur in the states.

yeah i can imagine. i really like the sensation but my xe sometimes creakes like no other phone i've had before. build qualitys a bit meh.......

SAme here, I love my Sensation but it isn't as well built as my old Desire.

Well I went to HTC Customer Services and was in Live Chat with someone from HTC.
He took my details and said that he'd pass my 'claim' onto the escalation department and they'll make a decision about it and either send me a new batter case or not...
I'm still thinking of buying a white one from ebay as it's the smexiest thing I've ever seen, then I might have two hehe

I've got the XE with the black housing and white. I've get the creaking on my black housing as I have taken it out of the housing many times.

Lucky guy. Also happy to see T-Mobile actively supports the development community which leads me to believe that they won't block the S-OFF roll out from HTC.

Dunno. Coming from my n1 running cm7 I don't miss it. Apps like feedr go poof, weak camera, poor corporate network support. All things that just work on the sensation stock rom. With the exception of nandroid there's not
A thing I need root for. On the n1 I needed it to work around all the limitations of the various roms out there, not the case with the sensation.

Contract is up, been offered an HTC sensation for £21per month, 24 month contract, 600min, 500mb, unlimited texts. Highly tempted, but the phones been out for a while now and I know others with much better processors will be out soon. What to do!? Would you guys still recommend this phone at this time?

Depends, the new phones that do come out will probably be quite expensive at launch.
But that should push the price of the Sensation down further. The contract you're being offered is pretty good though.
I do recommend the Sensation but if I were you, I'd wait a few weeks and see if the price drops further with the launch of new devices.
Thanks for your message, I've been with my HTC Desire for a while now, the Sensation should be quite an upgrade anyway. Any major disadvantages of the Sensation compared with other phones? Most reviews I read are quite generic.
you should wait man the sensation has death grip issues also dust under the screen and overheating issues the phone is also bulky wait quad core phones are about to release.

I have just upgraded from my beloved desire to the sensation XE. I thought about waiting but then the sensation seems to do well in reviews etc. I didn't want to wait for something that could be rubbish!

My worst problems include that the screen can be scratched despite being gorilla glass and the back cover has HTC glued on and some people have had it fallen off. Plus the new phones may have quad core but that just means more battery usage plus who on here other devs are gonna use/need 4 cores?

I never buy phones right after they're released, they are usually overpriced at the launch. £21 is a good offer but if money is not an issue for you I'd go for galaxy nexus. Prices are already down and you can get a good deal. Quad core is just a gimmick, you'll not even notice a difference.
So I just got my new sensation today and straight away ive flashed rcmix sense 3.6 but now ive started to use it ive noticed the screen has a really bad green tint on the screen
Just to make sure I put it side by side with my dhd and noticed a huge difference, the dhd screen is miles better, the sensation screen looks green and washed out
Should I just send it back or am I missing something here?

I found that out in the end after ages searching but its been cancelled and going back so im going to have a look at some in a store a grab one with a sharp panel

I tried earlier roms and ics and hated it, really bad color reproduction, defo grabbing a new one lol
if you just hate the blue tint when you are using a ics sense3.6 rom, take a look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497740
I had one that went bad a week ago, it wasn't from rooting it but it was from taking the battery out rapidly in a matter of a few seconds. I got a new screen though luckily through warranty for free ;P.
Well in the end I went through 2 contract phones and looked at 8 second hand ones before I found the one I have now which is a sharp screen and it looks great :-D
As for the earlier suggestion about rcmix, I had the same color issues with a stock rom

My coworker just got a phone that looks like an Iphone 4s but its an android.
When I looked at the back of the phone it has "PG58130" for the P/N... when I google it, it comes up as the HTC Sensation and brings me here..
Even the phone is stamped on the inside battery slot with "HTC Sensation".
is this where I go for modifications for it?

People, it's not a Sensation, and there's no way in hell it has a Sensation's insides. Odds are, it's got limited ram and a 600ish Mhz processor - likely older, weaker, than today's standards. It's just a cheap KIRF.

Neither One X, One S or even GS3 are worth upgrade from Sensation tbh. Might as well sit it out till Xmas or March next year. And i'd avoid tegra3.
There won't be anything worth the upgrade until next year at least on T-Mobile. Unless the OneX+ comes but it's not going to happen

Opinions are like... Well you know... And I'm offing this thing ASAP to get a note 2. Easily a worthy upgrade. As far as on topic, as has been said maybe for a one x but one s just disappointed the hell out of me. First smart phone I ever had was HTC and every one since; but they need to open their eyes. This year was an abysmal failure by HTC. Especially for tmo customers. I honestly want to know who thought no removable memory/battery was a good idea. When's the last time you heard someone say "this phone is great but I just wish they would lock the battery up and not let me expand the memory." Just because Iphone does it doesn't mean it's right. I'd be hard pressed to even find an Iphone user that didn't want to take the battery out and expand the memory. That's not even a feature, it's a lack of a feature. 2 at that.

I wouldnt lol. I'll still keep my Sensation and just get another device. With Sensation's removable battery and microsd card, my Sensation can be media device for my car.
The problem with the note II is that if I wanted a tablet I'd just get a tablet. Its size is just too large to carry as a phone.
