Yes, I brought this out of its dev status and into "Alpha 0" status. That's zero for zero data, zero camera, and zero kanged from Evervolv so don't even bring that up. I compiled this from the msm8660 source provided by qualcomm. You can check it out in the links below. Please feel free to rename, re-upload, reuse, recycle, or do whatever with this, just make sure you actually improve something and throw my name in the credits.
Please note that the I9100 is not the I727 and any code that is released for them will be of little to no use to our community. Just a heads up, if you post something about the I9100 in this forum, you will probably get flamed.

Known Issues
A Red Box will rarely appear along the boundaries of the screen. This is due to the nature of the build (eng)
Sometimes the signal bars will go off for a few seconds. Could be a ril issue, could be something else.
Many, many more
Help with fixing any of these issues is always appreciated.
lets see where this gets us
the kernel is definitely an issue. xboarder said he had someone working on one, so maybe try the kernel he had used to get his up and running (from what i saw in the videos at least).

Yes, I know I need drivers to get it to boot. However, this isn't just compiled AOSP 4.0.3 (if that's what you were thinking) this is a release from qualcomm based on the msm8660 chipset (which we have in our phones) I also never said it was easy... Why don't you just release your code right now? The community would really appreciate it.

Actually, no I haven't seen this floating source. Can you post a link to it? I have been trying to build up an android_device_skyrocket tree for use in AOSP or CM7 (without much luck..).
Thanks for this, btw! I think there are a bunch of us itching to get a real compile from source going for the Skyrocket. I don't even care about ICS or CM9 right now. My goal would be to compile AOSP 2.3 or CM7 from source.

SalvageMod is a AOSP project developed by myself, Barnacles10, and echoside.
This software is built from the Android open source project 2.3.5 branch.
We are offering 1.4 both odex and deodex. Keep in mind, most themers theme deodex ROMs.
Make sure to choose what the google add-on that corresponds with your ROM choice.

Its aosp. They all work.
Downloading now.
I achieved a Quadrant score of 1460 with the last build. I'll report back after flash and restore.
Great job man. I'm just curious. Did you odex post-build or did you compile Rom with an odex option? Ive been playing with Rom building for some time now and have only messed with sense. I managed to build a stock aosp Rom the other day but would like to learn more about aosp building. Feel free to pm because I feel this post is off-topic. Thanks man.
Now that I have root again I might have to give this a go (would be first aosp Rom).

will there be any updates to the kernal? I'm not sure if HTC releasing source code changes anything...
Also does this rom still have the problem with the sensors that plagued the cm and deck roms?
Hmmm... No Go. After several attempts installing the fedex version; I restored V1.3. I was never able to boot past the htc EVO 4G screen.

Being an AOSP ROM, these do not rely on the HTC kernel code release. There are any of several fine kernels to choose from, so its virtually always possible to find one that your phone likes.
Regarding the 'problem with the sensors', can you elaborate on that? I've used a couple versions of the Evo-deck ROM and have yet to experience any issue.
I look forward to trying this ROM! For some reason, I couldn't get the 1.3 to run on my phone, but that could have been a bad download or similar issue. I was just too busy at that time. But I read so much good about the SalvageMod...I gotta give it a go!
Thank you for your time.
P.S: Thank you for offering the community both odex and deodex versions! I love themes, but the odex ROMs run way quicker on my phone.
Looks good I'll give it a try later.
Thanks lit.

I noticed there was a 1.4 deodexed Gapps package, but I didn't see one for 1.4 odexed.

