I installed & used PlayerPro Plus musicplayer. Then I used AudioTagger (both from Market). Now PlayerPro and stock player claim my music files (mp3, wma and m4a) are not compatible. Both say 'Sorry cannot play this type of audio file'
I re-installed all my music (and loaded more) without using AudioTagger, but the players show the files' id3 tag info, etc, but just won't play them.
Help.
I run ICS 4.0.3 (updated using stock recovery) not rooted. Now I've got Clockwork Recovery. My sdcard is 32Gb.
Re-installing PlayerPro Plus didn't help.
Have I lost codecs?
Double-flash ROM
I had tried to install a custom ROM (from TabletRepublic))
but only once. I didn't notice it should be flashed twice. So I did and now all is well.

Not working again
I have since updated to version 0.7 of the custom ROM.
I have flashed it several times but music files won't play.
Everything else is working well.
Any suggestions?

I had no issue with the exact same audio files using GalaxyXT and MIUIXTv2 ROMs, but since I have flashed the Final version of MIUIXT, the MIUI music keep saying "Audio file format not supported" or so...
The Apps "Music" is missing on this Rom...
Any help ?
I flashed with "VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition STABLE RC1". I'm impressed how everything works smooth and great. Market downloads and installs if I connect to google talk first.
The adobe flash player downloads but cannot install, it gives : "package file is invalid". Other apps installs.
I tried the suggestions that I found in the forum, including rebooting, reseting trying to install from file, trying to install different versions 10.1 10.2 or 10.3 without any luck.
Still the same error. Before trying to flash it again, I wanted to as if anybody have a suggestion ?
thanks in advance.
i also have the same problem. went to download flash player 10.3 from android market, for my htc wildfire. it just wont install
Phoned HTC up and they said it means the device dosent support flash
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA Premium App
Use Task Manager, or 'Manage Application', or Uninstaller, etc . . . to check and uninstall any flash player version that was already installed in/with the rom. Then download and install a later version of your choice. I had to do it once before. Hope that it would be the same in your cases.
Dave,
Hi guys, first post since visiting the forums.
I was previously running arhd 5.1.2 then upgraded to 6.0.0. both have been running without a problem, but I have found 6.0.0 to be faster and smoother.
The only problem I'm having since upgrading is a very specific and strange problem.
I upgraded the firmware to the latest one including the radio. The one recommended on the download page for 6.0.0. I ran superwipe and then installed 6.0.0.
My problem is that whenever I play a specific song on my phone it restarts the phone. I haven't tried all songs but out of probably 100 of my 400+ songs this is the only song that does it. I have downloaded the song again from a different source and it is still doing it.
if I launch the mp3 from es file explorer and play it in the default music player it is fine.
Scratching my head at the moment, also tried fixing file permissions and checking file integrity from ext4 recovery. Still no go for this particular MP3.
Thanks for helping out
Did you install the firmware 1.23.00000 and superwipe before flashing?
Yes I've upgraded the firmware, as per the link for the recommended firmware on the download page for 6.0.0. prior to flashing any ROM I always run superwipe
Hi, when ever I flash codename android on my NS i9023 I don't find the music player..
Iv'e already flashed the Gapps and nothing.
I've even downloaded a file explorer and tried to open a .mp3 file and it said that it can't find the app...
any help??
Thanks
If you're looking for Google play music i think it's not included in Gapps but you can download it from here:

Or you can pretty much install any player from the market that will do the same.
Hi!
I upgraded to the latest stable CM to get rid of the annoying upgrade toast. The updating of TWRP and flashing itself went smoothly.
But now I can't get either DSP Manager or my beloved Equalizer App to work. There is no error, but neither is there any change in the sound when I enable them. Tried uninstalling Equalizer App and running only DSP Manager but no luck. Then I read on random forums that it might only work on Apollo. (I use DI.fm), but not even in Apollo would it refurbish my sound.
Any 2 cents on this?
