Hi,
I am not sure if this has been posted earlier by someone regarding the new build for ICS Build 3 installation.
Following are the things that I did for flashing this amazing rom and everything works fine (except the bugs which are still to be fixed). No sim card, sd card, headset or flickering issues.
Steps
Flash build3 as one package using Odin.
Let the device boot completely.
Flash build 3 kernel (by apollo) as one package using Odin again.
Put arakmar's kernel (zip) on your SD card.
Reboot in recovery.
Flash arakmar's kernel.
Wipe data and cache.
Reboot the device.
You wil have the ICS working with USB debugging and storage option. No more FCs while installing any new app. Sim card is recognized automatically. Headsets work fine. Storage issue (faced it for a long time for both internal and external memory) is fixed.
Hope the above information is helpful (at-least for someone)
Edit : Install arakmar's new kernel ics24.zip, I am using it for past 2 days now and the rom works pretty smooth.

also if proxy support apply on all apps too if we appy and save settings for a certain wifi network?
i.e. as a university student University student wifi has to be run wid ip and proxy bt after applying and saving it only applies or run on default proxy and no other app run thru wifi . .
both tried on gingerbreb and froyo bt
on ics proxy applies on all apps and all apps cn go thru wifi. . which i tried on Samsung nexus s wid ics. .
wt abt sg3 wid ics?
da sam works like nexus s wid ics?
plz sum one test and tell. .

there are separate android apps, you know one thing? there is an android market in every android phone.

Delete the app and reinstall just app, after you see the icon then go back and add data. I'm here looking 4 a replacement 4 my epic so that's how I know! Goodluck if any, pm me!

Woah O.O thank you for this tutorial cause when i made it myself i realy think i would make something false but yeah i cant wait for built 4 then i try it myself too
now i'm using cm7 but yeah with some cool ics theme
a problem i faced while using build 3 with arakmars newest kernel, was that for a day it would work like a charm, then i'd start getting a horrible lag on the touchscreen, where it wouldn't log my touches for about 2 minutes. this went away after a reboot, but i ended up having to reboot every day. any solutions?

Try clearing all the running processes and keep the internal memory free. I am using this ROM daily and have faced no lag issues yet.

Hi guys!
The ICS is very good, but I have got a very big problem.
I can just call emergency number. When I want to select the 'Telenor HU' manually, it says:"Can't currently connect to "Telenor HU". Please try again later!"
And a smaller problem:
The keyboards bottom isn't on the screen!
The first problem is bigger, so ithe answer of it is enough.

1) Why is it very Difficult to develop a cyanogen mod or Miui (How do the devs go about the process) ?
2) Can you give some details about porting roms (I know dsixda's Kitchen has an option of porting and i does a very basic porting) ? once its ported using dsixda's Kitchen which tool is used for debugging for the errors which follow ?
3) Is there any other method of porting Rom's which is better ?

answer 1: there no proper source files for cm7 n miui thats y its very difficult ro make a stable version of em n the files we have r broken n even no documentatiion for them that's its difficult!!!! secondly lack of developers is also a main reason if team samsung wud have taken the work on their hands we wud have gotten cm7/miui by now....but unfortunately our devices are not so popular!!!!

you can use dsidia itself it has a option for checkin errors n for the bugs u have to corect them urslf by using brain like if some procees giving error replace its files with another rom's file!!!! thats wat i know if there is sumthing more i cant tell u as i dont know abt it

Major difference is that cm7 is based on gingerbread and cm9 is based on ice cream sandwich 4.0.3

Some suggestions...
The stock launcher does not provide the facility for wallpaper scrolling ... and is preaty mush lagie....so u can install apex launcher......its fast nd provide more flexibility...

Some more small problems.....
I m using it as my daily rom......known issues r known but some more minnor isues..
Wall paper scrolling...on stock launcher....using apex launcher but facing problem with widgets.....contacts problem....not able to show contacts directly from sim.....have to import to phone first(nt a big issue)...but when u sync ur google account....ur google saved contacts r shown....i dnt know why my account is showing a single contact 8 to 9 times....if u go to display options...nd unselect google contacts....u r left with 0 contacts.........nd if u go nd select show all contacts it will show u ur google contacts with...ur sim contacts.....the problem is sim is also messing up with google account.....solution-go to settings.....account setting....remove ur google accouny...then again sign in...then immediately go to settings then account settings nd dis sellect sync contacts..... ..

I just use the facebook app from market to sync all contacts ,have you tried it ??
And il flash the rom when i reach home on wed then il maybe be of more help
I tested it for a couple of hours. And was better than I expected, the phone was working reallly fast and smooth.
The most annoying bug/issue was that my Wifi wasn't working well, I couldn't find my Network.
I'll read about news, this'll be one of the best roms.
There is a quick and dirty fix for that. Just add a network manually, then scan. it works fine that way.
Indeed, ICS is very stable and fast on i9003, the biggest issue is probably Camera/Video.
Also, just as with CM7, no forms of tethering work. I use easytether.

It's so nice to see how this great ROM that is Cyanogen is developing, when i first get my I9003 i though there was little modding for this smartphone, thanks to Zeus it isn't like that!

