I have seen multiple sites who copy and paste my work to their site! If I do not approve of it, then do not do it! it will discourage me from adding updates since it is being used for their own benefits!

If you post my work without permission, don't expect updates!
I created an easy to use GUI program for the HTC Amaze and I decided to make one for the HTC Sensation. I am going to fix it and up and add more updates to it. You CAN place requests and I will try to fulfill it!
If this helped you out, Please press the thanks button and if you want, you can always donate!

Just a suggestion..... The flashtool for sony ericsson phones is really handy because it lets you put your kernels and recoveries and things in a folder, then when you select flash kernel/recovery in the programme it gives a list of all the files in the folder so you can choose which one to flash check it out and see what you think http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/ Maybe you can get some other ideas Thanks for this though it works awaesome

I didn't mean any particular boot animations or sounds, but an option so people can browse through their libraries and select it. Then it will flash it or put it in the correct folder. It seems to wary a little depending on which ROM you are on. If it's not to much hassle tho.

If you are able to find animations/sounds, pass it over my way and I will try to see how I can incorporate it. I am trying to expand my toolkit to other devices so I want the Toolkit to be device-specific rather than universal.

Thats a really good idea m8 well done . Wish I had thought of that. But to be honest I dont thik its as easy asa that to do as you would need all the RRU files ?.
Then again what do I know lol .

What is needed to bring it to stock? Just run an RUU and it will flash it back to stock? I can probably do that BUT RUU files are usually 300+ MB. So it will be a huge file.
If you just want to flash ROMs / Recoveries and not Radios, I would recommend using the HTC Dev method rather than S-Off. I warrantied my phone in to T-Mobile over 6 times using the HTC Dev method since we (HTC Amaze owners) do not have S-Off.

As of now, yes. The only thing that may not be the same is the kernel, but I doubt that. It should be 100% compatible. If not, I'll update it of course.

Is it possible to flash splash screens without S-OFF?
I hate the blindingly white HTC screen when powering up in darkness... If thats possible it might be a worthy addition to the tool, but I fear the splash stuff resides on the radio.

Depending on what I can upgrade to will affect where I'm going. I personally test all my builds. Typically I could use testers, but I run everything off my phone. That doesn't mean my work is bad, just can't get internet right now.

When i try to flash a recovery it says device not found and nothing happens?
Edit: Found the problem. After unlocking the bootloader it wiped everything and turned off usb debugging, that was why it couldn't see my phone
But now i have a new problem. i cannot enter the recovery after flashing it?
Edit2: Never mind figured it out

fix your connection then, install the correct usb drivers.
how is it supposed to flash a recovery to a device that is not properly connected?
I have been doing my stuff the manual way since I hit the android universe a bit over two years ago, and I'm generally skeptic to tools that attempt to do everything.
Just thought I'd try this one to flash recovery, just for the heck of it. I had already rooted a week ago, but held off on the recovery as the official CWM wasn't ready. One week without a decent recovery was enough. I used this tool to flash pauls interim recovery, and I have to say it was really simple and easy. (Alright, I read only first post, and didn't watch the video. I'm a guy after all, and user manuals are generally tossed aside )
Wondered why the download was so big tho... but a quick look through the folders revealed a good set of recoveries, a kernel and the HTC driver package.
Thanks to the author for a decent tool. It will no doubt help the n00b along just fine on his/her way to root and custom ROMs

With this tool, you can completely backup your device without root or unlocked bootloader.
I have tested it so far only with my Galaxy Nexus, but it should also work with other devices running Android 4.0+.
So you can unlock your bootloader without losing your data.
With version 1.1, not all parts of the program will be downloaded, only the necessary.
The most tools in the "Tools" section are for the Galaxy Nexus, but more devices will follow soon.
Now the final release of v2 is out!
The UI is complete, it's much easier to use.

Well...tried this on my GF's Droid Razr Maxx but all it did was display the adb.exe help text and then re-start. Does this util require an ADB connection? Or maybe anything else? I'm thinking some more info would be helpful...
Great idea, though -- I really hope it works.
Sent from my halfway-decent Acer A100 running WDS's JB with godmachine's kernel v1.3a cranked up to a sweet "battery life is for chumps" 1.5GHz using xda premium...like a boss!
I have fixed the problem.
The compiler has built crap.
And yes, it requires a ADB connection
I would like to see your source on this, is it possible to create a git?

Thank you
Maybe post it in the first post, as I am not the only one who will want to see the source on a developers forum

A simple gift for this wonderful promising tool...
Since this uses ADB, if adb.exe is not found, it would not give any error/information to the user, of what is happening. It will just exit to the menu. Thus, I have added some ADB detection in the script here. http://pastebin.com/mFXJ3w36
PS: If @Gigadroid would put this up on github, more expansion and contribution is expected.
hai Gigadroid,
can u explain more about each option? coz i a little bit confuse about option 3,4 and 5.
if i need to backup game apps and data saved, which one should i choice ?
sorry for my English.

