[Q] Skyrocket Bootanimation Help - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hello All,
Since getting my skyrocket I have learned a lot from this site. In fact having a lot of fun trying new things. I used to be a iPhone person then went to android with the galaxy s2, and i found a really cool bootanimation where the android destroys the apple... Yes i hate apple that much now. Anyway does anyone know of any bootanimations that will work on the skyrocket, something where the android guy kills apple. LOL
Thank you so much for all your help Awesome site and most of all many thanks to all of you that do this work and help people like me who are new to this.
Steve

Bootanimation Update
Hello Again,
I found something that worked, not sure if this will help anyone or not but here is what i did.
I am running Red Sonja on my skyrocket. I was looking at the Ice Cream rom and saw they had some bootanimations there so i downloaded one and tried it.
Well it was working fine, so then I looked in system/media and there was now a bootanimation.zip file which was not there before. So I took the bootanimation.zip file that I had and replaced the one that was on the phone. Rebooted and it is running the animation that I had before.
Not sure if this helps anyone or not.
Thanks

nice
i am gonna try this since i am looking at a different bootanimation that i want!

[REQ] Get New Beach LWP from Galaxy S to work on Dinc

I downloaded this LWP that came for the 2.2 update for the Galaxy S line. Problem is that it seem to force close when you try to select it. This is the link to the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=798282 Seems they were never able to really get it to work on most devices. This is a greak LWP and wish we can get it working on our Dincs. Hopefully someone can make it work.

[Q] Infused or MIUI

i am currently running the infused rom on my infuse 4g and i am noticing a lot of people talking about the MIUI rom. can someone tell me the big differences in the roms that makes them stand out from eachother. which one is more user friendly and such. i have uploaded a screenshot of my homescreen using go launcher ex.
really no replies yet? c-mon people help me out. i have been looking around and found a new rom that looks amazing. i am not a total noob at this stuff i know what i am doing. the new rom that i am looking at is called sensation rom and it looks amazing kudos to the guy that designed it. if you are running it please feel free to fill me in about it too. i am looking to flash a new rom soon and want to know what is the best that i can get for my infuse. here is the link for the sensation rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1325177
again all the help i can get from here would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS
you can wait longer than an hour lol
to get an idea of how the roms are different, you can watch some videos on youtube.
miui is a big change from most roms, it's probably best to just flash and see if you like it. it's not like flashing is permanent

the sense Rom is good, i will leave it at that.
i dont like to hype Roms, cuz they are different for everyone....you may not like the features on one while someone else absolutly loves them. Miui is the MOST customizable rom that is out there. Cm7 is a great Rom as well. i can find good things to say about most roms i have tried on the infuse. and i have Tried them ALL...lol
i say flash away, if your not a Noob - i know your not scared of a brick right.
take the time and see if you like it, if not Flash another and another and for ****s and giggles flash another.
trial and error is the only way to really see if a rom works for you.
It's al about personal opinion man, in my opinion, you should backup your current rom and then flash miui and give it a try. the worst that can happen is that you won't like it and all you have to do is restore from your backup.
Its just two ROMs..!! And you are on Infused. Try out MIUI for a couple days and keep what you liked more.

I've just flashed to MIUI. This is purely my opinion alone.
- It's has a very clean interface with no "crapware" at all. I've to install everything from scratch. That's a plus point anyway.
- And there's multitude of customization that can be done. From themes, to settings, etc.
- But the thing that I don't really like is all my installed app sitting pretty on the home screen.
- I do notice that it's faster than the original infuse interface. Faster browsing too.
- I think it has problems handling more than 4 gmail accounts and Google voice seem to be working erratically.
Apart from that, everything works fine and I'm still figuring it out further.
Think of MIUI as a REALLY REALLY GOOD knock off of iOS.
its CM7 with a skin. lol. basically.

youtube would be a great idea if i werent at work where it is blocked. haha. but thanks for all your help everybody. i may flash MIUI just to try it out. thanks!
Personal preference tbh.
so just to cover my ass a little, if i make a backup of my current rom using rom manager and i dont like MIUI i can always restore from the backup that i made? and when i do decide to get MIUI what and where should i get it from?
MIUI is in the developers section of the infuse forums. It is usually on the first page due to so many people posting on it, it isn't hard to find.
well i did it. i flashed to MIUI and i am going to see if i like it. so far i am not happy. i had my phone to backup all my contacts to google and it didnt and i even moved them to my sim card. so i lost all my contacts. but all in all its going to take some getting used to. will either upload pics at some point or maybe make a video to help people like me who are a lil iffy on rom flashing.
thanks guys for all your help!
I've been running MIUI for 3 weeks now and I LOVE it.....sleek, customizable, fast, faster browsing than stock....but I would recommend trying both to find the one that works for you

MI~INFUSED~UI
All I know is I LOVE Infused GB rom
I tried Serendipity, and HATED it. Flashed Infused back immediately. The swype is outdated, and the look and feel is god-awful. Plus, I refuse to keep a ROM on my phone called "Serendipity" terrible...just awful.
Never tried MiUI
just get Infused. GTG is the man.
Im late on this topic. Just flash both and see which you enjoy more.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997R using xda premium
so i have a problem with MIUI. when i set tones as my ringtone, notification, and sms tone none of them work and it is the same sound for them all. i am using zedge for my ringtones and i noticed that you could use your music on your phone as a ringtone. please help. is there a fix or something that i am missing. i am going through settings to do this. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know of any good Boot Animations?

I'm looking specificly for one that is for ICS, with android robots racing like speedracer. Not sure if I can find this again, but it was somewhere on the web and I had it working for awhile and another rom I installed removed it.
Thanks for any help!
I generally check ROM Toolbox, he added some nice tablet friendly boot animations that work, and are super graphical

[Q] AT&T Huawei Fusion 2 U8665/CM10 Theme?

Note: Forgive me if this is in the wrong, or already covered. I searched, couldn't find anything to help with my direct problem.
I'm running 'unofficial' CM10 on my Atrix 2. While browsing themes, my sister and I found a theme that she absolutely loves. Seriously. She asked me to root/rom her phone [AT&T Huawei Fusion 2 U8665] just for that THEME.
Well, that's a CM10/CM10.1 theme..So, I scoured the net untill I found THIS. I followed the directions to a T. It works, the phone/rom is up and running..I thought it wouldn't work, but it did.
Then I get said theme installed into the Theme Chooser, click apply, it tells me it was improperly compiled. The author has notes about this, and tells what to do. No matter what I do it still says the same thing.
I installed/applied a different theme to see if the Theme Chooser just doesn't work for her, every other theme I tried worked fine. So does this have something to do with the 'hdpi/xhdpi' thing?
Is there anything I can do to get this theme working for her? I just spent a few hours researching themeing, and while I would love to just make her one, I don't have the time..not with a one year old running around.
Any ideas? Would very much appreciate it.
Anyone?
Not sure if I should give up...or keep bumping this thread in hope that someday someone will have the knowledge that I seek..
