Inspire 4g successor??

Do you guys think the inspire 4g phone will have a upgrade/successor? Its a good phone but it can use upgrades.

Really only LTE. I think it has a higher resolution screen too, but I'd still get the GS2.

But Samsung phones look and feel like Mattel made them :/

I actually like their builds .

I just got my lady the Infuse4g and it seems like a nice phone, but too light for me. I like my inspire a bit too much.

Love the Inspire 4g, but am ready for a upgrade without too much change. Make sense?

I've heard that the 4.7" HTC Runnymede (only name I've heard so far) could possibly be making its way to AT&T after being released in Europe for a few months first. Kinda like the same thing they did with the DesireHD before the Inspire came to the U.S.A.

The sensation xl looks awesome but only single core. But thats probably still heaps of cpu grunt

My thoughts exactly

I just want an HTC phone with build quality like the Inspire, HD resolution, dual core and a decent sized battery. I love the specs on the Galaxy Nexus but I will never buy another Samsung product.

I heard a while back about an "Inspire HD". I think it was on Android Central. I've never seen anything else about it, though.

I don't know much about the Slide 4G but from what I've seen I would trade it for a Sensation in a heartbeat. I despise slide out keyboards. I know lots of people like them but I can't stand the way they make a phone feel in my hand. Because the Sensation's screen is larger I don't have any issues with typing on the touchpad. The Sensation feels like such a premium device. The camera from the Amaze has been ported to the Sensation so it's not like the Slide has that advantage, really. I would make the trade but I don't know a ton about the Slide. Anyone else out there that does?

i have to agree with you there. slide, amaze and sgs2 havent had so many devs working on roms, so i say yes to switching to the sensation unless you want to wait for galaxy nexus

I am usimg a Galaxy SII right now it is very boring.
The Sensation has so much dev support.
I can't wait to get my Sensation back.

Only thing is that the MT4GS has a better camera with f2 and other stuff, compared to the Sensation's 8MP. But, it's true that Devs have no interest in the MT4GS or Tmobile's "SGSII"(most likely due to CPU?). These phones have very poor support and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone wanting ROMs.
P.S. No offense to the Devs of the those phones

You should defiantly trade phones if you care about development, I want a sensation for the same reason. I was considering the Amaze but development isn't as rapid.

Only if it has been within 30 days...Otherwise this type of switch only happens when tmo if out of stock os slides then they offer a comparable phone. If the phone was broken under warranty they'll exchange it thru asurion and give you another phone. You could sell it in the XDA market place, ebay, or craiglist(dangerous!).

You'll have to sell unless you can find someone here on XDA willing to trade it. Getting it through a warranty is tricky since they need to be out of stock and what not.

Ok I went to tmobile to exchange this but she said I have to call customer care
So how should I do that and if I tell them to give me a sensation will they

well my time has come.........i enjoyed my sensation for 5 months and now i just ported ways back to an iphone 4.........i thank everyone who helped me out throughout my time with this forums.......
the htc sensation was a great phone.......htc androids has evolved a lot from my first ownage (mt4g) it was a great new experience but i just couldnt handle without my iphone....... who knows though......im still thinking of getting an amaze 4g since my contract is up soon.....

Don't blame ya for going with iPhone 4S, actually all my lines bieng ported to Verizon for my family members. I'm the only one left on tmobile , i just don't like ios its boring.

yeah, I was in the same boat.
I was greatly anticipating Iphone 5 but, it turned out it did...
if the 4s came out with a bigger screen and larger ram I might still have thought about the switch.
of course I would have jailbroken it as soon as I got it to liven it up a bit.
iOS as it is is a pretty much a snorefest.
but now with ICS coming, think I'm sticking with Android.
have too much invested in Google's products anyway.
anyway, good luck with it mate. come back and visit us.

OP - I see. I also owned iPhone before I moved to Android and must admit that iPhone has got it´s magic. But I personally can´t imagine moving from 4,3" to 3,5". I play with my colleague´s iPhone 4 and the display looks so tiny

We all need a good cry sometimes...Especially us guys! Makes me feel better when I get turned upside down and then break down into tears...As long as no one saw.
All the iphone has going for it is looks and ease of use. Nothing looks as nice as those iphones do, and nothing is as easy to use. That ease of use ALSO is what makes it boring. It spoon feeds you.

Development

Well this day came alot sooner than it did with my htc glacier, development is all but dead, I'm not chasing any more phone hardware upgrades, that's what's good about an HTC phone as long as spec wise you can push it you can always load up the latest android sense version or port... And you got cm7/aosp also with HTC phones but you'll find it Damn near impossible to load a sense Rom on a aosp phone, not really sure what I made this thread for just to say the grass ain't always greener on the other side, stick with the sensation it is truely an amazing phone... One more thing when does cm7 nightlies start?

Some devs have left, yes, but that's the nature of the beast. But that doesn't mean development is dead. It's slowed down a bit since there hasn't been any new leaks.

I believe everyone has the same thoughts on this...Why is this funny? Where is the hilarity in a statement like that which is a majority of phones on here? Plus he should have done the chrome mod to bang that in there too

I think the joke here is on the OP!

I think the joke lies in the statement "it now has a 1.5 processor" majority people that dont know root, or know the meaning of it will read it as he upgraded the processor to 1.5, not Over clock it, when you read it in that type of sense its kinda funny

Finally someone with some humor
He's essentially saying the Sensation magically turns into the Sensation XE, b/c of a ROM & CPU bump, when in reality the phone is still a Sensation as before. Such magical transformations are only possible on apple products adding to the irony of that listing.

But the XE is basically a ROM and CPU bump, so that ad seems spot on.

Well considering that the CPU is actually underclocked out of the box. It actually is a dual 1.5 speed chip, so when we bump it up we are actually setting it to the speed it was made for. I see nothing wrong with the Craigslist post.

nothing is funny about that ad at all. xe is basically the og sensation just not underclocked and includes that "beats" technology that they didnt include on the sensation