UI for your tool
Where can I contribute a simple Windows WinForms based UI for your tool? I am envisioning a save folder for backups, a file selection for restore. Backup name with date and time in file name if so desired, custom file name, ADB existense check, all garnished with explanative messages and an interminent progress bar so as to not block the UI while performing backup or restore.
BTW I just tried it on my SGS2 a day I after I rooted it for backups and it work fine
Now if I could only see how in ADB a package list can be retrieved with friendly names (Don't tell me... let me learn alone)
Does it work with<strikethrough> ICS 4.0.3(galaxy S2)</strikethrough> or even Gingerbread 2.3.6 (Galaxy Y) ?

Option 3 is for backup device and app data.
That means when you restore you have only the system apps on your device.
The data of your apps is still present.
If you've done a mission in Dead trigger and install the app again, you're where you left off.
Option 4 is for backup your apps without data.
When you restore you aren't where you left off.
Option 5 is for backup music, pics, etc. hat are saved on your device
I would say you should choose 3 and 4, but with 1 you can do nothing wrong

Option 2 is the closest Option.
Is there a restore data ONLY button for a specific app?

Hi mate
Install HTC Sync Manager - available from HTC website.
I have Windows 8 64bit and all working for me. Using newtoroot X920d ROM (from Droid DNA thread) and see both internal and external SD storage on my phone.

So for us X920d users, just flash the ROM and then do we need to flash any of the update files?

Hello
I installed newtoroot's ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184706
In bootloader first did fastboot erase cache then fastboot flash boot boot.img taken from the ROM and last fastboot erase cache.
In TWRP Recovery I wipe cache, davlick and system and factory reset.
Then I flash the ROM - it takes a while to reboot phone so be patient. I didn't flash any update files. They are for different versions of the phone such as DNA Global and USA I think.
For more info and support refer to newtoroot's thread as I cannot take any credit for it.
Cheers

Sorry for the dumb question, first time to flash a custom ROM on HTC devices. How do I flash the file NOS_M7_v1.0.0_X920D_signed.zip?

1. Download the rom and copy to your phone (you've probably done this)
2. Download fastboot tools if you don't have them here
3. Extract the adb folder in the fastboot zip to somewhere (E.g. C:\adb)
4. Open the rom zip and extract the boot.img file to the adb folder
5. Connect your phone to your pc
6. Hold shift and right-click somewhere in the adb folder, select "Open command window here"
7. Restart your phone to bootloader, then select fastboot.
8. Type "adb devices" (don't type the " " for this or the others)
9. It should show your phone's serial number, if not download HTC Sync Manager and install
10. Type "fastboot erase cache"
11. Type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
12. Type "fastboot erase cache" again
13. Type "fastboot reboot recovery" to get to CWM or TWRP, whichever you have installed
14. Backup your system, data, and cache
15. Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, format system
16. Install the rom.
17. Reboot and leave it for 10 mins, it will stay on the HTC ONE screen for a while for the first boot
18. ???
19. Profit
Thanks you. Looks like I need a to get an SD card? I don't have SD cards anymore. lol.
I think internal storage is fine, not sure though since I use my sd card for large files like this
I'm confused about this: fastboot flash boot boot.img
Is the boot.img included in the NOS_M7_v1.0.0_X920D_signed.zip for CWM? Whenever I flash that boot.img I still get the stock recovery. I tried flashing cwm using fastboot flash recovery command and it worked, but can't mount SD card.
EDIT: Looks like I finally got it to work. I flashed boot.img from the ROM zip and downloaded CWM from their website and flashed the ZIP. I get a lot of errors on CWM though, can't mount this and that. I was also not able to wipe system etc.
EDIT 2: Does it really have that red warning text on the boot logo?

Yep, as far as I know you can't get rid of it as of yet. I guess when we get S-Off for the x920d and e then we can get rid of it, but as of now it stays there.
One more question (pardon me, really), are the stock Sense 5 wallpapers really not included in the NOS M7 ROM?

They should be, are you sure you installed it right? Since you're also getting errors on cwm. Check the wallpapers, if #4 is a grey leaf with water droplets on it, and #12 is a cityscapy looking thing

No wallpapers at all. I assume since CWM wasn't able to mount system, data, etc. partitions, the ROM wasn't able to extract the files? I'm thinking of flashing stock RUU again, then install CWM (should I go touch or regular one?), then flash boot.img from rom zip and flash it again? It also did not run the setup wizard after the flashing. I'm HTCDev unlocked. S-on.

[TOOL] HTC Butterfly Toolkit v1.0.1[Recovery,backup/restore,Drivers,boot/down,splash]

HTC Butterfly Toolkit v1.0.1
I posted this Toolkit for the DNA and someone asked if it would work for the Butterfly. I thought it would be best to modify it to be a separate toolkit, so it would be easier to maintain. I do not have a HTC Butterfly to test this on, but have no doubts that it will work correctly. I have quite a few ideas of things I want to add, and will start working on that soon. Just wanted to get this out there for others to use if they would like.

