Yeah it is, it doesn't show in the launcher though. I gather from the almost unintelligible post that if you redownload it, it will work. However I (and probably you) have the free version so thats likely not possible.

The version that many of us downloaded from EA when NFS Shift was free does not show in the game launcher. The free promotion ended, I am assuming you paid for it? There is no way for anyone with the free version to redownload the game without paying for it.
Hello guys. I downloaded NFS Shift yesterday from the Google Playstore (android market) but the version I got is not optimized for the xperia play. Fortunately I've been able to get refunded.
Still, I want to get this game, and I want the optimized version for xperia play gamepad.
My question is: where can I get the right xperia play version? Apparently the game is also available from the PlayNow launcher, but there are several choices for this very same game :-/ So confusing! Plus I'm not sure I can be refunded if I by the wrong version from this store..

EA Flexion Store which other EA games should link you too in the Xperia Play Launcher. Most of the games like dead space/Bad company/Dark and NFS Shift are Xperia Play Optimized if buy from there.

Baaaah, too bad, the game is not in the list when you try to get it from the launcher... Has it been removed? Or is it just available for R800x (USA) owners, and not for R800i (EU) owners?!
Therefore, only the version 1.73 is available from the Google Play Store. And this version is not optimized for the gamepad.
Fortunately, the right version (v1.1.0) which is optimized for Xperia Play is indeed available from the EA Flexion Store. But is it a reliable market? I cannot find any information regarding this website on Internet, and you have no contacts of information link on the website itself. Weird. I am not so confident to purchase from there...

Its EA's own store so it is reliable. Think you pay by text as i can remember when brought optimized dead space. Have never tried to re-download from as use TB to back up most of my stuff or if not rooted use this to grab yourself a copy of the apk (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5leHRyYWN0LmFwayJd) you should be able to also try before you buy (around 30-60mins). Hope this helps.

Yes the PlayStation store for xperia play has been leaked. And now it seems sony has made it so UK accounts work to.

So we have playstation pocket, the xperia play store and the PSN store. Why so many different stores for? Seriously who at sony came up with this?

I think the problem they have is that there is the Sony Ericsson/ Sony Computer Entertainment and Android market.
But now Sony has given Ericsson the boot, things should start to be consolidated into one store.

That's good news, this is the first step for the PLAY to become a true PlayStation Phone. When The PS Suite launch officially (on spring next year) it will be the PS-Phone we always wanted. Oh and ICS on the way too, next year is going to be fun.

If you follow the news about PlayStation Vita, you may heard that it's launching in Japan without the ability to play PSone classic initially. This functionality is suppose to come later on, presumably before US/EU launch date.
I think PSVita is going to use the same format of PSone gmaes used for the PLAY and SONY tablets. The old format will be phased out with time.
That's why PSvita is not launching with it, I think they are currently working to convert most of PSone games available for PSP & PS3 to the new format and test the compatibility, and working with original IP holders & publisher to extend the licenses to cover the new PS Suite certified devices (remember there will be other certified devices by other manufacturers in the future -not only Sony- and the old license acquired form publishers doesn't cover them) Securing the right to republish & emulate old games is not easy process, you can check here for more info at PlayStation.Blog
The question is... Are we still going to pay again for the new license when the app launch officially for the PLAY? well, I don't know & I hope not, but
I think most likely it will remain a separate purchase. The best thing they can do is to offer a big discount if you have the same game tied on your PSN account. So it's not buying the game again, more of "upgrading" the game to cover more devices.
The uncertainty of it all caused me to put a halt on purchasing any new PSOne Classics because I didn't want to have to buy everything over again. I just wish they'd announce what they intend to do.
Still waiting for ps1 classic games like MGS, Tekken 3, Gran Turismo, etc etc...

Now, in this thread, people have said that this new apk (is this one the same as the one yifanlu put up) works with UK accounts, does UK include Ireland?

I tried it, What I did was open Chainfire 3D use the tergra files, Made sure "Disable MapBuffer emu" was ticked and then I loaded the game through 3D game converter.
EDIT: Hangs on just after burning car :/ Perhaps maybe it will work if we get a save file from just after the burning car?
I got a friend to send me a savegame after the first autosave and was able to load the save but the game still hangs after roughly the same amount of time of gameplay. Bit of a shame. Hopefully theyll update the game at some point to add support for us.

