Hello, I have looked around and there isn't really a clear explanation or guide to reverting the phone to about as stock as possible, I upgraded the firmware so I could use ICS.

It's not clear whether you want to revert to the stock ROM because you want to, flash a ROM that is close to stock or fully revert to stock for warranty repair or similar?
If you just want to return to stock, look for the RUU from your carrier or for your region here.
If you want to flash a custom ROM that is close to stock, try Android Revolution HD.
If you need to return to stock for warranty, flash your carrier's or region's RUU then follow the instructions in steps 4 and 5 here.

It is pretty easy to follow the steps and return to stock but any data stored on the phone will be wiped - the SIM card won't be.
Just installing the RUU would downgrade the firmware and restore w.e radios necessary?

Hmm. Like on of those 'one package' deals for Odin flasher (Samsung) I see. I'll keep this in mind if the need arises

So I posted on another thread that I am having issues with my 4g working on the new custom rom with T Mobile USA, after reading around some more I found out (not exactly sure about this) but that the custom rom (cyanogenmod) does not work well with t mobile sensation 4g.
I never backed up my stock rom, how do I revert back to it? do I just do a wipe? do I just do it like installing a custom rom but just point it to a stock rom?
Thanks guys.

Wiping won't revert you to stock if you're already on a custom rom.
It just... wipes your phone. Stock roms install with a RUU executable, not a flashable zip like custom roms.
Follow this guide to write SUPERCID if you haven't done so. It lets you flash any rom that is carrier/region locked.
Then pick your choice of RUU from this thread and flash. These are all stock roms.
Remember to backup cause it will wipe everything.

Do I need to do the SUPERCID if I am flashing to TMOUS rom? since this phone came with out I don't need it right?
EDIT:
Also to confirm on how to install the stock rom, I just put that into my root directory. Go to recovery, wipe everything, than install from sdcard correct? No need to do anything special?

You won't have to write SUPERCID if your phone came with TMOUS stock. It is highly recommended though, unless you are perfectly sure the RUU you download is the right one.
Download the relevant file to your PC, connect your device via USB and double-click the executable. You won't need to copy it to sd or go into recovery. It will do everything for you.
Word of warning. Do not, under ANY circumstances interrupt the RUU update process. You will brick the phone.
EDIT: Remember to check the MD5 before flashing

Awesome it worked. Also my 4g data works on stock firmware.
Does this mean the custom rom I installed (cyanogenmod) Wont work with my carrier?
I tried installing different radios it didn't work, though on stock rom it works perfectly.
Custom roms work fine with Tmous. The only difference is the 4g icon does not display.
It is the same in data speeds.
On Tmous stock Rom it constantly says 4g.
It will not switch the icon back and forth.
Bit it is switching internally.
There is no difference in the connection speeds at all.

Ok. Go Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559
Download RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.45.531.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_ 10.14.9035.01_M_release_208218_signed
With phone on start the RUU.
This will take you back to stock rom and stock S-off.
If I revert back to stock rom will I lose the unlock for the carrier?

I can’t find the right ruu, why the hell r they labeled like that. My htc sensation is unlocked, what ruu do I need
Have a look at:
http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Pyramid
I believe the TMOUS ones are the right ones for you.
3.32.xxx will give you ICS.
I've attached a file that is supposed to list the carrier/location codes used in the RUU names.
Let's say I want to flash a rom and made a backup thru CWM of my stock rom will I be able to keep root if I flash it back to the stock rom ?
II'm doing this cause I care most about no auto brightness issue than the actual advantage to go with a custom rom.
Thanks
Why don't you just root your stock ROM then? You need to be rooted to flash CWM recovery anyways..

If your ROM is already rooted, and you're restoring it from CWM, yes. If you're using fastboot to re-flash the stock ROM, no, you'll have to re-root it.
I'm kind of confused about what you're asking, though. Can you give more specific details? Are you going to flash a different ROM and try to flash the stock ROM, or parts of it, on top of the new ROM? I wouldn't do that unless you're very sure of what you're doing.
im on [GT-i9020T]
im currently on 4.0.4 just got the phone
is there an odin file i can reflash stock 4.0.4 back? or whats my best bet to reflash to stock build ( i know mine is stock now but i want to do fresh stock flash )
This stock ROM's are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572307 if this is what you are looking for.
If the phone is new, I suppose you don't have a Cwm recovery to flash from. So you should use fastboot to flash the factory image from Google site.
But I can't see why you need to do this.
My back speaker stopped working and I read sometimes reflashing will fix it do I read sometimes reflashing will fix it do I have to unlock the bootloader to do this through fast boot.?

Yes.
Im following the guide in the development section in regard to flashing back to stock. However Im running both custom rom and a custom kernal. Is there anything special I have to do with regards to the kernal or will flashing the stock image in odin do everything I need it to do to run the "stock rom"?
Thank you.
Problem Solved. Following the instructions found in the Development Section (Section 6) by DroidStyle will flash you back to stock regardless or what kernals, modems, or roms you have flashed onto the phone.
Thanks to Slim and Droid for answering my question.
There is something else you need to do. If you're following DroidStyle's guide then he states everything you need to do to return to stock in section 6 of his guide.

Yep thats the one Im going by. It doesnt mention any caveats in regard to somone who is running a custom kernel. Just one at the top if you want to relock the bootloader, which I dont want to do.
I just want the stock image on the phone while retaining root and an unlocked bootloader.

I believe the title states "Using Odin to flash back to Stock from any rom/ recover from a soft brick, so yea your covered :good:
There are no caveats mentioned because there is no need...flashing back to stock replaces the rom and boot.img all back to stock, so follow the guide and your good to go.

=) Thanks and sorry I just wasnt sure if the custom kernal was a seperate element from the custom rom. I installed it seperately so I just wanted to make sure that using odin to flash the stock image would cover both bases.
Again sorry if I butchered the verbage, some of the techincal details are beyond me.
i flashed this and now my phone is stuck on the sprint boot logo and i never made a backup.
ODEXED-NE5-Vol_Nag_Remover.zip
anyway i can fix this?
i was on my stock rom android 4.4.2 with twrp installed
i can still boot to twrp.
can anyone make a flashable of the 4.4.2 framework from stock tw rom please!?
i need to get my stock rom back up and running!
framework.jar & framework.odex
does anyone have these files?
:crying: PLEASE HELP
First things first. Your device is not " BRICKED " . You have several choices here. The two easiest IMO since you did not make a Nandroid Backup are, ODIN back to Stock NE5. Or flash another Rom. Rwilco12's Mostly Stock NE5 is a good choice if you want to stay very close to Stock, but have a few added features.

What stock firmware were you on? Download which ever firmware you have on your phone currently, flash through odin. This will get u to same point your at now but not rooted and no bootloop, so after your done flashing stock firmware, root with method you had used before, everything should be the way it was before, now make a nandroid with you recovery.

What happens when you make a backup? Usually when you make a nandroid, it names the file with what firmware your on. I know its senseless to make a back up, but at least you can find firmware out.