Windows 8 Drivers
Windows 8 x64 drivers are not getting placed in the correct folder. They are getting placed in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers folder instead of C:\Windows\System32\Drivers folder. You can either move them from the SysWOW64\driver folder or copy them from the Toolkit Win7_64 folder to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers folder.

Fantastic! Downloading..
Ok DEV i may need a spoon-full. Fired up the tool and scanned, it worked perfect, tab information showed-up and all buttons lit-up. Didn't try any recovery options cause i'm already rooted but i had been meaning to install galatab3. Clicking on "Get GT3 Kernel" didn't do anything and neither did clicking on "Gala Tab 3" (tools section) took me to the discussion thread but nothing else. Neither option downloaded the file, so is it something I'm doing wrong?
Downloading odin worked like a charm, i didn't try TWRP or CWM since I'm already rooted.
Reboot recovery and reboot system work. i haven't had a need to try any other functions (yet). Oh, one thing i found inconvenient is the tool is always-on-top.
I do believe if you intend for it to a tool for noobs, you do a separate tool for rooting and recovery only, sort of like a one or two click rooting with only one or buttons to click. As it is right now, there are too many options. And also you can really get in that noob mode and it would dawn on you to put in the instruction how to make the developer options show up in the first place LOL Just IMO DEV.
Thank you for all of your feedback @treetop777
When you click "Get GT3 Kernel," it should download the GalaTab3 Kernel right into the same directory as the program itself.
Once it downloads, if you then click the "Copy GT3," it will then copy the Kernel over to /sdcard/ path of the device. From there, you can reboot into recovery and install the zip file of GalaTab3 from the sdcard.
Please try that and let me know how it works for you. I will try to categorize everything better and lay it out easier with your feedback. Thank you

NP DEV. Will you put out an update? Cause for sure the version i have DO NOT download the Kernel and also, i don't see the "Copy GT3" you mentioned.
You know, now that i think of it, when i hover over the "Get GT3 Kernel" i get a message about the SD card. Maybe you meant that button to read "COPY GT3 Kernel" ?? If that's the case, then it would have to be moved to the tools section.
But first DEV, it has to download the Kernel which it's not doing right now. Unless I'm doing something wrong.
I'm sorry about the issue that you're having.. I am going to look into it in just a few minutes. I will release an update tonight for you.

I have uploaded version 1.0 now, and have fixed the bug in the Kernel download method that I was using.
Please try the new version, and let me know if that fixes your problem(s)!
Once you click "Get GT3 Kernel," it will download the kernel zip, and place it into the current directory of the GalaxyTab3_Toolkit, then the button will rename itself to "Copy Kernel." Click that, and it will ask you if you'd like to transfer the kernel zip over to /sdcard/ on the tablet. Click yes, then once it finishes, click Reboot Recovery, and you will be able to install the kernel zip file from there.
Worked EXACTLY as expected! Downloaded GT3 then pushed it to the internal storage then rebooted into TWRP. After flashing GT3, rebooted into system and the tab is running smooth. No glitches, no problems. What more can i say - flawless!
It's nice to have all these procedures all in one place.
Thanks!

Looks awesome going to give it a shot, lets see if this meets my needs.
Using it now but why no philz recovery?
Update....
Worked great thanks.
One small issue was having to put the device into download mode manually. I was getting an exception error about no root when I chose the reboot download button.
Once philz was installed, I used his root option and then installed supersu and Staricson busybox using smart install. Device is now rooted and I can start modding.
Thanks !
Small recomendation.. allow for the app to use or not use system proxy. Also, app should have an option to not always be on top.

Well, I haven't had the chance to test Philz recovery out just yet, I only included the tools that I have personally tested.
I am going to add an option for all of the updated recoveries that support CM10-CM11! Also, I will add an option to allow it to not always be on-top, too!
I will look into the root-required Download Mode reboot, but it would always fail to reboot into Download Mode for me if I didn't run it as SU.. I'll see what I can do to fix it, because I know that it doesn't require root through a regular shell.
Thank you for your feedback!!

Does this toolkit also works with T311 (Tab3 8.0 3G)?

I don't have a T311 to test with, but once I get everything implemented that I want for the T310, I will try to add functions for the T311 for you!
Any love for the t315 4g version?
I've updated to version 1.1 guys, please check the changelog in the original post for more information!
@gx3k - no, I'm sorry, no support for T311 or T315 yet! I think everything is now good with the T310, so I will start working on the other two now!
@Phil3759 & @gr8nole - I added your recoveries to my project, and have hosted them on my server as well for a direct-download method. If this is a problem at all, please let me know and I will remove them asap! Thank you guys for all of your work
Superb!
Echoing what others have said, nice to see everything in one place, had my Tab rooted within ten minutes, thanks for the tool!
