i don't believe so. there is a file in system\etc that you can either modify or flash a zip via recovery to enhance your headphones and call volume quality and sound.

you'll need to s-off to do that mod i've listed. read the development section for guides. you might want to try some apps from the market first. i think people were talking about a volume+ app or something.

i don't think the one i've listed does anything to the ring tone itself.
He's talking about the ringer, I also can't hear my phone ring in a street, while it is in my pocket.

Use Voodoo control. you can get it off the market.
Voodoo control needs Root, custom kernel, but it works.
Also you can try Volume+ - it worked for me (even on stock).
i tried volume +- pre root . but voodoo is much better
I have tried volume+ buyt didnt work for me and i donyt think my transformer can be rooted, are they the only 2 ways?

Dakujem Dobre.
But be sure, to check the Development thread, because there is a new root tool - it made possible to root mine! And it is working like a charm. Voodoo kernel also.
Also made a guide in the General section if you need a little help.

You are the man, thank you very much.
Worked a treat now have a rooted transformer and voodoo control.
Next time I am in Slovakia I will buy you a drink
Volume + worked for me. However you have to understand that it has a lot to have the audio was encoded too. I have seen differences in the increase volume + provides from movie to movie.
Downmixing 5.1 audio without applying normalization and (in my case) a small volume boost can result in an annoyingly quiet stereo track.. with some loud parts coming from the original L/R 5.1 track.. (I think its l/r).. anyways.. Our silly devices are incapable of decoding and/or passing thru AC3 audio.. so when/if you convert the audio.. apply normalization at the very least.
EQ works for me. I turn all the sliders up and it just works. TF still sounds like crap tho (quality) but at least I can hear it.
One of the blogs i follow in twitter posted this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525226
It gave me an install error when i tried it:
E:Error in /emmc/
(status 0)
not quite sure what that means but maybe some of you want to give it a try
EDIT: Just installed using test file, works, testing with sound system to some
Are we supposed to flash in CWM

The beats thing is such a sham
all it does it boost the bass and the treble.
no fancy stuff just a loudness button more or less.
Power amp does this and a lot more
I'm notnsure if it's just a placebo ear effect, but I think i notice a difference
Checking on several different headphones and the S4i's are sounding better
there is a difference, i used my friends GS2 to compare and the not only is the bass and trebble better balanced, but i can push my car's sound system to a 20% higher volume before i start to hear distortion. This is not placebo, or its not a sham, its does what it says and work very well
How does this compare to the Beats setting in Volume+?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...51bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5URVNULmFuZHJvaWQubHZoIl0.
not sure and i wont pay 2$ to find out, im happy with the beats patch
Yo.
I need an answer on this. Can this phone go loud on headphones? Opinions are very mixed... How is it compared to Moto G?
I heard there are newer versions of N5, did they change something with volume or not? Maybe Android updates does something to it?
Pls notice that I'm talking about headphone out, not speakers.
Mine goes very loud. I also use viper4android though.
There is only one version of the n5

trollop thinks he's funny
could someone say how it is without v4a, just stock phone?
Not running stock but it's plenty loud. There's a mod and an app to let you change the mixer_paths. The DAC still isn't the greatest but at least you can turn up the volume.

Could you please tell me what this app is called?
So I can basically install it, change some numbers in mixer_paths and get higher than stock volume WITHOUT DISTORTION? That would be great!
Here you go
Loud enough to blow my ears out on max volume lol. It depends on your headphones too anyways.

In what unit of measure? Decibels? The output partially depends on your headphones and rigging up a decibel meter isn't exactly going to yield great results. Also, if I answered in decibels, I don't think you'd be we to process the information usefully.
..and that is why trollop was funny. You asked an unanswerable question. 11 is as valid as anything else because there is no unit of measure that answers the question that you could possibly understand.

I have had more than a few people tell me that I now sound very faint when using a headset during calls... The mic volume also seems to be much lower when using the handset during calls instead of the headset... Can someone else check to see if the mic volume got affected after the latest OTA? It would be a relief if it wasn't just me
Would fiddling with the system/etc/mixer_paths.xml file make any difference?

Hey guys,
Recently switched from wired headphones to wireless Bluetooth ones and am noticing that the volume is significantly lower via Bluetooth audio. I am using the Google play music app. The music is a bit louder when streaming etc but its about 75% of what i would want the max to be when using google music. Anyways to adjust this setting? Maybe something in the mixerpaths.xml for Bluetooth audio?
Thanks!

Have a look at divine beats thread or any other sound mod thread,if it says that it works with Android O then okay but if it doesn't then you'll have to live with it until the developers release sound mods for Android O.

Yes,fix somewhere lies in that file itself and I guess with a little google search you'll be able to find the solution which includes modifying that file.

Tried Google and XDA extensively. No dice.
Edit: they have a bunch of stuff but only to fix speaker and wired headphones volume. Not for Bluetooth.
