All I hear is this forum is *****ing. And moaning, screen bleed is not a big issue I much rather have that than a deathgrip or dust beneath the screen what do u guys think you can't even see it unless your in cwm recovery, what do u guys think?

clown you wanna close this one too?
/facepalm written all over this...
I think someone posted that the bleed issue is fixable. There is a anti dust barrier /gasket around LCD that applies pressure to screen thereby causing some bleeding. If you remove the anti dust it relieves pressure and no more bleed. So i guess we can possibly conclude that the bleed is not due to a defective screen. If LG uses a thinner barrier strip it may rid the bleed and still keep the dust out. My bleed is minimal and does not bother me.

Is there a guide to this somewhere?
To the OP. Its an issue because its annoying. Also it doesnt just show up when your in CWM. If your running gingerbread it is visible all the time, especially when viewing dark apps or the picture gallary.

But the difference being, you don't need to remove a sticker to root.
I wouldn't want dust under my screen, deathgrip issues or screen bleed and I'm thankful that I have none of that on my G2X or Sensation. Although I would say the screen bleed on the G2X is much more wide spread than dust under the screen or deathgrip issues on the Sensation.
Have a good day.

I agree with the OP... so there's some screen bleed in a corner, not a huge deal for me. I did not even notice until I read the posts in this forum.
Yeah, if ppl wouldn't of pointed it out I wouldn't have known.

I've had five. Two had minimal bleeding and were virtually unnoticable (which includes my fifth). Two were noticable only when screen was black. One, my last one, was really bad. All the way across the top and it definately affected the overall picture quality. Washed out and darker whites. Seeing the difference between 4 and 5 side by side, I'm glad I exchanged the 4th.
My point is that the screen bleed on #4 really did affect the picture quality.
Imo it is a quality control issue that is unacceptable. It could have been prevented and it affects phones to varying degrees. This makes it a defect IMO that they should warranty. Especially if it is caused by that overlapping seal as implied in the disassembly thread here.
I disagree with the op on this.
This is a top of the line phone and the bleed is preventable and inconsistent. QA should have been better.
Anyone has this issue? I just recently saw the dust after setting my brightness to full under the sun.. while cover by a protector the dust gathers on the edge of the glass. Perhaps some dust escape to the bottom into the screen.. this sucks and this is my 2nd sensation.

There's a thread about this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1114612
Dude, there have been multiple threads about this. Try searching before posting useless threads...
Hi everyone.
Buy sensation two weeks ago.
And noticed little spot (or bubble) on screen near ambient (which is under glass) sensor.
Is there malfunction?
Looks more like it has happened due to dust or something, which is a more common issue when it comes to the Sensation..
Don't worry mate! it doesn't look like a malfunction
Dust on top of the screen.Forget to clean the screen before take foto

You see there's a common problem in Sensation of dust getting under the screen..It's a manufacturing defect available in many Sensations..There are one or two such bubbles in my phone as well..but they are not that visible..So that's what I referred to by saying it may have caused due to dust..
So no worries mate!
Thanks. Is bubbies on visible part of display?

Well, yeah there can be some bubbles underneath the middle of the screen as well..but as it's a manufacturer default we have no control over it..you can avoid the situation to an extent by using a case that covers the bezel of the phone..
and if there are lots of dust underneath the screen you can return the device and get a replacement, but that won't be an option if there are only little..
you can refer to this thread which discusses about this issue:

Have a light scratch on my screen. Can't feel it with a finger but can see it.
What can I use to minimize it / buff it?
Was thinking about buffing it with car wax, then thought about tring to use car clear coat scratch remover.... thoughts?

I've heard that people can use toothpaste to remove scratches before you can give it a try

You can buy glass scratch removal kits off the internet but I'm not sure how they would work on a screen or even if they would damage it more
Dunno about the scratch removal kit, but people said toothpaste makes it worse.
From what people say in the iPad forums, the only way to remove scratches in the oleophobic coating is to remove the whole thing by buffing it out. You can't just do the scratch or it becomes obvious when the screen is on that you've buffed out a section of coating....
Everybody says to just use a screen protector (for light scratches), remove the coating entirely, replace the screen, or send it in to apple, who will 're coat the screen.

I got a scratch on my s3's screen. Its not that deep but I can still feel it with my fingernail and it does distort the colors but only on high brightness and anything with a white background. Is there any home remedies or screen protecters I can buy that will hide it?
PS. I've already tried the toothpaste method.
