Hi all
on my sensation a few times a day when im surfing it hangs...the upload arrow is constantly on and it hangs for about a minute or 2 then kicks back in after re-setting itself.
After doing a bit of googling i have found this

it looks like the three network that i am on could be the issue, just thought id share this incase anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

Do you have the phone set to auto sync?
And
Change the APN from three.co.uk to just 3INTERNET

Many thanks for your reply. I am really new to all this so bare with me ! how do you set the phone to auto sync? and when you say change the APN from three.co.uk to 3internet, what do you mean by this and how do you do it?
When i go into apn on my phone there is nothing there but it does give me an option to add a APN?
Sorry for such basic questions but any help would be appreciated as this problem is really starting to bug me!

So here is the situation. before i use wifi tethering, I can connect to my bome network. After i run the wifi router app, and turn it off, I can no longer connect to my home network. It finds the network fine. tried disabling router password too. It just continues to try to connect but never does. Only fix I can find for this is to perform a hard reset. I hate doing that.
Ok i had the same problem wifi already finds the network but cannot make connection and how much you trying its getting worse. I don't have my own network and hard reset didn't work. I think it happened because in the registry the phone cannot refresh the information that fast. Try to don't use wifi some time, few days that's worked for me and if someone knows what the problem is, help us!

i actually am running an energy ROM and i have had this problem. when i use Android i don't run into this problem, please tell you me you have an answer.

Stock?
Im gonna do some tests to see if there is a rom that this doesnt happen. when i ran stock..... long ago..... I never had an issue.

This happened 2 or 3 times only when im using wifi too much.You must know that i don't have a pc right now and everything i do is from hd2 include a lot of internet browsing.
I am from Bulgaria maybe here the quality of these phones it's not good i don't know

my problem is only after using wifi to teather something else to the internet. Im thinking your prob is different. mine willnot connect to my router at home. It findsitbut wont connect. Im gonna try a new rom in the am

same problem here. I´m using a vodafone-stock-rom. It has never been different.
But you do not need to go through a hard-reset. If you trigger wifi manually, everything will work again without problems (settings, more, connections, wlan). If you don not want to go this way, just start your phone again (soft reset) and everything will be fine too.
Ill try that. but a soft reset does not solve my issue

Yeah its different, but im using only one network at home for 3 months, not that connect to different netwoks

I told you, wait some time and don't try to connect more and more that's wrong
I have just recently found out and realize that below is happening to me.
"Notification bar icons (Wi-Fi, network coverage bars, etc.): Turn green when you have an uninhibited connection to Google, white when you don't. Hint: if you're in a hotel or airport using Wi-Fi, the bars won't turn green until you launch the browser and get past the captive portal."

when the phone is put to sleep, it often turn white. meaning it got disconnected from google services.
this also resulted to not receiving any push notification (especially on gmail).
when i turn it on again, it will then try to connect to google services and after a while, you will see that the signal bar turn green again.
then only suddenly you receive all the missed notification (this includes gtalk).
anyone has experience similar issue?
(note, i am testing this on mobile data only). going to try it on wifi later.

It's a known issue for the nexus s with a huge thread discussing it.
Unless I'm confusing the issue? Can anyone tell me if I'm thinking of something else?

Sry for some reason it didn't save everything lol I was trying to back out and it posted what I had started but I have Google and tries the apn trick for the WiFi work around but it still doesn't work and it was in the atrix forum not the inspire so I figured I would ask if anyone has had luck with it. I mean it turns on but then turns right back off just like before just with out the att message

Is the phone rooted?
If your phone is rooted, put the phone into airplane mode. Enable WiFi and connect to a router. Go into market and look for wireless tether for root users. That should work and you don't need to mess with APN settings. .

Not yet I was trying avoid this but I saw one that does the 4g and keeps it looking stock so I'm going to try and do it tonight but it looks hard

Hardest part (which is really not that hard) is creating the goldcard. After that its pretty straight forward. Look in the Dev's section for tools that'll help you with the whole process.

Hi i live in canada and i have the 19020 version of the nexus s. I had that stupid search button bug so i decided to factory data reset the phone to see if that'd help and now i have no 3g at all. Im completely stock. Can someone help me !!!

Hello all. I have been having am issue with my wife at home for a while and thought i would ask here if anybody has any ideas.
When installing a new rom I can not connect to the google servers. It says it does not have a stable connection.
A heap of apps do not work via Wifi. Gmail, and YouTube, Facebook, and a couple of others.
Yet on the same phone with the same connection I can open up the browser and go to any of these websites.
I have tried a heap of things but if somebody has any ideas on how to fix this would love to hear it.

Mine too lol.....she is always bugging me jk......back to the topic, you could try reflashing the ROM to see if it clears it up....if that doesn't, test it with another WiFi connection.....or revert to a different version of ROM

Hahaha. I didn't even notice that mistake. It does not matter what rom and it is only my connection. I have changed my setup at the moment and it's working.
Its just crazy and i can not work it out.