Ah, I did run into this problem occasionally. I also found that when I would press the power button to wake the phone up when asleep I had to hold the power button down for a few seconds or it wouldn't wake up. I was using the SZ 2.2.1 kernel at the time, and later found that I experienced these things when using the smartass or SavageZen governors. I switched to InteractiveX and didn't experience them any more.
Thank you for your time.
Dang, lithid, I was just about to flash & test your kernel with the Synergy RLS-1 rom and then I saw this: Salvage-Mod 1.4....I was like, "WHAT!" ...Oh well, your new kernel can wait...hahaha.......flashing the latest Salvage-Mod cannot wait. Thank you.

maybe but i would not bet on that.
the one v uses the 8255 chipset, for that there are already many devices out while for our msm8960 the one s is the first.
they might keep the source back because of that.
but of course i hope they dont

so you think that htc doesn't want to "help" other manufacturers with their kernel adaptations?
possible but i can't imagine what htc would gain by holding the kernel code back on purpose. actually i think that since the community is always fixing their bugs and issues they can only profit from an early release of the code ... but let's see and hope that you are wrong

MIUI.us Is Proud To Present
MIUI v4.1 For HTC EVO 4GAs of 2.8.10, miui.com has stopped producing ICS builds that are based on AOSP. Only ICS builds now are patchrom which is a stock sense or touchwiz ROM with miui patched in. Since I port from the Nexus S, which is now built on Jellybean, all future builds will be Jellybean for the foreseeable future.

preludedrew and the Evervolv team. I built evervolv ROM from source to use as a base, if you want that build you can get it here
The kernel source used for this ROM can be found at https://github.com/Evervolv/android_kernel_htc_qsd8k
This ROM is now part of the MIUI.us buildbot and will be built automatically each week. You can find the EVO 4G download at roms.miui.us. When the build is synced and ready to go the roms.miui.us page will reflect the new build for the EVO 4G.
Please keep the comments on topic with regards to this ROM. If you find a bug or have an issue, please provide as much detail as possible. I'll be actively supporting this ROM on the EVO 4G so your input will be a big help in improving this ROM week after week.
With that said, I hope you enjoy it!
Downloading now...will report back later tonight after I get a chance to run through it.

What's the difference between this build and swipperrats build ?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
This build is the official MIUI.us release. I've built this ROM from the ground up using my Nexus One build as a base.
This includes MIUI.us translations in the apks as well as some minor modifications I have made to the launcher which allows you to customize the grid size and remove the icon text.
Consider this another choice for custom ROM users. After all, android is all about customization and choices.

The biggest difference is in the translations. MIUI.us uses US english while miuiandroid uses british english.
Then there are going to be differences in the way the ROM is ported. I take a minimalist approach and make sure not to include crap that is for other devices as that tends to cause more issues in the long run.
Oh and I also use a different kernel in this build. I tend to prefer Tiamat kernels as I know they are thoroughly tested and work quite well.
Even though to a T, Mason v0.14 No HWA No FSO is now getting solid reports of ebing better?? I know it's based on Tiamat, but having used both, Mason is def the way to go.
Not to tell you what to do with your ROM

I don't think so my friend.. Swipers download zip is 155 mb and this one is only 141 mb. I will give this dev a chance.

--Wireless tethering isn't an option
--I'm sure you guys will find the rest.
Screenies
Build 39
AOKP Changes
added ability to change host name (settings > dev > device hostname)
added ad-hoc network support
added adb over network
added AOKP stats (you can opt out, Settings > About > AOKP Statistics) www.stats.aokp.co
added bluewall firewall - RC > General UI > Less Notification Sounds
limits the number of notification sounds an app can play per X seconds
so like 1 GTalk ping/30s, but notifications will still be coming in
added "Device options" link in Settings for devices that have an app to tweak device-specific settings
right now I believe only tuna/aries/p1c have these, all credit goes to CM trees where these apps came from
improved weather code, shouldn't bother you everytime it updates weather now
added "copy to clipboard" option in "Share" dialogs throughout ANdroid
added ability to toggle to "new" and "original" music controls on the lockscreen
as always, tons of other device-specific and internal changes, find them all at http://gerrit.sudose...atus:merged,n,z
devices changes
p5: removed OTA assert, shouldn't be any more problems flashing
tuna: fixed vold.fstab file not being added properly, which led to MTP issues, core FCs
tuna: looks like the CM9 kernel was included with this build by mistake (due to the buildbot using inline kernels and some misc testing). It doesn't affect anything, just letting you guys know we know! Enjoy their code
added showcasemtd & mesmerizemtd
ville: YOU MUST WIPE!
misc other device changes -- ask your device maintainer
credit note: we try and preserve all proper authorship on git commits and the like, if you want to know who wrote a feature or where we got it from, check out git or gerrit and just browse through the commits!

