I'm asking anyone and everyone for help in finding the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 splash screen and the Samsung Splash Screen for use as my background/wallpaper. What I'm seeking are the first 2 screens when you boot the Note, I'll attach a couple of pix taken from another phone as my Note was booting.
I haven't rooted my Note, I'm waiting for ICS, as I have with every Android device I've owned so I don't have access to the boot animation images. What I have found are files with a .qmg extension and I don't know what app is use to open and extract the images I need.
If anyone already has them could you please consider sharing them, otherwise I'm willing to"donate" to get the highest quality image. I'm also going to attach the.qmg files I downloaded from the General discussion forum if that could aid someone willing to take the time to help me out.
For some reason I can't attach files - I need to find out why, I'm sorry for that. However ,I did find a web site those shows both of the screens I'm after very clearly. Please head over to this address to get a good look at them.

Finally, Thank You, thank you, thank you!
First of all - Thank You! I to had finally found a couple of images after searching each and every day with every variable I could possibly think of since I received my Galaxy Note last November. Literally, I searched each and every day for hours at a time.
Dayum I can't thank you enough!
I finally came across an image of the GT-N7000 on the day you posted this, although I didn't even think to come back here and check out if somebody had finally gotten into the system files. The image(s) you posted are the **** - incredible quality - thanks man.
I made up a couple of backgrounds with the image I found but the quality isn't as perfect as these. I'd say the image I found is about 85% of the quality when compared to those you pulled.

No designers up for it?
This would be cool
I am attempting it myself.. but I believe I lack the skills to ultimately create what I want. I will press on. If any designers still want to help me with this I would love to see what you can do.
hope some talented member can help you out but here's what I have.
Yeah that would be awesome as well. Maybe a model and Animated Render of that image in flight for a boot image. With Loading... as the text burning below.
I have to say this thread has well over a 1,000 views and no one has stepped up.. I am going to take matters in my own hands and attempt to create it myself. Time to get some 3D Rendering software and Photoshop booted up. If any Graphic artist or Themers want to help please pm me or respond to this thread. Thanks.

It probably has 1000 views cos it'd be cool to have and people want it versus capable people seeing it and walking away
Get a rip of one of the Xmen Phoenix episodes and do a framegrab

I just spent the better part of 5 hours working on a concept boot Animation for it... I will upload it to youtube in about 30 min and post the link for you to tell me what you think.
Delayed till tomorrow night. Turns out I made my pngs the wrong size and I have to redo all of them. Batch job underway.
I'd totally be into this, but like many here, I lack the knowledge to pull it off myself.... looking forward to hearing progress!
Update Tested a Upload to my phone and it looks good but Am going to resize the image to make it larger. right now it's about the size of the Normal nexus Logo on boot and I want a full screen effect. I am at work so I will try to get it done when I get home then I will Post the update.zip for those interested in flashing the Alpha Concept bootanimation. I am glad some of you are interested. Please take it easy on me as this is my first real attempt at anykind of graphic design.. I am impressed with myself for what I half already made and I already have had several ideas for improving what i will post later today.
P.S. In a effort to keep this thread Organized I am going to start editting the first post so keep and eye out today and tomorrow. I got 3 hours slept last need after working on teachign myself Photoshop and 3d Studio Max. =) If I actually get really efficient I am going to make many more Boot animations and possible help some of you with requested boot screens.
First Post Updated with Alpha Release - For some Reason the Video will not go full screen. I even used other boot animations as a reference and still can not get it to go full screen. This is a major frustration at this point anyone that can enlightenten me why? my images are currently in 512 by 800 resolution in PNG's Originally I made them 512 x 256.
I have updated the Animation again this time with the phoenix graphic loaded on it and text in which I believe would look better Animated. Give me your feedback. New files is Alpha 0.1.2. Let me know if you have any feedback.
Hey everyone! I am pretty new here to XDA, registering account-wise, i have always followed everyone's awesome knowledge from here.
Well I hope to bring some good exposure and knowledge to help contribute to the xda cause. I have been recording How To videos on things I have found from all the great work you guys have done from the forums.
I try to explain things simply to non-technical people and make it somewhat easy. These first couple of videos might be a little rough, but this is my first attempt at doing video-tutorials.
Anyways I would appreciate any feedback from you guys. I also give credit where credit is due, i have linked to the original source of the thread if I used anyone's specific method.
Would anyone like me to do a video for anything else? I have a couple more ideas such as how to put the droidx multitouch keyboard on, installing samsung kies software/drivers and also how to remove the AT&T bloatware.
take care everyone and keep up the awesome work!!!

i would like to see how to get rid of all the bloatware,,also if you get a good camcorder im sure it would be appreciated by all
Another video tutorial that would be neat (if ironic) would be one over the camera's features. There are so many its over whelming on how to use them all to your advantage.