My LG Optimus 3D has the King 3D rom, a patch for overclocking it at 1.18 (and not 1.2 as the rom does... it solves some problem), chainfire 3D and the nvidia plugin.
installed the [email protected] apk, downloaded the sd files directly in-game, then reeboted and executed the game using the 3D game converter.
i also ticked "Disable MapBuffer emu" on the per-app settings inside chainfire3D. (not changes at all, ive simply tried to do as DyNaMiiTe as written...)
the game starts well, i can play for a while, but it's very laggy and sometimes freezes.
i think we have to wait for an updated version from rockstar...

Glad you that you finally found the app !
The message you get maybe its something to do with the region i.e. it was promoted only in some regions & not world over. Then the error message generally shouldn't be Device not supported. Strange it is . . .
But hey you should be connected to the net if you want to play the game. Was your WiFi/data network available when you tried to play ?
In my case I get a message stating something like 'Enough space not available on SD card to install the game' even though its installed.
But as soon as Internet is available to the device it runs pretty much without any issue.
So do try when net access is available & tell me if it works or not !

Hey buddy click on the 'Click On This' link( its a Samsungapps.com link) given in the Way 2 of my first post. Then click on the available devices link you'll see SGR in that list.
Oh yeah dude, I'm no stranger to gameloft games, I actually double checked, and it's for the SGS2 not the R, and the page you linked doesn't like china either, I guess it's because it hasn't been or will not be released here.
Can any of the native Chinese speakers confirm/refute this please, as it could also be due o my settings being borked from switching ROMs so many times and messing around with the CSC code (currently taiwan rom with that CSC and a china mobile SIM)

I am trying to get this game from past 3days but m not. I even checked on my fone and also through the way2 Option. i am not able to get it through both the ways. For the 2nd second it shows me Page not found error.
I desperately need this game. Any help is appreciated.

Download the apk in the post no. 6 / 10 of this XDA THREAD and install it should work.
If it doesn't tell me I'll upload the apk which is free for us.

Thanks mate for the reply but please upload the apk. as i installed the apk file, it again updated to latest version. If i cancel the updated, it just closes the App. so i think i cant find the app from this samsungApp application.
If you can provide the apk, it would be very helpful

I tried it out and it still throws up the 'your device is not supported' error - which rom/region are you using? Perhaps it is something to do with that ^.^

Thanks D.Spirit. Gameloft take a lot of stick but they are really good with the asphalt series. They just added a load more cars to Asphalt 7 yesterday. They even added a few to Asphalt 6 recently too.

Seems not to work on JB
It appears as "compatible" and lets you download it if you're on Jelly Bean / CM10 (I have Slimbean on at the moment and 480p Lupus kernel), but it won't work. Seems to get stuck after performing the licence check at the Gameloft logo.
Yeah, no more love from GL then. I guess I can live without their buggy IAP-infested games anyway

GL has done a tremendous job of supporting the PLAY all this time. So finally, when it looks like they've probably given up on it, their games are buggy and IAP infested?

GL actually still supporting our phone . Take a look at the screenshot . It's just one of their silly mistake . I will report back after i'm done downloading the game .

What font are you using? It looks nice. o.o
So it appears in the launcher... then some XP code is embedded in the game. But why the hell don't GL make it available to us without build.prop tweaks (which is a hassle) like Gangstar? Description of GV says it requires 2.3 and up yet we can't have it.
GL dropping support can't possibly be the reason since people who acquired the game illegally say XP support is embedded! Grrr!
XP gamepad is usable in the game . But still , it's too lag for me to play the game . Need to wait some more updates i guess .

I'm not really remember , but the font name is "DroidSans" if i guess correctly . You could find the font on UOT kitchen .

Maybe because it's still unstable for XP they didn't want to release the game for our phone on the first release . And i'm not really "illegally" owning the game because i downloaded the game using my sister s3 and ripoff the apk from that phone . xD
I finally downloaded this game legally by editing my build.prop to Xperia X10 then back to R800i. XP controls layout appears as everybody has already claimed but it lags and I can't play properly. With 245MB free RAM before starting is still crashes after just one run. VERY LOW graphics settings is actually already good, but it still lags. I think it's really time to 'up' the game.