Sorry, haven't read that thread yet. But awesome, this is my favorite ROM currently. ^_^
I can't wait till you guys get Camera working, then I'm gonna use this on my friend's Triumph as his DD (currently using Cm7 G60 style final ). I use AOKP on my GNex and it's the greatest ROM evar IMHO. A lot of those AOKP guys were from the Fascinate kangbang and pool party roms and they were my favorite prior's
Awesome, glad to see this being continued, really like this rom can't wait till I can use it as a daily rom, running cm7 g60 final.mobster tweaked, also a [email protected] rom thanks for the work y'all do

Right now it's one the list of things to fix but no ETA right now. rivs from AF (Android Forums) has been working on it.
Maybe its just me but do anybody else have to activate their phone after flashing AOKP Bulid 39? I flashed back to CM9 and I'm no need to I just though I'll point it out.

Personally haven't flashed it yet. I'll try reproducing it right now.
I've been messing with the nightlies a lot lately. So a few of them are bad (not everything working). Working on a stable build

PLEASE DISREGARD ANY REFERENCES MADE TO THE GALAXY NEXUS, WITH OUR EVER INCREASING DEVICE SUPPORT IT CAN BE HARD TO MAKE ALL OF THESE OP's Without a couple derps. the download links to the ville and unless you want to use face unlock, sily camera FX, or DRM i would reccomend against flashing the extras. DO NOT FLASH GAAPS, they are included
hello all I am the maintainer/dev for this device and liquid. Our rom is optimized using the linaro toolchain and has a TON OF AWESOME options, no gaaps are required to flash and I truly think you'll enjoy the speed, performance customizations we offer for this phone (aswell as the others we support) I am currently working on creating a kernel to accompany the ROM, for now it uses intervigil's latest insecure...Feel free to flash your favorite over it! If you have any further questions or would like to know more about our project you can check out our main AOSP Nexus thread Cheers and post your quadrant scores!

Sounds interesting. What works and what not? Is this cm9 based or pure aosp port?

I tried this ROM this morning, and it felt really fast and smooth. I had 1 problem tho, I couldn't get any signal, also, it didn't ask me to enter my pin code after a reboot. Did a full wipe and flashed boot in fastboot mode. Besides this everything seemed to run really well.
Bugs?

Its actually neither cm9 based nor 'pure aosp' We use AOSP repos, our framework was forked from AOKP back in january but we have since diverged from them and added our own features. Really the best way to see ALL of the features is to flash the rom. Go through ALL of the settings, we have a TON of customizations...none of the screenshots i used involved the tmobile theme engine and we have our own integrated liquid launcher based off of AOSP stock launcher that i find to be quite fast. As far as bugs go, if you do not get RIL on first flash try to just reboot and if that doesn't work reflash. After speaking with a lot of ville devs this seems to be a general AOSP issue. I got the phone on friday and finally got the compiler to play nice two days ago. Im extremely proud of this rom and I really reccomend you guys try it out!

Guys im FLATTERED, this type of response truly makes all of my hard work on this phone WORTH IT We really are trying to spread the liquid love as best we can and to those of you who don't know, Take a chance, i think you will be pleasantly suprised with what you find. On the note of jellybean, the whole team is hard at work at getting the JB-DEV branch up and running, and from there we will be Starting LJB alphas, We will not know if the ONE s like to boot into JB with an ICS kernel or not until we get there. Hope to have an LJB alpha thread as soon as...later today?