Hello all,
I just bought my Captivate last weekend, so far I like it a lot...one issue I have is there is a tutorial within the settings but for some reason I cannot get it to start. It says touch "begin" to start tutorial or something like that and then does nothing.
Anyone else have this issue or know how to get it to start? I really haven't done much with the phone since I got it aside from download a few apps.
I just tried mine and it doesn't work too. I waited for minutes thinking that maybe it's loading something in the background, but nothing happened.
Ok thanks, thought it was just me. I was interested in checking it out as there really is no real manual...the quick tip booklet was helpful though. Guess I'll have to wait and see if this actually gets fixed.
I wish I could remember where I found the manual, but I can't. The size is larger than what's alloted on the forum so I can't attach it. Here is a link to it on mediafire. I take no credit, I'm just passing along what someone else has shared.
Hope it helps.

Thanks for the link!
The Captivate manual can be found on Samsung's website (shortened URL below):

There is also a Spanish version available if that suits your fancy.
Hey all, I didn't know if this would be the right section to post a question about the problem I'm having but since it's concerning an app in android, I figured that this would be the right place to ask. I love the gallery app A LOT! However, my one BIG problem with it is the way it orders my pictures . Apparently it orders it by timestamps. I don't mind it doing it with the pictures I take with the phone's camera itself, but it really bugs me when it does it with the photos I put in myself through USB. A while back, I went through hell for hours just renaming all my pictures on my computer by name (for ex: 001.jp, 002.jpg, 003.jpg) just so they can all be ordered and organized by name. But every time I put it into my phone and open the gallery on froyo, it mixes up the whole order and organizes it by date taken. Alot of the dates are wrong (some will say the pics were taken in 1979 ). Is their anyway to change this (the ordering format)? I will be SO THANKFUL if anyone could give some advice on the topic. BTW I'm running stock froyo CM6 mod on my HD2 (US version). Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.
Still nothing?? PLEASE someone has to know something..
same here
i have the same problem and it pisses me off. all my pics in the gallery are like all over the place.
I think it's crap, also, so I now add subfolders, and group pictures that way...
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Yeah my pics and galleries are all over the place also and I HATE IT. Hey danger-rat, can you explain in more detail how you use sub-folders to organize the pictures? I really cant stand the way my gallery looks. Someone has to know something. I looked everywhere and a lot of people pointed out this issue yet no one has fixed it apparently. I guess it still isn't that much of a concern to most people (which sux!).
I am starting a blog which will be completely dedicated to "how-to" videos for the GTab that you can find at:GTabUnleashed.com
and I was looking for some requests, since I think it is much easier to do a lot of the mods if you can see it being done... less chances of making a mistake, and you can actually see that it works...
before you respond... I must tell you what I have recorded so far:
the basics:
Clockwork Mod Rooting
Rom flashing (Vegan 5.1 and subsequent update to 5.1.1)
& Market Fix
Flash fix... which was later made into flash 10.2/hulu fix
and swype keyboard
NOTE: I want to do the viewsonic boot logo replacement, and despite reading the post for that... I am pretty uncertain about NVFlash and may need some help... if someone could assist me that would be rad!
And based on what I've seen for videos out there... I felt it could be done better and all in one place...
so my videos are all shot from a tripod freeing up my hands
and in a dark room for clarity and will be edited so be as short and concise as possible giving you ample time to continue scouring the forums.
So what else do you want to see?
Well I suppose it's sort of been done but a quick overview of all the popular roms (at a decent resolution 720p or at least 480p) would be really nice.
Go over installation and difficulties
Speed
Functionality specific to the rom itself
Use for every day use
Use for development.
probably overkill but.. hey I'm just wishful thinking.
Basically videos showing off the rom doing things people would do like how long to launch from power off, performance when web browsing (pinch zoom, navigating, etc), gaming, scrolling on a decent launching (LauncherPro, zeam, etc)
Flashing custom Kernel (pershoot, Clemsyn). They are basically the same as flashing a Rom. but people get confused on this issue.
I would love to see videos on how to flash ROMs other than Vegan.
Thanks for the input... so far
Thanks you guys... I think all the "woot" madness has caused my post to generate little to no interest... but that is ok... the Blog has gotten 150 views in the last two day, and that is with no videos in it... so thats a good start...
to be fair... my videos are not super high quality, they are shot on a canon power shot... but they are steady and visible. Plus they are super short, who wants to watch a 15 min video on flashing clockwork mod... mine is a minute and a half... all of the screens you will need to see to be sucessful... and that really is the whole point...
they are only meant to be suppliments to the many well written, step by step, XDS forum threads that have given me the sweet running GTab I have in my possession today... the threads will be linked, the developers responsible will be given all of the credit... I will just be there for visual backing... seeing is believing...
but yes... I will flash every rom, play with every program, and game, and show off every keyboard...
eventually, you should be able to go to one site GTabUnleashed.com and see everything in one place...
because good info on the forums are getting harder to find everyday!
I am very interested in watching anything you can post that will give me more confidence that I am following instructions correctly.
yeah, I wooted LOL all the more reason I'm interested in anything you're willing to demonstrate. And thank you, wonderful idea you have!
