Hi guys
Sorry for what may be a dumb noob question here but i need help.
I recently flashed an insecure kernal so that i could root my samsung s2. I have done this but tried downloading a secure or stock kernal so that the yellow triangle goes when booting up. I have seen some threads on here but the download file has been removed. I flashed onto ICS but had too many problems so went onto 2.3.6. Stated at 2.3.5.
Can anyone help me please? Also now that i have flashed will i not be able to get the official OTA update?

The new bubby's method has a fix for this, re download his program unless you have the newest version and use it. There's a thread around somewhere with this same info.

After being with Nokias for 10yrs Ive made the swap to Andriod!
Having got my S2 today, I've been reading the above thread to try and flash my firmware to the latest version as Vodafone insists that KE2 is the latest :/
I've read the guide, though im a bit lost
I followed the guide and at the very end it says
Now you can flash the Stock kernel to get rid of the yellow triangle just like how we flashed the insecure kernel above.

Well I did that, though I also started SuperOneClick again and clicked "root"
When I did, SuperOneClick crashed and it occured to me that I prob didnt need to click root for the 2nd time? Basically my phone now shows KE7 firmware, though I just want to know how to confirm if i have root or not?

so i rooted my SHW-M100S and i flashed a 2.2 rom on it. I didnt know how to remove or flash stock rom again so i tried flashing another rom then something went wrong. It says that it needs to be upgraded and i need to try again but odin wont detect it what should i do
Hi,
It may be an issue with drivers on PC but a good place to trouble shoot would be in this rooting thread found here

Hope you get the help you need there!
Hello guys,
I made some mistakes with my phone! I rooted it a few weeks ago with towelroot to use greenify, I also unlocked the Bootloader. I also installed Rom Manager (v5.5.3.7) with the CWM Recovery (6.0.4.5)!
I went to the OTA helpdesk and I thought I am able to flash the OTA like a normal rom. But everytime I try to flash it I get an error saying Installaton Aborded.
Can someone help me please i am quite lost here
Thank you in advance

Hello Eddy,
I already read rootSU´s post! But i cant seem to figure out what i have to do... i am very sorry if I offended someone
the ota updater script checks your system partition. if theres anything modified, missing or not like the native Android 4.4.4 Version, it will abort.
you should be able to download the complete lollipop flashing file from Google Server and flash this with any tool kit. i usually use wug's. but its in you to choose what ever you like.

Hey all,
I dug up my old Galaxy Stellar and I've got it to the point where I can get the 4.1.2 OTA update, however I can't flash this because I have TWRP recovery. I have an LH2 .tar that will bring the device to Stock 4.0.4 but it doesn't override the Recovery. I need a stock firmware for this device and I cannot find one. Billard412 had a lot of these files on Goo.im, but since that died, I'm afraid the files are gone with him. If anyone knows Billard412 and could get me in contact with them, I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks!
