This is a known issue with T-Mobile. There are a few fixes for it but non that I have seen work 100%. Search for "tmobile small MMS fix" and try a few of them and see. It is due to how they incident the mms

[Q] OTA OK text message?

I have searched the sensation forums for this and have had no luck, perhaps I am the only one, but more than likely I have overlooked it somehow. I keep getting text messages from tmobile that say OTA OK. Nothing more. I was just curious if anyone knew what was causing this. Like I said I tried searching but alas found nothing. Also these messages come every minute for about 6 minutes randomly through the day.
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried calling them maybe asking what's up?

Does 4G work on aospX 1.0.0-AR21? Thanks!

Hey, I'm new to this forum and I had a question. I was wondering, does 4G work on this ROM. Thanks!
Oh! And how do I edit my signature? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Yes...plus 4g is just marketing on our phones. I'd say it 3.5g Max!
I was using asopx and i was getting dl speeds aroung 4Mbps/s, I have since switched to IceColdSandwich and I get a bit faster speeds. So, yes 4G does work
What about Ascension? Is it any better?
I really hate be the bad guy here but it is well known that att doesn't have 4g network short of LTE. And no the inspire is not compatible with that network. As stated above the best you will get is the 3.5g network alot of us have been connecting to for years

[Q] Has anyone Taken their Inspire to T-Mobile

I was wondering if anyone has taken their Inspire 4G from AT&T over to T-Mobile?
It's just that ive been with AT&T less than a month got my 1st bill for 3 lines and it's like 850 dollars. so it's like 90 for the family share 1400 and then 30 for the 3GB Data Pro then they switch plans so i get billed both the old rate and the new adjusted rate, for a Tier 1 Carrier they are reallt f****ed Up.
any way if anyone knows how please share a guide or what not Preferably APN settings, ETC ETC
You can use it but you only get edge speeds

from what I hear the first bill is always the highest

Go with straighttalk from walmart. They'll send you a new sim and apn settings for the inspire. And it's 45 bucks a month for unlimited text, calls and Web. Win!
And yes, first bill is always super high. But 850bucks? Damn!!

I use my tmobile sim in my inspire...internet works ok but it is pretty slow at time...and pirateghost to get 3.5 sense ya just have to flash a Rom that has 3.5 built into it..just look at the name if it says sense3.5 its good

Inspire DOES work on T-Mo, just like any other ATT phone. It is slower, though. Edge speed, I believe.

[Q] any news on ics coming to U.S for T mobile?

Hello all, I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable people had any news of I.C.S coming to the US , via T Mobile? There is so much speculation on this, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this subject? I contacted T Mobile representive and she did not know what I was talking about.....then she said oooh that will be months away! I hope she's wrong! Months away? Really, what is your understanding on this subject? I will appreciate any input or opinions, thank you

I was waiting for this: I think every carrier should have its own "When is ICS coming to my Sensation OTA?" thread.
That said, the information you got is typically non-informative. I remember struggling to explain what a software update was to one of the reps. Now, of course, I realize that they simply don't have an answer and, per posts to be found elsewhere (Search!) say "in a month or two" as a basic TMO CYA policy.

Thank you for the tip.
Honestly I'm glad T-Mobile decided to delay the update. For some reason HTC now thinks it's acceptable to turn on your WiFi and/or Mobile Network whenever they damn well please. Apparently it takes a carrier to change their mind.
Hopefully it's a quality update when released!
Yeah I hope so too

There's no way that's an official Tmobile statement. Did you see the terrible grammar and run-on sentences? That person has a junior high education at most. An actual press release would be much better formulated.
I'm guessing that "update" was copied and pasted directly from a thread here at XDA.

Do you normally leave them on? If so then you're immune. This is a well documented issue with every ROM using the latest bases from HTC. Just read a few pages of any ROM thread using the base. Turning off auto-sync mostly eliminates the issue but it's a serious pain.
Regardless of workarounds, I find it utterly unacceptable for my phone to turn on its own data connection without me telling it to. I'm sure T-Mobile feels the same way. Imagine the support calls and troubleshooting nightmares.

No WiFi problems for me on arhd ics. As for the update, I really think T-Mobile is going to release it after the one debuts. They don't want to cannibalize one sales.

You've had an attitude in 2 of your 3 posts in this thread. This is a very new device with extremely limited supply currently.
The biggest problem you might run into is being able to change APNs as in stock AT&T guise they're not accessible. If it.pulls APNs from the network automatically, you should.have no problem.

Ha. I've found the One X community to be extremely noob-tolerant and overall less flamey than every other XDA device forum I've been on.
It seems you've been on here long enough to know to use the search function.
Searching "straight talk" in General yielded a bunch of mentions on the T-Mobile thread. Several people stated it should work. But it doesn't seem that anyone here has tried it, and confirmed it to work yet:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=26890042
You need to get it carrier unlocked too.. search there are tons of threads that talk about where you can get it done.
Basically it is just a website that you pay like $7 enter your IMEI in and it spits out an unlock code then you can use the phone on non-ATT carriers. Until you do this you cannot use the phone on any carrier other than ATT.
It worked for me and I get hspa+ speeds.