Weird problem.. unable to download anything from either market or stock browser.. the downloading bar appears but nothing gets downloaded.. surfing is ok.. just no downloads.. there is free space in sd card..
Problem on wifi and 2g as well as 3g internet..
Downloads were fine the last time i installed cm9 for testing..

I think this ROM is good, very fast, but...Wi-fi, bluetooth etc. doesn't work and when I apply your bug fix for all ROMs, it stucks on the CM logo or reboots all the time any advice please?

this issue will be cause if the wipe is not done properly
first apply the rom wipe/factory reset and reboot
second apply the patch wipe/factory reset and reboot
and final one gapps apply wipe/data and reboot and so all your bugs will be rectified have a try sorry for long processor

I upgraded to ICS Alpha to how how it was working, it was crap so I flashed back to this rom, and I am now having problems with WIFI, I have signal but Browser, Market and Sync all have connection problems

ics is under development and i think you not see some lines in thread

friend i think ur getting use of my old one this i posted was new update on 3rd april
have a try so at this update fixes are wifi stability, and few minute bugs just follow the instruction that i given at last comment on how to flash so there will be no bugs
this rom is for daily use

If you are in Cyanogen mod, I think it's that the problem (like for the wifi tethering). You must try with stock ROM.

Thanks for your reply Ryryoku. I discussed with Fast file transfer developer about my problem, below is his reply,
"I know that it works on CM10 and stock GB on the GT-I9000. Unfortunately it seems like the 9003 is a quite a rare device. I've not heard of any user except you who is running the app on a 9003 (be it successfully or not) and I don't have a device to test and find out what exactly is wrong.."
I don't know CM10 in I9000 has working WiFi tether, any how as your advice I'll try going back to stock ROM and give it a try.
Just wanted to know any of you tried these apps on your I9003?

Please don't misguide people. Kernel 3.0 isn't released yet. These issues will be cleared when its development is completed. Patience is required. Developers are working on it.

I may not know what is this WiFi Direct, but i know what is WiFi Hotspot. Many features were disabled on CM9/10 because the lack of Kernel 3.0

Ya..fast file transfer app works in ddlf2 rom..and other gingerbread rom also...it uses wifi tethering for file transferring....since there is wifi tethering bug in cm9 nd cm10..it is not working...if kernel 3.0 comes..it will work in cm10 also...

MiniCM9 by @immortal_yash supposedly didn't have the wifi toggle problem. Many users reported it as working fine. A reboot is said to fix it, (though there is another fix via adb which I read somewhere on XDA.)
If this happens to you frequently, do notify in the MiniCM9 thread, but the developer can't do anything as he lost his pico
I noticed something that may help.
When I flash a ROM I wipe everything before the flash. And I dont wipe anything after. I am using CM10 (I used CM9 for looong time) and I didn't have the toogle problem in CM10 (in CM9 I did). But someday I wiped my cache and i started to have the toogle problem. Is this any helpfull?
I did a clean install of CM10 and pandora kernel and I am not having the problem now.

i have same problm in minicm9
last night use pandroa kernel my problm solve its better but have togel gps not all time
the gps dont turn on and i reboot pico and can use gps
the wifi after kernel sometimes dont on i go to dev tools and enable disble wifi then wifi work

When I flash a ROM I wipe everything before the flash. And I dont wipe anything after. I am using CM10 (I used CM9 for looong time) and I didn't have the toogle problem in CM10 (in CM9 I did). But someday I wiped my cache and i started to have the toogle problem. Is this any helpfull?
I did a clean install of CM10 and pandora kernel and I am not having the problem now.

i use pandora kernel v 2 for minicm9 but now see pandora kernel topic i think i use v 1.0?

well dear .. atleast dev tool can fix this prob without reboot ... it's much time savng than doing a reboot .. well dont know abt the gps .. because i dont use it ..
yeah v2 is out .. im using v1 still .. will try it soon if u tried it tell me how waz it ... better than v1 or not

go for the v2 .. its much faster ..
well .. now em using cm10 beta 6 .. rom .. with its inbuild kernel ... used v2 in cm9 it was working much faster . than v1. try it ! n choose ur self

Did you solve the google play problem ? I mean some apps in google play that are working on our device are blocked from downloading like Mozilla Firefox and others that are not working on our device like Real Racing 3 can be downloaded from google play and there are many more examples like this. Is this problem fixed in your rom ?

bro..i dont know about what u r talking about but the supported app for our phone can be downloaded from android market
WIFI is not working in this ROM, it gets stuck at obtaining IP adress no matter what you do and what WIFI network you chose !
The bluetooth is also not working...

I can't make a video and post it on youtube because i don't own a separate camera... I think that i was very clear in what i told you regarding your rom's bugs !

Ok I have tried the rom, encountered some issues, like always getting msg youtube fc,
Second major issue is like " WI/FI not connecting to a hotspot... I have created a hotspot on my Nexus 4 But in P690 it is showing "obtaining ip address only for a long time"
Fix that OP..

There is a rom called giggerblur b. In that those fixes are provided as separate zips.
