I am try to do some work on the galaxy tab 8.9 LTE (SGH-i957). Same chipset as the skyrocket. I am trying to write the update script for the tab using a skyrocket update binary.
this is the layout of the tab.
Code:
# mount point fstype device [device2]
#/tmp ramdisk
/boot emmc /dev/block/mmcblk0p8
/cache ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p25
/data ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p26
#/misc mtd misc
/recovery emmc /dev/block/mmcblk0p22
#/sdcard vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p28 /dev/block/mmcblk0
/system ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p24
/efs ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p21
could someone post this info, but for the skyrocket? thanks
boot.img = mmcblock0p8
recovery.img = mmcblk0p22
system.img = mmcblk0p24

Thanks man. I also need data and cache. Or you can just tell me the adb command and I can check myself, I can't remember what it was.

Format your sdcard using SD Formatter.
Unlike PC formatters, SD Formatter won't format the card's protected area, and also gives the card the best performance.
Mini tool partitioner is also a great alternative.

Or use recovery! It will partition as EXT4

Hi, i flashed the ICS HongKong/Taiwan because i want to install CM10.1 Kexec.
I'm using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35000737
I have installed the latest moto drivers, and i have activated usb debugging.
I open the .bat and says
<waiting for device>
sending boot 8192KB
Or something like that, but, never moves from there.
I'm using windows 8, but i tried the same in another pc with windows 7, and it happens almost the same.
PS: Can i install CM10.1 Kexec with Retail UAE?
PS: I think it fails at this line:
adb shell mv /data/local/12m/batch /data/local/12m/batch.bak
adb shell ln -s /data /data/local/12m/batch

or manually flash the Chinese kernel then reboot then root using 4.0.4 root method then flash hktw kernel.
well it worked for me. is used this method to go on official miui becausei have mb one

Dear all,
I seem to have a problem creating the mount script for Link2SD
I have the same (or a variation of the) problem when using FAT32, ext2, ext3 and ext4.
The error for ext4 for instance:
Code:
Mount script cannot be created
Invalid argument mount:
Operation not permited
Some screenshots (may be usefull):

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The last one is after a restart, link2sd gives a mount error with the option for a soft reboot (or recreate mount script, which leads to error). I can soft reboot and just use link2sd without problems (but without mount script).
The phone has a locked bootloader, is rooted and using a ftf downloaded with XperifFirm (D2203_Proximus (Vfe) BE_1289-2433_18.5.C.0.19_R6B) and flashed using flashtool.
Any ideas?
Is there maybe a way to manually create the mount script based on the last screenshot?
TIA
Do you have second partition on SD card in ext2 format?
What about your root? Do you have SuperSu or other app like KingRoot? Kingroot may not work correctly with Link2SD.
Check also if Link2SD have or have not been granted by the root app.
Hello Guys
I have this Moto G xt1032 (version whitout sdcard slot)
I used this cm-14.1-20161225-NIGHTLY-falcon.zip and open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20170928.zip
I got this message when I tried to use the camera:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
My guess is the mount point do not worked fine
So I made a ssh connection:
$: df
$: Vim /fstab.qcom
I tried other snapshots from lineageOS and CyanogenMod but the error is the same
I know some versions of this phone has sdcard slot, but mine don’t.
You guys have any clue to solve this? Thank you
I discover that /storage/emulated/0 or /sdcard has no DCIM folder, so I tried to create with no sucess this fodler, i got no permissions, even root on Terminal.
so I boot on TWRP and create folder there, sucess, but when android boots again I cant write any files there
falcon:/storage/emulated/0/DCIM # chmod 7777 /storage/emulated/0/DCIM -R
falcon:/storage/emulated/0/DCIM # touch 34
touch: '34': Permission denied
Solved!
Hi man, I had the same, the problem was I did format internal storage with that every folder was deleted, but I fixed, how come?
Install de rom stock and this fixed the folders problem and then you could flash your favorite rom
so i got myself into a really bad situation and i need to re-partition my device.
i already pushed parted and mkfs to the device (/sbin), i just need to know how am i supposed to partition my device
is it similar to a normal linux system (/boot and /, maybe a separate /home partition)?

if you dont know what are you doing , dont touch any partition
Try flashing stock firmware
If i'm not wrong, GPT is pretty common. It's pretty advanced format scheme than MBR ( AKA MSDOS ). GPT has features like backup partition table and naming/flag, supports larger disk than MBR - take note that with Android 6.0 the ability to adopt external storage media was introduced which uses GPT as default partition format.
