So I downloaded the voodoo sound app and I didn't like it. So how can I revert the sound to how it was?

Uninstall the app? Reset your changed settings then uninstall? Clear data then uninstall?
I'll try that

I think it's monuting sd card sound
Hi,
you can disable it in Settings - Sounds - Notification --> Soundless
Not sure if the names are correct cos I have it in German, but you should be able to find it.

In fact, I want just to disable memory card notification sound, I had an option in stock 2.1 but in 2.2.1 v3 I haven't.

Yesterday my phone updated to 1.47.401.4. Now I'm unable to change the SMS notification sound :-(. I can select other sounds, but I has no effect. Changing the volume in settings plays the right sound, but where the SMS arrives the sound is still some default sound I have not choosen.

Have you tried rebooting the device and re-trying?
Next suggestion is to take a full backup (assuming that you're rooted and s-off) and then perform a full reset and test again
Then restore to backup.
I have tried rebooting. Didn't work.
I'm not rooted. It's a company phone, so I'm not going to root it. :-(
same problem her stuck on one tone can choose other tone but keeps the same tone

I think your trying to reset the tone globally and the SMS or Email is set to local. Open SMS for instance so that you have the list of messages from everybody not just one contact, press menu-settings and change it from there.

Thats the solution thanks
On my Sanyo Zio my ringtones won't set. It's stuck on silent with no way to change it in the settings. Could it be a bad Phone.apk? Or what's responsible for that? All the other things are able to be set like notification ringtone and sms ringtone but the phone one just doesn't do anything when you click on it.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the .apk? Could be it. If not, make a backup and try a full reset :/
I am new to Samsung, and new to this phone, so maybe I am missing something silly.
I can't get this thing to vibrate! I have tried all the vibration settings (always, only on silent, etc.) and I have my gmail and voice settings to always vibrate, but the dang thing won't vibrate. Even the little vibrate icon in the notification bar lights up, and it vibrates when you turn off/on and when you volume down to silent (just as confirmation of silent mode), so I feel confident it isn't a hardware issue.
I just got it Saturday, and I have been testing out different profile managers. I have them all deleted now, but could one of them set something to not vibrate? Even though I have it set to vibrate in stock settings? I can't remember if it vibrated before I started messing with those profile managers...
Should I just factory reset and start over?
Put it on vibrate. Then go to your sound settings and make the notification sound louder. Then try calling your phone to see if it worked.
Should of posted this in q&a btw.

Have you tried turning your vibration intensity up?

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the incorrect location.
OK, tried what you suggested. Looks like vibration works for phone calls but still no vibration for notifications.

Yes, vibration intensity is on max for all.
ETA: Ok, My wife has a brand new i777 that we got at the same time and I set up the same way. Her notifications weren't vibrating either, even though I had the settings set up that way. I checked the profile manager that was still on her phone (that I had had on my phone, but deleted) and vibration was unchecked. When I checked it, the phone vibrated as it should. Therefore, it looks like that app (Profile Scheduler) left something unchecked down inside the OS even though it is deleted and the stock OS says to vibrate.
I'm going to try to reinstall that app and check the settings and then uninstall again and see if that fixes it. Otherwise I'm going to have to factory reset.
ETA2: Ok. Looks like that fixed it! It changed my ringtone, but that is a simple fix. Much better than having to factory reset. Thanks everyone!
A strange one - my sounds are working fine apart from one - the google messenger app. It is set to a local sound file and its worked in the past - now no matter what I do* it defaults to the default sound and will not ring the set for sms in the system sound settings.
*I have clear app data. restarted on help
*I have reinstalled the app no help.
*If I change the default notification sound it obeys it.
*I even went as far as wiping the system cache and reboot. No joy
Any ideas peeps?
