For a few months now my TF101 won't sync the time automatically anymore. It is set to do so by itself but it doesn't. After a few weeks the clock is off by a few minutes so I set it correctly by hand and the select the auto update option again but a few weeks later it's off again as if it hasn't synced once.
How can I fix this and how can I find out how often and more importantly when was the last time that my TF has synced automatically?
I'm on stock .23 DE Rom, rooted. Only customization is ADWLauncher EX and some widgets.
Please help, it's really annoying

Hi all, I got my Touch Pro few days ago, and one thing that bothers me alot is the time is WRONG!
I've set the timezone on my phone as GMT+10 Brisbane where there is no daylight saving apply. However, as soon as I connect the phone to my computer, it automaticlly +1 Hour, It is now displaying GMT+11 time, even if there is DST, it should be GMT+9 rather than GMT+11. Appointments that sync from PC to WM are all +1 hour too, IE if i keep using the wrong time, I'll still be right with appointments... WTF... eg. Current time is 10 and flight is 12, my phone actually displays as Current time is 11 and flight is 1pm! ROFL.
I've tried to install WMDST2008-1.CAB and update my outlook with Outlook Timezone Move.exe and still no sucess on the issue.
Can any one help?
Go into ActiveSync, Tools | Options.
Highlight your PC sync name, click Settings, then untick to sync date and time

Hey guys
I have a question with some of the stock HTC apps running in the background.
When I go into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Running
I see a couple of running apps that seem to be on all the time, such as Stocks, Peep, Flickr, Footprints, News etc
The problem is I don't use them unless I'm connected through Wi-Fi. (and even when I am, I still don't use the Footprints and Stocks app)
Of course I tried to force stop them, but they seem to turn themselves on again after awhile.
Is there any work around to this? I assume that they are "scheduled" to turn on to auto sync themselves, but I've already set the syncing period to once a day, still no dice. Is there a way to only have them run when I manually execute the app?
Also, my stock "mail" app (not Gmail) seems to have 1mb of data, which I clear to 0mb. When I check back again after a couple of hours, it's back to 1mb. How is this happening? I have not even connected to Wi-Fi over that period of a couple of hours.
Thanks in advance!
Hey guys,
I'm trying to stop my phone from using background data automatically before I turn on data (It costs alot per kb here).. I was wondering if you could offer me a hand. Note that I use Cyanogenmod (I'm not sure which version, I purchased it with this) I've installed TrafficInfo to monitor what's using data, and I've narrowed it down to just 2 apps left..
Calendar Sync Adaptor/Google Services Framework/Contacts Sync Adaptor
This is still using data frequently (2.8kb download/39kb upload since I booted 10mins ago) even though turned sync off. I've tried turning auto sync on and then unticking each option, and also I have tried turning auto sync just off.. neither seem to do the trick.
Maps [brut]
This one only uses 300bytes download/1.2kb upload when I turn the device on but I'd like to see it go anyway. I've installed a start up manager and removed maps from start up and it's still doing this.
So, any help with these 2 problems would be appreciated! Also I don't want to turn background data off because I still want to be able to use the market if I choose to
Cheers

Hi!
I really like using whatsapp and gmail on my desire S android phone.
There's just one problem...it doesn't check for new messages all the time.
As soon as I go and do something that requires internet on my phone, I get new messages/gmail-mails...but it doesn't automatically check it. I have checked these programs on the synchronisation tab (settings).
Is there a way to make your phone internet-connected at all times, which will probably resolve my not-instant-syncing problem.
Thanks!
i believe the most you can do is go to settings>accounts&sync and select background data and auto-sync
My Mate 9 is a set from Singapore telco and used in Singapore, so it had Google Play Store included.
Google Contacts sync worked fine for the first 1 year of use, never had to worry about it, it just worked in the background.
Then I noticed things were not quite right. (I sometimes add/edit contacts thru the phone, and sometimes I add/edit them thru my desktop browser via Gmail > Contacts.)
I noticed that if I manually did sync now, it would spin for about half minute, and the Last Synced time would update, as though successful, even though there was no effect. Changes did not go either way.
After Googling, I did these steps:
Main Settings > Apps.
three dots to show system apps
find "Contacts Storage" then "storage", then "clear app data".
This resulted in empty Contacts book. No change after repeated "sync now".
After a phone restart, the sync kind of worked, and I had Contacts in my phone populated again.
But I noticed now that changes are only going one-way, Add/Edit/Deletions do go from Google to phone, but changes do not go from phone to Google.
Do you think I should try removing the Google Account from the phone and re-adding it?
UPDATE: Without other changes, a few days later, I noticed that 2-way sync was working, although the sync latency seems longer than expected. In 2016, 2017, I was used to seeing a contact appear on my Whatsapp within 10 seconds of adding into Google Contacts via desktop browser. But now, it might take many minutes? hours?
